The purpose of this study is to investigate the characteristics of the spatial composition at the Modern Korean houses after the time of the enlightenment in Daegu province. The orientation of the houses, way of the entrance and its relation to the inner house(An-Chae), the type of floor plan, the compositional methods of exterior space, and the usage of exterior space are investigated. As the results, the Modern Korean houses after the time of the enlightenment in Daegu province are showed the symptom of the modernization in aspect of the site plan and the compositional methods of exterior space.

The purpose of this study is to find out the spatial arrangement of the administrative district of Seoung-Ju Eup around the 19th century by analyzing a map called Seoung-ju eupgido, made in the late Chosun period. The study analyses the significant elements consisting of the spatial arrangement such as geographical considerations, the street system, and the location of mainfacilities for this purpose. The significance of this study is in that the study uses a contemporary map showing the actual spatial arrangement in the period, instead of using any historical records or written documents that have been mainly used for the same purpose by most researcher so far.

The purpose of this study is to find Korean tradition of residential space which continues since 1960s. Analysis of house works of contemporary architects on the foundation spatial characteristics of Korean. Traditional residence show that the trend and methods of embodiment of tradition in present architecture. The result of analysis could be summarized as follows. First, most of contemporary architects separate a house into two Chae-An Chae and Sa Rang Chae. Second, spatial flows in contemporary house works are very active through transition spaces just as traditional residence. Third, positive An Ma Dang takes on introversion, extroversion and continuity of space and also plays an important role in a house.

The Apartment resident's make-up of a family and residing preference are diversified by the change of lifestyle through the elevation of economy level and residing level. Accordingly, the remodeling and the early rebuilding for the satisfaction of a life cycle and a life style are increasing, and "Variability" that is the concept of Open Housing was emphasized as a central of residing plan in the apartment. Although apartments which select the space variability to the residing space are increasing gradually, the optimum composition structural system with space variability that satisfies the structure stability, the economical efficiency and the resident usability is not developed. The method of a study was progressed by a comparison and an analysis on each system with estimation elements through analyzing the development process and the special quality of existing composition structural system with space variability in the apartment. This paper offered the improvement direction on the current composition structural system with space variability for the development of modularizing system that is correct in domestic real condition.

The essence of architecture is space acquired as a result of architect's design act, but the object of the design is not the space and it is the physical elements to construct it. The masters of modern architecture have described the types of spaces that can be composed of these elements, but there is a difficulty in constructing the space because they does not mention how to construct it. From this point of view, if architecture is the techniques for human behavior and the art of building space, it is recognized that there is a need for concrete research on how to construct a space with ambiguous substance. Therefore, I conducted research on the extensibility of diagonal spaces through '4 Logements Studio' by Henri Ciriani, a representative architect of Neo Corbusian. The 'network for identity' method proposed by Ciriani was examined as a methode to realize spatial expansion and the furniture should be designed as an element of reading space and 3 optimal alternatives for 4 housing arrangements were obtained based on the Equivalence, Lighting, View, and Community life.

본 연구는 도시토지이용의 적합성분석을 실시하는 데 있어 GSIS와 인공신경망의 유기적인 결합을 시도해 보았다. 인공신경망은 학습이라는 과정을 통해 신경망 노드(node)간의 연결강도를 합리적으로 결정할 수 있는 이점이 있다. 이러한 점에서 공간분석에서 요구되는 인자간의 경중률과 신경망의 연결강도는 대체가 가능하리라 판단된다. 본 연구를 수행하기 위해 두 종류의 신경망을 구성하였다. 1차 신경망은 토지이용별 적합성 분석에 적용했으며, 2차 신경망은 최적의 토지이용패턴을 분석하기 위해 구성하였다. 이들 신경망은 C++로 작성된 프로그램에 의해 구현된 최급강하법에 의한 역전파 알고리즘에 의해 학습을 실시하였으며, 활성화 함수는 시그모이드 함수를 사용하였다. 분석결과는 현행 용도지역제에서 주거, 상업, 공업, 녹지에 대한 토지이용 적합도면과 4가지 유형의 토지이용에 대한 대상지역의 최적토지이용패턴을 제시한 도면으로서 Arc/Info의 Grid 형식으로 작성하였다. 또한 토지이용별 적합도면상에 나타난 적합지역과 최적토지이용패턴은 위치적인 면과 공간 구성에 있어 실제의 도시토지이용계획의 이론적인 개념에 매우 합치되는 분포형태를 보였다.

The aim of this study is to understand the composition of plan and the changing aspect of Louis I. Kahn's residential architecture, Louis I. Kahn's spacial composition is characterized by traditional motives and Ecole des Beaux Art which had influenced him. His constituent factors in geometrical form are classified into the propositional system, the cellular multiplication of a special unit, the Poche Space and others. According to the results of this study obtained from above mentioned subjects, it can be concluded that geometrical factors, which constitute space of plan, are totally expressed as a system of order which unites particular ones into whole one.

Recently, the proportion of single-person households is on the increase in Korea, expected to reach 34.6% in 2035. Among the single-person households, Young single family households are facing greater difficulties due to high house prices in Korea. The government is expanding its support to Young single family, executing various policies such as public lease housings, private lease housings for youth, youth dormitory, etc. The purpose of this study is to understand the exact housing requirement of Young single family households who have different lifestyles with other age groups and provide base line data for youth house planning which will be in use later on. Study methods are shown below. First, this research studied the status and characteristics of Young single family households by looking into literature. Second, by studying previous studies concerned with life style and housing preferences of youth, the tool for investigating preferences and needs of housing environment by Young single family households was composed. Third, survey on characterstics of space usage, preferences and needs on flat composition, and preferences of interior design were conducted based on lifestyle of Young single family-households. The survey was conducted as an online survey using SNS for 150 Young single family holds from the age of 20 and 39, including students and office workers from December 2018 to January 2019. The results are as following. (1) Looking into the space usage characteristics, considering that various activities other than basic functions take place in bedroom and living room of small-sized Young single family households, we need to consider this additionally when planning the housing. (2) Looking into the preferences and composite needs of flat composition, the subjects demand separate bed room and more living room space, and also demand expansion of living room space where various activities take place and additional storage such as dress room in bed room (3) The preferences toward interior design show preferences toward modern style and achromatic color, a representative color. The subjects also prefer floor finishing materials normally used for living spaces, and indirect, soft lighting that uses wall. Also, there are differences between interior design preferences between students (20's) and office workers(30's) due to their different lifestyles. Research is needed to propose practical residential environment requirements and plans through a case study of actual public rental housing and a wider range of users.
