The purpose of this study is to investigate the contents of open inquiry activities of the newly revised 2007 National curriculum for each grade level and to teach open inquiry activities and selection of rational inquiry activities. For this study, 470 elementary students in Seoul, ranging from 3rd to 6th grades were surveyed. The experiment plans written by students were analyzed based on the analysis criteria. These criteria consisted of the reason for the selection, type, and suitability of open inquiry activities. The reason for selecting open inquiry activities were analyzed according to the reason why they want to conduct the activity, degree of getting help and the object of getting help. The types of the open inquiry activities were analyzed according to the field of inquiry, the inquiry method and the period of inquiry. Suitability of the open inquiry activities were analyzed according to the reason of suitability or unsuitability.

This study reviews various kinds of records filing systems, which function as a basic fundamental to effective records management. The purposes, methods and characteristics of Alphabetic, geographic, numeric, subject, and combined filing systems are examined. The alphabetic filing method uses letters of the alphabet to determine the order of names of people and companies. In subject filing the subjects are filed in alphabetic order. In numeric filing, numbers representing names or subjects are used. When records are requested by place or location rather than by individual or business name, geographic filing is advantageous.

The study measured whether two search engines retrieve different Web documents for 6 queries. Two different search engines, Alta Vista in terms of keyword search engines and Yahoo in terms of subject directory engines were measured using as criteria, total number of documents retrieved, total number of relevant documents retrieved, recall and precision ratios. In addition, Alta Vista was suitable for specific and technical terms, while Yahoo was effective for general and plain terms. However, more elaborate research needs to be tested in terms of query characteristics.

본 논문은 군집 주제의 유의어와 유사도를 이용하여 문서군집의 성능을 향상시키는 방법을 제안한다. 제안된 방법은 비음수행렬분해의 의미특징을 이용하여 군집 주제(topic)의 용어들을 선택함으로서 문서 군집 집합의 내부구조를 잘 표현할 수 있으며, 군집 주제의 용어들에 워드넷의 유의어를 사용하여서 확장함으로써 문서를 용어집합(bag-of-words)으로 표현하는 문제를 해결할 수 있다. 또한 확장된 군집 주제의 용어와 문서집합에 코사인 유사도를 이용하여서 군집의 주제에 적합한 문서를 잘 군집하여서 성능을 높일 수 있다. 실험결과 제안방법을 적용한 문서군집방법이 다른 문서군집 방법에 비하여 좋은 성능을 보인다.

이 연구는 계층적 분류체계를 기반으로 자동분류를 수행할 HiCat 알고리즘을 제안한다. HiCat 알고리즘은 DDC 지식베이스의 주제어와 기계학습을 거친 정보를 동시에 이용하고, 각 계층별로 주제적합성가중치를 구해 최종 주제범주를 결정한다. 이 알고리즘이 최적의 성능을 보이는 조건을 알아보고, 일반 분류기와의 성능 비교를 통해 HiCat 알고리즘을 평가해 보았다.

Although university libraries run by the subject-oriented serviec systems are increasing more and more, many problems are emerging as a result of tying out the subject classification of the sources without an enough advance knowledge, consideration of reality, and the study about effective management of subject-oriented sum system. Through the research of 37 university libraries run by the system of subject-oriented service, it was proved that for the effective subject-oriented service system, the reasonable classification of the subjects, considering the form and structure of the building, the number of users on each subject and the organization of the collection, and the subject librarians, who would take charge of subject-oriented service systems are indispensable. Therefore, the subject-oriented service system to be rooted strongly, the role model of the subject-oriented service system adequate to the reality of Korean university libraries should be developed, and the efforts of the people on the spot such as acquiring enough supports and training of the subject librarians should be arranged.

추천은 다양한 컨텐츠 중에서 사용자가 원하는 것을 선택할 수 있도록 돕는 것이다. 이러한 추천은 광고주가 자신의 광고에 적절한 컨텐츠를 찾을 때에도 활용될 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 광고를 표현하는 태그와 영화를 나타내는 주제어들을 매칭하여 광고에 적합한 영화를 추천하는 문제를 다룬다. 이 문제의 경우, 광고를 표현하는 태그의 개수가 적고, 영화의 주제어와 성격이 다른 경우가 많아 단순 매칭을 활용한 추천 기법으로는 결과를 얻을 수 없는 경우도 존재한다. 우리는 이러한 문제를 완화하기 위해 키워드 확장을 통한 추천 기법을 제안한다. 구체적으로 각 영화 컨텐츠가 가진 주제어를 위키피디아를 통해 검색하고 이를 통해 주제어를 확장한다. 광고의 태그 또한 위키피디아 검색을 통해 확장한다. 이렇게 확장된 영화 주제어와 광고 태그를 연관성 규칙에 기반하여 매칭한다. 실험 결과 단순 매칭보다 제안한 확장을 통한 매칭이 37.5%의 성능 향상을 보였다.

Among university librarians and academic community in Korea, there has been constant debate on the need for subject librarianship and the restructuring of educational programs. The debate has not resulted in substantive change so far. Recently, as several university libraries have begun to implement subject librarian service, there is a growing need to reeducate practicing librarians for such service. Recognizing that the liaison service model best fits the reality of academic libraries, this article proposes curriculum development goals and strategies, and specific course listings for the training of subject liaison librarians. We also suggest specific conditions requisite for such education programs fully develop in the future.

본 논문에서는 기존의 키워드 검색 시스템의 불편함과 비효율성을 지적하고 이를 극복하기 위해 한국어 의문문 자체를 질의어로 채택하여 정보를 검색하는 자연어 기반의 정보검색 시스템을 제안하였다. 본 시스템은 주격 주제어와 서술격 주제어는 물론 의문의 초점과 초점 관련 어구에 대해서도 질의어 분석단계에서 분석하여 검색자의 요구에 부응하는 응답문 검색이 가능하도록 설계하였다. 본 논문에서는 의문문 질의 시스템에 적합하도록 의문사를 5형태로 분류하고 실제 한국어 문장에서 이들 각각에 대한 처리를 규칙화시켜 질의어의 체계적인 분석을 시도하였다. 한편, 후보 문장 검색을 위한 색인어로 사용되는 주격 주제어와 서술격 주제어를 정해진 규칙을 통해 추출함으로써 체계적이고 정확도 높은 질의어 분석이 이루어지도록 했다. 뿐만 아니라 의문의 초점과 초점 관련 어구또한 정해진 규칙을 통해 분석 추출함으로써 응답문 검색의 정확성을 높였다.
