An Automatic Mover for a Double-parked Car (이중 주차된 차량용 자동 이동 장치)

  • In this paper, the problem of a double-parked car has been investigated and a method to solve it is studied. Double parking is very common in a public parking lot with insufficient parking space. If a double-parked car blocked the way, a person needs to push the double-parked car to move it. The problem is that moving a double-parked car with hands is very hard and dangerous, especially for the old and the weak. To solve the above mentioned problem, an automatic mover for a double-parked car is proposed and developed. The basic idea is that a double-parked car can be moved by rolling its one wheel. Two rollers are designed and manufactured, which are used to roll a wheel of a double-parked car. The developed automatic mover has two rollers, two driving wheels, and four castors. It also has several ultrasonic sensors so that it can detect obstacles in the way and prevent possible collision. It is verified through several experiments that the developed automatic mover can move a double-parked car safely and easily.

The Economic Analysis of Underground Parking Lot Frames adopting 8-Bay Parking Modules (8-Bay 주차모듈을 적용한 아파트 지하주차장 구조의 경제성 분석)

  • On 30 June, 2017, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport announced the minimum size of parking section will be expanded in parking lots. The expansion of parking section could lead to increase in apartment prices because of increase in total area of the parking lots. It is necessary to adjust the column spacing and number in the parking lots and to apply the 8-Bay long-span parking module with good parking efficiency. According to the study, the construction cost of the 6-Bay module and 8-Bay module was almost the same. But The 8-Bay module was more economical than the 6-Bay module because of the reduction in total area of 8-Bay multi-moduel. The Result of construction cost of 8-Bay modules, Removal Deck-plate RC system was most economical. While the construction cost of PC system was higher due to increase in volume of the member, it would ensure sufficient economy by reducing the girder height to apply a pre-stress method. Also, the construction cost of hollow slab system was the highest. But it could be used as the underground parking lots for apartment, because it had the lowest cost per square meter. This Study has a academic significance by proving the applicability of the 8-Bay Module to underground parking lot of apartment. And it is expected that this study will be used as basic data to derive optimal construction method that applies 8-Bay Module.

  • The parking management system can increase driver's convenience with detailed parking information service in the parking lot. At the same time, parking management system consumes non-negligible electrical energy with large amount of sensors, displays and control modules. With the increase in the demand for green and sustainable building design all over the world, it becomes a meaningful issue for parking management system to reduce operating power. This paper presents the preliminary design and estimated results of a parking management system which is optimized to reduce the power consumption mainly on detectors and displays. The system design is based on pre-developed wireless parking detectors, Park Tile and Park Disk. The system has a number of parking space detectors, vehicle count detectors, information displays, guidance terminals and other control units. We have performed system architecture design, communication network design, parking information service scenario planning, battery life regulation and at last operating power estimation. The estimated operating power was 0.93KW per parking-slot, which is 20% of traditional systems. The estimated annual maintenance cost was 18% of traditional systems.

  • This paper researches on securing parking spaces and improving parking performance, by use of vehicle license plate investigation for average parking time and parking turnover ratio. Even though general surveys on vehicle license plate investigation are performed by the person, our survey is performed by the machine, CCTV. Unusually, our method checks average parking time and parking turnover ratio at time intervals of the survey. So, it is easy to check whether a parking lot is effectively used and its traffic flows smoothly or not. In our experiment, we exclude a method to recognize characters by use of 4-direction projection.

  • Apartment complex, buildings, markets and department stores have inner parking lots which can accept many cars but drivers waste lots of times to find the empty parking spaces in crowding parking lots. In this paper, we proposed the inner parking information support system based on microprocessor which can decrease roaming times to find vacant parking spot in confusing parking lots through notice monitor and provide SMS to make it easy to find parked place. Proposed system consist with RFID system for detecting access of cars, microprocessor system for processing data of checking existence of cars on parking spots and communicating with server, and server system which processes information of cars' in and out, guides empty parking spots and parked location to drivers. Suggested system is realized by handmade model parking lot size of 8 cars, and we confirmed practicality by providing information using parking notice monitor and single message service.

  • In order to improve the problem of parking which is getting worse day by day, the municipality carries out a survey on the actual situation of the parking lot supply and demand periodically according to the related law. However, in the existing evaluation method, the parking demand that occurs under the condition that the demand is suppressed by the parking supply and regulation due to the limit of the survey method is investigated. In addition, the analysis is conducted only for the present year, and prediction and analysis of future parking problems are limited. Therefore, we propose a method to evaluate the status of parking supply and demand, which is differentiated to improve the problem of the existing evaluation method. As a result, comparing the existing method with the improved method, it can be seen that the improved evaluation method can be useful for establishing the long-term parking policy for the improvement of parking problems.

  • An increase in number of vehicles owned by individuals worsens the conditions of parking in residential areas. So to speak, the pedestrians' safety is seriously threatened by illegally parked vehicles on the residential area roads. As a result, the number of vehicle-to-pedestrian accidents has been increasing annually. Also, illegal parking on arterial roads is increasingly becoming common, especially by cooommercial trucks. However, no solution has been found to reduce or eliminate accidents caused by vehicles illegally parked on readside. The result of this study provides the solutions to enhance the safety of residential area roads and arterial roads, from viewpoints of both long-term and short-term, by collecting data about the status of illegal parking and addressing critical problems.

  • In this study, when another vehicle is parked in a designated space where a personal vehicle can park and a defined personal use time, an ultrasonic object recognition sensor is used to determine vehicle entry, and a camera sensor recognizes a license plate. If the vehicle is not recognized by the individual vehicle owner, the "private parking lot operation block" of the application server receives the individual phone number based on the National Police Agency's Vehicle Number Information Inquiry Open API. Afterwards, when parking is processed, the non-right holder receives the approval of the parking right holder, parks for the recognized time, and deposits the parking fee into the public account of the city hall. Through this study, it was possible to find an operation processing method that can most effectively manage parking in the city center in a private parking space recognized by the city hall.

  • 본 논문에서는 주차설비의 제어장치와 기계장치 설계와 시뮬레이터를 구현한다. 이 제어기는 다층각형순환식 주차설비 시스템의 제어에 적용될 수 있도록 한다. 또, 주차설비 제어장치의 정확한 동작을 확인할 수 있는 시뮬레이터를 개발한다. 시뮬레이터 개발의 목적은 기계장치 대신에 현장에 있는 기계장치와 제어 신호면에서 완전히 일치하는 시뮬레이터를 고안하여 실제 기계장치 없이 주차설비 제어장치의 개발에 도움을 줄 수 있게 하기 위한 것이다.주차설비의 성능평가 문제는 제한된 공간안에서 어떻게 많은 차를 적재하느냐 하는 문제와 시간적으로 얼마나 빨리 입,출고 시킬 수 있느냐에 달려 있다. 따라서, 주차설비의 입,출고 시간을 최소로 하는 시간최적 앨고리즘을 고안한다. 이 제어장치와 시뮬레이터는 모두 인텔 8086 CPU로 실현한다.

  • 주차 관리원에 의한 주차요금 징수체계가 경영효율이 낮고 부조리의 발생요인이 높아 기계화설비의 도입에 의한 주차요금징수 자동화시스템으로의 변환이 요구되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 무선 단문 서비스(SMS ,Wireless Short Message Service)와 개인 휴대 정보 단말기(PDA : Personal Digital Assistant)를 이용하여 광역에 걸쳐 설치되어 있는 주차 관제용 기계화 설비를 원격으로 관리하며 최소의 주차 관리요원으로 넓은 주차시설의 효율적인 관리를 가능하게 하는 기계화설비에 대한 원격관리 시스템을 설계 및 구현하였다.
