This paper explores the use of Korean wrapping cloths (bojagi) in the late Joseon period and the types of decorations applied to them. Korean wrapping cloths called bojagi are pieces of cloths used by households of all social classes for practical purposes such as wrapping presents and covering food. In addition to the basic purposes, the making of bojagi was also an activity to express the down-to-earth wishes and the satisfaction of creation by the designer. With regard to the decorative feature of Korean wrapping cloths, five types of, patchwork, embroidered, painted, printed, and oiled-paper wrapping cloths, were examined. The patchwork wrapping cloths (jogakbo) show the frugality of Joseon women in addition to the well-developed composition skill of lines and colors. The embroidered wrapping cloths were prepared for special rituals and ceremonies such as weddings. Painted wrapping cloths were decorated with a Chinese-colors technique (called dangchae) or sometimes with black ink painting. For printed wrapping cloths, various sizes of woodblock printings and roller printings were used. Although monotone black ink was the main color applied to the printing, there was also wrapping cloths made from chintz having brilliant fast colors. Oiled-paper wrapping cloths called sikjibo were in use only for covering food. Cut-out work was employed to decorate it.

It is difficult to treat wastewater involved in heavy metal in electroplating industry. Recently, many industries adopt the clean technology to prevent production of pollutant in the process or reuse after the appropriate pollutant treatment. In this study, we estimate the ability of recovery of nickel and the efficiency using lab-scale ion exchange and electrodialysis process with electroplating industry wastewater. In the ion exchange experiments with 5 types of resin, the result showed that S 1467(gel-type strong acidic cation exchange resin) has the highest exchange capacity. And it showed that the 4 N HCl has the highest in regeneration efficiency and maximum concentration in the regeneration experiments with various kinds md concentration of the regenerant. During the electrodialysis experiments, we varied the current density, the concentration of electrode rinse solution, the flow rate of concentrate and electrode rinse solution in order to find the optimum operating condition. As a result, we obtained $250A/m^2$ of current density, 2 N $H_2SO_4$ of concentration of electrode rinse solution, 30 mL/min of flow rate of concentrate and electrode rinse solution as the best operating conditions. We performed the scale-up experiments on the basis of ion exchange and electrodialysis experiments. And we obtained the experimental result that exchange capacity of S 1467 was 1.88 eq/L resin, and regeneration efficiency was 93.7% in the ion exchange scale-up experiment, we also got the result that concentration and dilution efficiency increased, and current efficiency kept constant in the scale-up experiments.

To understand the application in farm for the fish aquaculture, we investigated biological and pathological traits on red sea bream Pagrus major which were reared in each copper-alloy net cage and the synthetic fiber net cage for 9 months. Two groups of cage were made and set in Yokji-eup, Tongyoung, Gyeongsangnam-do in size of 25 m in diameter and 10 m of depth. Survival rate of the red sea bream in the rearing copper-alloy net cage and synthetic fiber cage showed 99.75% and 99.70% respectively, there was no significant difference. Daily weight growth rate in each net was shown to 2.13 g/day and 1.65 g/day. Health analysis by blood composition analysis showed a favorable result in the copper-alloy net cage rather than in the synthetic fiber net. Bioaccumulation of heavy metal such as Cu and Zn especially in gonad was higher than other organ. Bioaccumulation of Cu and Zn in the muscle was lower compared to the permitted standard for food safety. Pathogenic infection test discovered Microcotyle tai for parasite, V. alginolyticus and other five species for bacteria. But there was a little bit difference of bacteria infection in copper-alloy net cage and copper-alloy net cage is expected to be has antibacterial effect. Thus, copper-alloy net cage can be applied to farm considering its system stability, recycling, antibiosis and food safety.
Fly ash produced in coal combustion is a fine-grained material consisting mostly of spherical, glassy, and porous particles. A physical, morphological, and chemical characteristic of fly ash has been analyzed. This study may contribute to the data base of domestic fly ash, the improvement of combustion efficiency, ash recycling and ash collection in the electrostatic precipitator. The physical property of fly ash is determined using a particle counter for the measurement of ash size distribution and gravimeter. Morphological characteristic of fly ash is performed using a scanning electron micrograph and an optical microscope. The chemical components of fly ash are determined using an inductively coupled plasma emission spectrometry (ICP). The distribution of fly ash size was ranged from 15 to 25 $\mu$m in mass median diameter. Exposure conditions of flue gas temperature and duration within the combustion zone of the boiler played an important role on the morphological properties of the fly ash such as shape, relative opacity, coloration, cenosphere and plerosphere. The spherical fly ash might be generated at the condition of complete combustion. The size of fly ash was found to be increased the with particle-particle interaction of agglomeration and coagulation. Fly ash consisted of $SiO_2\;Al_2O_3\;and\;Fe_2O_3$ with 85% and carbon with 3~10% of total mass.

This study aims to provide preliminary data needed for establishing policies on the environment and disasters of Goryeong county. The main results are as follows. First, the present master plan of the region does not reflect local socio-economic and environmental conditions and the local people's opinion. Second, The air conditions of Gyeongbuk province and Goryeong county are within the permitted limit of air pollution of Korea. Third, the analysis of water pollution index in Nakdong river system shows improvement of water quality in both Andong and Goryeong. Fourth, the conditions of waste collection and disposal are improved in both Gyeongbuk province and Goryeong county. Fifth, in case of environmental pollutant emitting facilities of Gyeongbuk province, the proportion of 1st to 4th grade(relatively much more environmental pollutant emitting quantity than 5th grade) tends to be increasing. Sixth, environmental pollutant emitting facilities of Goryeong county are remarkably increasing in Dasan, Gaegin, Ssangrim, involving industrial complex. Finally, in case of disasters, it is relatively stable in Yecheon, Gumi, Uiseong, Yeongju and Cheongdo, while relatively unstable in Seongju, Gunwi, Yeongcheon, Chilgok, Mungyeong, Bonghwa and Goryeong.

The development of the oil refining industry has resulted in an annual 120 million tons of sulphur, which is a by-product of the desulphurization process. To exploit this abundance, the applications of sulphur must be expanded. as excellent durability of reuse of leftover sulphur which has high potential for utilization in construction materials, the study is actively in progress. Meanwhile, there has been active research on semi-rigid pavements that draw on the strengths and overcome the weaknesses of asphalt and concrete pavements. Acrylate is used to prevent cracking but involves a high cost, thus, an alternative material is required. As such, this study presents methods on the reuse of leftover sulphur and examines the engineering performance of grout containing sulfur polymer emulsion (SPE) for use in semi-rigid pavements. Our analysis shows that grout in which 30% of acrylate is replaced with SPE has superior properties in terms of time of flow and strength compared to regular grout. However, performance declined when more than 50% of acrylate was replaced by SPE, indicating that the optimum replacement level is 30%. Through SEM analysis, we found that grout with utra harding cement in this study at three hours had similar hydration properties to that of Type 1 Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC) at seven days, and maintained the properties regardless of grout containing SPE. OPC and grout with a replacement level of 30% displayed similar levels of chloride invasion resistance, whereas grout without SPE was far less resistant. Within the scope of this paper, the optimum replacement level of acrylate with SPE was found to be 30% in consideration of various properties such as time of flow, strength, and chloride invasion resistance.
About 10% of trees damaged by the development projects are to be transplanted when conducting the Environmental Impact Assessment. However, various problems have been raised during transplantation. In this study, we confirm the stakeholder's perceptions of the problems that occur during transplantation. The survey was conducted from October 9 to 25, 2020. Among the stakeholder groups, 36 respondents participated in the consulting institute group, 44 from the review institute group, and 83 from the developer·agency group (total of 163). All three groups responded that it was necessary to transplant some of the damaged trees even if the development charge increased because the damage caused by the development project was serious. The most serious problem was 'high mortality'. The response rate was high that all three groups should plant the same species with the same quantity as an alternative method in case of withering. In order to reduce the mortality rate, small-sized trees were transplanted and transplanted trees were expanded to include planted species and landscape trees. In addition, the number of transplanted trees was high in response to calculating the transplantratio to the number of native tree damaged. The percentage of respondents who said that it was necessary to allocate a separate manager was also high. The results will be used as basic data to improve problems that occur during transplantation of damaged trees.
This study examined the record destruction problem systematically implemented by the Japanese colonial rule during the wartime period, centering on the persistence of the remaining records of Government-General of Chosen. It became clearer to recognize the historical probabilities that the decisions made by the Japanese cabinet were carried out on official documents in the same way throughout the empire, including mainland Japan and colonies. It was also confirmed that a system for disposing of records, such as reduction and organization of public documents, and recycling of paper resources, has already been established against the backdrop of the situation where the war spread and the war situation worsened after the late 1930s. In addition, it was attempted to extract the types and characteristics of documents discarded by the Japanese colonial rule through a review of the regulations on handling secret documents of the Government-General of Chosen and the regulations on the police department. At the same time, it was found that various chiefs (subsidiaries) that could know the status of documents to be retained or the status of preservation according to the governmental regulations revealed that there was no single book, and this was directly related to the massive destruction of official documents by the Joseon Governor-General immediately after defeat.

Since sustainable packaging of flower basket designs that are sold from florist shops is needed for both the seller and the buyer, studying of second packaging of flower basket design has begun. In this study, based on the survey that has been done in 2019, and the analysis of the interview that has been done in 2020, the suggestion of sustainable packaging development is the purpose. The definition of flower basket design was done and surveys of the status of domestic flower basket designs' second packaging were done in accordance with the type of basket which is an object, transportation, and characteristic of a florist shop. For sustainable packaging, based on physical theory, second packaging which depends on the packaging that includes design factor, transportation final destination has to be different. The factors to be considered as sustainable packaging are the quality of opaque paper, the necessity of first packaging, packaging structure that can fix an object, the form of second packaging influenced by types of transportation. Suggestions for packaging development included new materials for first packaging, eco-friendly objects that can be recycled and reused, structural packaging design, standardization and variability of packaging, protection of floristry which is the fundamental purpose of packaging, and brand advertisement effect. Based on the result of this study further designs of packaging will be commercialized. This study is significant for serving the opportunity of new packaging design for futuristic floristry that fit for unmanned system and studying of categories of products.

Globally, the amount of waste plastics has been occurring to environmental problems. As a result, it is necessary to research methods that utilize waste plastic pyrolysis oil (WPPO) produced by pyrolysis. One such method being studied is utilizing WPPO as a naphtha feedstock. In this study, five types of WPPO were analyzed to determine whether they can be used as raw materials for naphtha. Because of their wide boiling point range, the WPPOs were fractionated into light and heavy fractions through vacuum distillation, and the separation and purification techniques were analyzed using GC-VUV to determine the content of paraffin, olefin, and other compounds. All WPPOs showed high olefin content regardless of the source and fraction. Aromatic and paraffin content varied depending on the source, and oxygen and other compounds also varied significantly by source and fraction. In addition, the light fraction showed a carbon distribution similar to that of naphtha, whereas the heavy fraction showed a carbon distribution of C11 ~ C14. In conclusion, additional processes and raw material selection are required to utilize waste plastic pyrolysis oil as a raw material for naphtha.
