Change of the energy used in a house can be separated from LNG, and electric power. The electric power consumption of a house is more increasing than LNG. The interest for electric houses is rising due to energy saving and low carbon emission. Accordingly, the amount of energies and cost are analyzed consumed in a house using cumulative energy consumption. The result of analysis, amount of electric power, is more increase. In comparison, the use volume of city gas is more decrease. In this paper, the use volume of energy resource is analyzed using historical energy consumption data in the past 25 years. In addition, expected electrical power and heating energy is analysed adopting an Electric Residence.

한국토지주택공사(LH)가 지난해 11월 서울시 강남구 자곡동 보금자리지구에 개관한 'The Green'관은 주택의 에너지 성능 검증 및 발전 등을 위해 에너지절약, 친환경, 재활용, 공간가변 등 총 60여가지의 신기술을 전시 체험할 수 있도록 해 주목받았다. 분야별로는 에너지제로 관련 33가지, 친환경 재활용 7가지, 공간가변 9가지, 그린IT 12가지 등이다. 본지는 The Green관의 전시 개요 및 기술들에 대해 간략히 소개한다.

태양열주택에서부터 인공위성에 이르기까지 태양열을 에너지원으로 이용하는 연구가 세계적으로 한창이다. 우리가 이용할 수 있는 에너지원중 가장 손쉽게 무한량 이용할 수 있고 또 Clean Energy이기 때문에 선진외국에서는 국력을 과시라도 하듯이 실용화연구에 열을 올리고 있다. 우리나라 에서도 최근 이 태양열을 주택의 난방에 이용하기 위한 실용화 연구가 진행중인데. 얼마전 정부에서는 이 태양에너지의 개발이용을 국가정책사업으로 확정하고 2천년대까지 4단계로 태양에너지의 본격적인 실용화를 위한 기본게획을 수립, 추진중에 있다. 그래서 최근 발족한 태양에너지 학회 김효경회장으로부터 Solar Energy란 과연 어떠한 에너지이며 이에 대한 연구는 어느정도까지 진행되고 있는지 연구개발현황등에 대해 자세히 알아보기로 한다.

The government has made a lot of efforts to realize 'low-carbon green growth', one of the national policy agendas, throughout the whole industries. The construction sector is not an exception, and technological developments are active to reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gas emission. In particular, buildings occupy more than 20% of the total national energy consumptions. Thus, it can be said that increasing energy efficiency of the residential buildings and reducing CO2 emission are the urgent national agenda. Moreover, as ordinary people find it more and more difficult to get a lease on housing, which has become an important social issue recently, a housing production system that can actively respond to market demands is in urgent need. To build an eco-friendly system that can maximize efficiency in construction, this study attempts to examine and analyze the modular housing production system in the county and to find its problems. By suggesting the ways to improve the system, it aims to prepare for the base to revitalize the unit modular housing production system.

태양열이용주택의 외국자료중 일리노이주 에너지 및 건축 위원회에서 주최한 현상설계모집에 당선된 당선작중 DAVID. C. YOUNG씨 안과 STEPHEN R. STOCK씨안을 소개한다. YOUNG씨 안은 수동시스템(Passive system)의 대표적인 예의 작품으로 소개할 수 있으며 STOCK씨안은 능동시스템(Active system)의 좋은 예로 소개하고 싶다. 여기서는 단독 예만을 소개하고 집합주택의 능동시스템을 제외하였다.

This research was carried out to evaluate and raise the energy efficiency of wood frame house. The commercial solution program CE3 (Construction Energy Efficiency Evaluation) was used for simulating the energy consumption in the single-family wood frame house. The results showed that the annual heating energy demand of the house was 160 kWh per 1 $m^2$ floor area. In order to decrease the heating energy demand, the following energy efficiency methods were applied to the simulation : a) simplification of building shape, b) decrease of windows area, c) application of high performance windows (with low thermal transmittance) and d) application of heat recovery ventilator. In case of replacement of the windows with high performance one with thermal transmittance 1 $W/m^2{\cdot}K$, the lowest heating demand of 80 $kWh/m^2{\cdot}a$ was obtained. The best combination of methods, application of high performance windows and heat recovery ventilator, showed heating energy demand 34.5 $kWh/m^2{\cdot}a$.

충남 금산군 복수면 백암리에 위치한 에너지생태과학관(관장 임상훈). 얼핏 주택 같아 보여 간판이 없었다면 그냥 지나쳤을지도 모른다. 하지만 평범해 보이는 이곳은 전국과학관협의회에 공식적으로 등록돼 있는 엄연한 진짜 과학관이다. 생태체험과 에너지의 쓰임 등을 한눈에 볼 수 있는 이곳, 에너지생태과학관에서 발길을 멈췄다.
