A Method of Robust Stabilization of the Plants Using DNP (DNP을 이용한 플랜트의 강인 안정화 기법)

  • In this paper, to bring under robust and accurate control of auto-equipment systems which disturbance, parameter alteration of system, uncertainty and so forth exist, neural network controller called dynamic neural processor(DNP) is designed In order to perform a elaborate task like as assembly, manufacturing and so forth of components, tracking control on the trajectory of power coming in contact with a target as well as tracking control on the movement course trajectory of end-effector is indispensable. Also, the learning architecture to compute inverse kinematic coordinates transformations in the Plants of auto-equipment systems is developed and the example that DNP can be used is explained. The architecture and learning algorithm of the proposed dynamic neural network, the DNP, are described and computer simulations are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed learning method using the DNP.

A Non-Hydrostatic Pressure Model and its Implementation of the Dynamic Boundary Condition (동수압 모형의 동역학적 경계조건)

  • In this paper, a three-dimensional non-hydrostatic pressure model for free surface flows using a normalized vertical coordinate system is presented. To strongly couple the free surface and non-hydrostatic pressure in the momentum equations, a double predictor-corrector method is employed. This research is especially focused on implementing the dynamic boundary condition (a zero pressure condition) at the free surface. This boundary condition can be specified accurately with a small modification to existing models. Numerical results with and without this modification clearly show that a precise implementation of the dynamic boundary condition is paramountly important.

Determining the Size of a Hankel Matrix in Subspace System Identification for Estimating the Stiffness Matrix and Flexural Rigidities of a Shear Building (전단빌딩의 강성행렬 및 부재의 강성추정을 위한 부분공간 시스템 확인기법에서의 행켈행렬의 크기 결정)

  • This paper presents a subspace system identification for estimating the stiffness matrix and flexural rigidities of a shear building. System matrices are estimated by LQ decomposition and singular value decomposition from an input-output Hankel matrix. The estimated system matrices are converted into a real coordinate through similarity transformation, and the stiffness matrix is estimated from the system matrices. The accuracy and the stability of an estimated stiffness matrix depend on the size of the associated Hankel matrix. The estimation error curve of the stiffness matrix is obtained with respect to the size of a Hankel matrix using a prior finite element model of a shear building. The sizes of the Hankel matrix, which are consistent with a target accuracy level, are chosen through this curve. Among these candidate sizes of the Hankel matrix, more proper one can be determined considering the computational cost of subspace identification. The stiffness matrix and flexural rigidities are estimated using the Hankel matrix with the candidate sizes. The validity of the proposed method is demonstrated through the numerical example of a five-story shear building model with and without damage.

Motion Sensor Data Normalization Algorithm for Pedestrian Pattern Detection (보행 패턴 검출을 위한 동작센서 데이터 정규화 알고리즘)

  • In this paper, three axial accelerometer was used to develop a small sensor module, which was attached to human body to calculate the acceleration in gravity direction by human motion, when it was positioned in any direction. To measure its wearer's walking or running motion using the sensor module, the acquired sensor data was pre-processed to enable its quantitative analysis. The acquired digital data was transformed to orthogonal coordinate value in three dimension and calculated to be single scalar acceleration data in gravity direction and normalized to be physical unit value. The normalized sensor data was used to detect walking pattern and calculate their step counts. Developed algorithm was implemented in the form of PDA application. The accuracy of the developed sensor to detect step count was about 97% in laboratory experiment.

  • In this paper, the image formation by the motion compensation technique for Synthetic Aperture Radar system(SAR) were realized through the computer simulation. The motion compensation technique performed image data with the range compression, the compensation procedure, the azimuth compensation and the noise elimination procedure. The range compression procedure transform the SAR raw data into the frequency domain and correlate with the range reference function and then inversely transform into the time domain. The compensation procedure contain the aircraft fluctuations compensation and the radar image degrading effect elimination procedure which was caused by image formation algorithm itself. The aircraft fluctuations compensation procedure perform the first stage which correct the phase angle and the second stage which calculate the Doppler frequency and determine the coordinate of the received signal. The radar image degrading effect elimination procedure also perform range migration compensation and the image defocussing effect compensation. The azimuth compression procedure transform the compensation data to the frequency domain and correlate with the azimuth reference function. The azimuth correlated data are inversely transformed to the time domain which is called SAR image data. When the above procedure were completed, the image data contains the received signals mixed with noise. The threshold technique was applied to elimination the noise from the mixed image data.

  • This paper describes the development procedure of GUI Program for the automated generation of airfoil performance table used in helicopter comprehensive code. Considering commercialization, the program is developed based on the Windows operating system. In addition, it is aimed to enhance user's convenience by including embedded postprocessor which enables real-time display of calculation procedure and grid system. Using the validated CFD code, the aerodynamic analyses are automated for a given range of Mach number and angles of attack. The computational grid system is designed to generate automatically once the surface coordinates are given. Mixed-Language scheme is employed in order to combine the CFD code in Fortran with C++ based GUI program, which makes the time-consuming code conversion unnecessary.

  • The instantaneous power theory have been considered as efficient theory in recent years, because it is easier to understand numerical representation and more soft to control PWM power converter on $\alpha$-$\beta$ stationary reference frame. From the forgoing theory, with regard to the calculating process of compensating reference current, there are many induced components of current/ power, and these components have consequently influence on physical interpretation of instantaneous power theory. Especially, beginners for studing the instantaneous power theory don't have enough informations for standard waveform of induced $\alpha$-$\beta$ components. Therefore, this paper describes simulation works using MATLAB/SIMULINK for $\alpha$-$\beta$ space trajectories and waveforms of $\alpha$-$\beta$ current and power components, induced from the instantaneous power theory. It is respected that the results in this paper are serviceable as basic information to assist beginner for studing the instantaneous power theory.

  • Research that establish new cadastral survey model that use GPS to introduce GPS observation technique in cadastral survey and research that develop connection technologies are now abuzz. The purpose of this research is to keep in step in such trend and grasp present condition and performance of surveying connection to common use GPS data processing software, and analyze data processing algorithm, and develop suitable GPS data processing software in our real condition regarding GPS data processing and result of control point calculation. This research studies analysis common use software and error occurrence by data processing method that college and company have. Also, It analyzes algorithm that is applied to existing GPS data processing software. After that we study algorithm that is most suitable with cadastral survey and then develop cadastral survey calculation software for new cadastral control points.

  • 기존의 Terzaghi 압밀이론은 상대적으로 연약토층이 두껍지 않고, 초기함수비가 낮으며 적은 유효응력의 증가가 예상되는 곳에 그 적용이 제한되어 있었다. 그 이유는 Therzaghi 압미이론 자체가 미소변형률과 선형적인 압축성 및 투수성등을 기본적인 가정사항으로 내포하고 있기 때문이다. 이러한 가정사항을 극복하고자 Gibson et al. 은 일차원 비선형 유한 변형률 압밀이론에 관한 엄밀해를 제시하였다. 이 이론은 기존의 많은 가정사항들을 극복하여 실제 현상에 더욱 부합하는 예측을 할 수 있는 장점이 있는 반면, 비선형적인 응력-변형 관계, 변형-투수계수 관계의 도입과 좌표변환 및 현장의 시고이력을 그대로 적용하는데 많은 어려움이 있는 것이 사실이다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 비선형 유한형태를 압밀이론을 이용한 압밀현상 예측을 위하여, 비선형적인 응력-변형 관계, 변형-투수계수 관계에 관한 함수식을 구성하고 이를 포함하는 컴퓨터 프로그램을 개발하였다. 개발 프로그램은 많은 폼과 모듈로 구성되어 있는데, 이러한 각각의 폼과 모듈은 GUI 기능의 극대화를 통해 복잡한 이론에 익숙하지 않은 실무자들이 쉽게 본 이론을 이용할 수 있도록 설계 되었다. 또한 개발프로그램은 다양한 하중단계 및 비선형적인 응력-변형 관계, 변형-투수계수 관계에 관한 회귀분석, 각 유효응력 단계별 상이한 비선형 계수 g와 λ를 적용할 수 있으며, 계산을 위한 전처리과정은 물론 계산된 결과를 위한 다양한 후처리과정이 모두 사용자 위주의 GUI 기능을 충분히 갖도록 설계되었다. 개발 프로그램의 검증을 위하여 실제 현장의 계측자료 및 기존 연구문헌상의 결과와 본 개발 프로그램의 예측결과를 비교.분석하였으며, 다양한 간극비 상태의 비선형 계수가 해석결과에 미치는 영향을 알아보았다.

Image Retrieval based on Color-Spatial Features using Quadtree and Texture Information Extracted from Object MBR (Quadtree를 사용한 색상-공간 특징과 객체 MBR의 질감 정보를 이용한 영상 검색)

  • In this paper, we present am image retrieval method based on color-spatial features using quadtree and texture information extracted from object MBRs in an image. Tile proposed method consists of creating a DC image from an original image, changing a color coordinate system, and decomposing regions using quadtree. As such, conditions are present to decompose the DC image, then the system extracts representative colors from each region. And, image segmentation is used to search for object MBRs, including object themselves, object included in the background, or certain background region, then the wavelet coefficients are calculated to provide texture information. Experiments were conducted using the proposed similarity method based on color-spatial and texture features. Our method was able to refute the amount of feature vector storage by about 53%, but was similar to the original image as regards precision and recall. Furthermore, to make up for the deficiency in using only color-spatial features, texture information was added and the results showed images that included objects from the query images.
