Activation plans for e-logistics of information era (정보화시대의 e-물류 효율화방안)

  • This study is to understand basic knowledge on e-logistics through the analysis of third party logistics(3PL) as well as fourth party logistics(4PL) and to suggest some activation plans of e-logistics of information era to get competition in the field of international logistics. Compared with advanced countries, Korean companies has not activated 3PL logistics as Korean companies are not inclined to open their business information to others and they didn't recognize the importance of logistics. As the business environments are worsening little by little, there has been greater concerns for e-logistics as a way of focusing on the core-business. Most of Korean companies has outsourced simple and limited scope of 3PL and 4PL services with 1st level of logistics outsourcing. To activate e-logistics, Korean government and private enterprises have to pursue the following strategies. First, Korean government should change the present laws preventing the enterprises specialized in 3PL from doing business and should pursue logistics information and standardization. Also the government needs to support 3PL companies. Second, private companies do their best to retain and develope factors of logistics resources professional and to develope the latest technology. 3PL providers have pursue effective logistics strategies and to invest capitals for the information technology.

  • 본 논문에서는 경유가격에 의한 시장왜곡의 한 측면으로서 우리나라 기업의 물류 투자가 상대적으로 낮게 이루어지고 있음을 지적하고자 한다. 낮은 경유가격으로 상품의 원가는 당분간 낮게 유지될 수 있었을지 모르나 결국 물류투자의 수준을 낮추어 물류설비 수준을 적정이하로 만든 요인이 되며, 이는 다시 물류비용을 증가시키고 결국 원가상승(原價上昇) 요인으로 작용하여 국제경쟁력에 미치는 종합적 효과는 불분명하다고 할 수 있는 것이다. 이러한 문제점은 비단 경유가격에만 한정되는 것이 아니라 산업용 전력요금 등 여타의 경우에도 적용된다. 산업의 경쟁력과 물가안정을 위해서 특정재화의 가격을 낮게 유지하는 것은 결국 가격구조를 왜곡하게 되고 다른 부수적인 문제점을 수반하게 되어 적정수준이 아닌 자원배분(資源配分)을 일으키게 된다. 따라서 산업정책(産業政策)의 일환으로 추진되어온 경유에 대한 가격규제는 보다 합리적인 자원배분(資源配分)을 위하고 장기적인 산업경쟁력(産業競爭力)을 고려하여 신중히 재검토되어야 할 것이다.

A Plan to Promote Jeonnam Region's Port Logistics through Establishment of a Logistics Network (물류네트워크 구축을 통한 전남권 항만물류 활성화 방안)

  • This paper outlines a plan to promote South Jeonnam region's logistics capability in connection with the regional logistics bases such as Gwangyang Port, Jangseong Integrated Freight Terminal, Mokpo Port and Muan International Airport. The capability of regional innovation bodies, and industrial innovation generally, needs to be improved by establishing a systematic regional innovation plan. Smaller import and export logistics bases, presently scattered in downtown Gwangju and its suburban area, need to be integrated as soon as possible, in advance of the completion of a traffic network connecting all of the triangle logistics bases. Moreover, plans to develop Muan International Airport to the status of a hub airport need to be established, and its function as an air freight terminal should be strengthened. Gwangyang Port and Mokpo Port should be developed as Korea's key harbors with international logistics bases the two ports, presently conducting simple cargo work, should be transformed into general logistics ports conducting logistics, assembling, trading, and international business by developing their surrounding areas.

e-SCM에서 AHP를 이용한 제3자 물류업체 선정 기준 평가에 관한 연구

  • 최근 물류환경의 변화로 제품의 신속한 수송과 고객 지향적 물류서비스 제공의 극대화를 꾀하려는 기업들은 제3자 물류의 활용에 커다란 관심을 가지게 되었다. 기업이 제3자 물류업체 활용을 통한 성과를 높이기 위해서는 고객서비스의 향상, 물류관련 비용의 절감 및 물류활동에 대한 운영효율의 향상을 수행할 수 있는 물류업체를 선정하는 것이 중요하다 할 것이다. 본 연구에서는 제3자 물류업체 선정과 관련한 주요 선행연구의 종합적인 고찰을 통하여, 제3자 물류업체 선정에 대한 평가기준들을 도출하였다. 선정을 위한 기준으로 비용, 물류서비스, 업체평가, 정보시스템의 4가지 항목으로 나누었고, 이를 계층화하여 AHP기법을 통하여 분석하였다. 그 결과 상위기준의 상대적 중요도는 물류서비스가 0.425로 가장 높게 나타났고, 비용(0.232), 정보시스템(0.224), 업체평가(0.120) 순으로 나타났다. 비용의 항목에 포함되어 있는 하위기준의 중요도는 경제성이 0.710, 안정성이 0.290으로 나타났다. 물류서비스 항목에 포함되어 있는 하위기준의 중요도는 신뢰성이 0.780, 유연성이 0.220로 나타났다. 업체평가 항목에 포함되어 있는 하위기준의 중요도는 기업역량이 0.507, 관계지향성이 0.493로 나타났다. 정보시스템 항목에 포함되어있는 하위기준의 중요도는 정보인프라가 0.471, 정보활용도는 0.529로 나타났다. 분석에 있어 추가적으로 학계와 실무계 전문가 집단으로 나누어 그 중요도를 산출하였는데, 학계 전문가 집단과 실무계 전문가 집단 모두 상위기준에 있어 물류서비스가 가장 높게 나타났다. 주목할만한 점은 학계 전문가 집단의 경우 정보시스템이 비용보다 더 높게 나타난 반면에, 실무계 전문가 집단은 비용이 정보시스템 보다 더 높게 나타났다는 것이다.

  • This paper reviews the current local logistics policy of the Incheon Metropolitan City and prioritizes policy agenda based on fuzzy AHP and IPA (Importance Performance Analysis). The analysis recommends that the city needs to keep up the current good works at the policy agenda such as early expansion of the international logistics hub and improvement of the provincial highway network.The policy agenda including the logistics parks, the transport networks and the hinterland activities are evaluated as overkilled agenda. Revitalization of the logistics database, establishment of an integrated business support center, modal shift, and public logistics support were classified as low-priority policy agenda. The policy agenda of urgent concentration includes development of new logistics business and air cargo industry.

  • This primary purpose of this study is to suggest alternatives for raising the Korea Post as a global logistics firm using a case study. The following alternatives for raising the Korea Post as a global logistics are suggested. First, as a first stage, in addition to previously established business scope such as saving, mail, insurance, logistics business unit have to be added. Second, as a second stage, warehousing and multimodal transport logistics have to be strengthened through M&A or self-financing and investment. Third, as a third stage, market coverage and service scope is to be expanded to country having larger logistics market size. Finally, as a fourth stage, global-oriented total logistics service is to be provided.

A Comparative Analysis of Logistics Policy and Corporate Strategy for China in Korea and Japan (한국과 일본의 대(對)중국 물류정책 및 기업전략 비교분석)

  • This paper compared the cases of Korea and Japan on the basis of three research goals as follows. Above all, this paper tries to illuminate differences in logistics policies for China in Korea and Japan at governmental levels after understanding their distinct features. Then, after investigating investments of Korean and Japanese firms in China and their specific cases at corporate levels, this paper tries to illuminate similarities and differences of corporate strategies in Korean and Japanese logistics firms. Finally, this paper attempts to derive implications for Korean governments and firms through the comparative study. Main results of this study are as follows. First, even though logistics policies of Korean and Japanese government are similar in admitting the significance of China, Japanese policies are broader by admitting the significance of cooperating with ASEAN nations. Second, Japanese firms provide more diverse entire logistics services and also retained wider logistics networks than Korean counterparts in Chinese logistics markets. Thus, Korean logistics firms need to pursue to establish strategic cooperation with other foreign firms in China.

  • The purpose of this paper is to systemize the spatial studies of logistics industry by arranging the partially scattered current studies on spatial studies of logistics industry overall. Logistics industry now builds a complex spatial organization which has been developed to the stages of independent optimization by materials management and physical distribution providing specialized logistics services, logistics, and supply chain management including IT and management step by step. The complex spatial organization of logistics industry has been systematized with geographical space and virtual space, disintegration and integration, and intermediation and disintermediation. The three areas reported a dynamic characteristic overlapped in space. The dynamic characteristic has a dose relationship with interaction between IT and space of economic activities.
