In head sea, a ship has mainly the longitudinal motion such as vertical acceleration and pitch. In that case, the motion characteristics of a ship will have changed as the location different from each of place vertically and horizontally on board. The author carried out an experiment about the ship's vertical acceleration and pitch according to the location for the head sea, and analyzed the data with the aid of the statistical and spectral analyzing method to get the motion characteristics of the vessels. The response of vertical acceleration and pitch not deeply depend on the decks vertically, but displayed the relative big different value horizontally even if same deck. The biggest response of vertical acceleration and pitch among the accommodations was shown at scientist room, but the value of it not reached to the minimum requirement of ISO 2631-1 for working on board.

홍경천은 일반적으로 해발 2500~4500m에 자생하는 고원식물이다. 현재 중국에 알려진 홍경천의 종류는 대략 38종으로 알려져 있으며 이 가운데 10종이 보건식품으로 사용되어지고 있다. 중국 홍경천의 생육환경은 동북부지방, 서북부지방, 서남부지방으로 구분되어지고 있다. 이 가운데 동북부지방과 티베트 지방을 중심으로 한 서남부지방의 홍경천이 주로 많이 사용되어지고 있다. 이러한 홍경천은 극한의 생육환경으로 고산병 예방, 피로회복, 작업능력향상, 운동능력향상과 세균의 저항력향상, 진정작용과 강심작용, 조혈작용, 항산화작용등이 신경전달물질의 활동을 증진시키어서 스트레스 해소와 치매 및 인지력을 높여준다고 알려져 있다. 따라서 근무 능력을 향상 시킬 뿐만 아니라 수험생들의 집중력에도 좋은 효과를 나타내는걸로 보고되고 있다. 따라서 본 실험에서는 홍경천의 총 폴리페놀 함량과 항산화 활성을 조사했던 바, 홍경천의 잎과 뿌리에서 양호한 결과를 나타내었으며, 특히 항산화 작용은 뿌리와 잎 추출물에서 양호한 반응을 보였다. 또한 에탄올 추출물 보다 메탄올 추출물 처리구에서 더욱 더 양호한 항산화 활성을 나타났다. 이러한 결과들을 바탕으로 홍경천 추출액을 첨가시킨 요구르트를 만들어서 품질을 조사하였던 바 요구르트 성분, 품질과 보존성이 향상되는 것을 확인할 수 있었으며 항산화 활성도 양호한 반응을 보였다.

Moonpool characteristics of a cleaning skip related with the performance of a skip are experimentally investigated. Resistance performances of the ship and flow patterns in the moonpool are observed, in order to determine the effect of different shaped moonpool. The ways to reduce ship pithing motion caused by force in the moonpool are examined. Experimental results, using a scale model of cleaning ship with moonpool, show that the step arranged in tier under water leads to significant improvements in performance, such us resistance and ship pithing motion. Depending upon the shape of step in the moonpool, the results indicate that the increment of resistance performance may be up to 35%, especially in the case of no step or high step.

The IMU(Inertial Measurement Unit) which is the expensive equipment has been used as a special limited area, usually in measurement of posture of applying to the areas of ship, submarine, aircraft and military equipment application. However, in the current situation, MEMS AHRS technology can replace the high-priced IMU in MEMS AHRS selected application field. In this paper, wireless hull motion measurement system was suggested for measuring key elements of ship's movement such as rolling, pitching and yawing using gyro, acceleration and magnetic sensors of AHRS. In order to reduce the error such as instantaneous acceleration, effects and vibration of geomagnetic, we have adopted the sensors equipped with Kalman filtering. The Wireless hull motion measurement system using AHRS sensors was tested in actual ship and it could easily be applied in limited installation circumstances of the ship. In the future, this system can be useful in the navigation safety and marine accident analysis by using with ship equipment such as INS or VDR in the maritime.

The purpose of this research is to document the current state of 'One Book, One City' community reading campaign (Hereafter called 'One Book' reading campaign), launched in 2003 in Korea, and the characteristics of the selected books. For this research, the homepages, news and reports of a total of 1,170 public libraries and their local government, and several major institutions and organizations related to reading and culture were analyzed with the research method of content analysis and literature review. Also, online catalogs of the National Library of Korea and the National Library for Children and Young Adults were examined to identify the characteristics of 729 titles and 1,179 volumes of books selected in 57 'One Book' programs, as of 2021. The analysis of 57 'One Book' programs and those selected books shows the selection of more than one books in different age groups in more and more 'One Book' programs, lack of consistency in themes of those selected books, and preference for young adult books, new publications and bestselling novels. This trend has weakened individual 'One Book' programs' concentration on one book or one subject, but helped invite a diverse group of people with various interests. More in-depth analysis and explanation of the process of book selection and its appropriateness with the stated goals of 'One Book' programs are needed.

Osteosarcoma is the most common tumor in malignant bone tumors. The peak age incidence in osteosarcoma is between 10 to 14 years of age. This tumor rarely develops under 6 years of age and the youngest patient in the previous literature was a 13 months old girl who had an osteosarcoma involving the second metacarpal bone. We report a case of an 8 month old male infant, who had an osteosarcoma involving the right proximal tibia. This patient was treated by wide excision with transepiphyseal resection and reconstruction with allograft. At 20 months after operation, the varus deformity was developed at the proximal junctional site of allograft. Thereafter, the revision was performed with correction of deformity and augmentation with the proximal fibula transfer. At 51 months after operation, he has been remained as free of disease, and he has recovered the knee motion ranged from 15 degree to 75 degree. The osteosarcoma in infant is very rare but it should be considered the osteosarcoma in the differential diagnosis of any bone lesion. Instead of amputation, the limb sparing operation and the solutions for limb length inequility in growing period should be carefully considered in the infantile osteosarcoma.

The egg development and early life history of Acheilognathus majusculus which is Korean endemic species from Yeong river were observed under the controlled water temperature, $18.0{\pm}1.0^{\circ}C$. Fertilized eggs are opaque yellow in color and round oval shaped measuring 2.12 (2.08~2.18) mm in length and 1.86 (1.80~1.98) mm in breadth. The number of eggs averaged 72 (40~112) per an oviposition. The eggs of this species began to hatch about forty three hours after insemination and the total length of larvae was 4.23 mm mean. S form moving of larvae were not observed during larval development. The larvae reached at the heterotrophic stage about twenty-five days after hatching. It is estimated that the larvae was comming out from freshwater bivalve since that time in nature. A. majusculus was grew up to be adult stage enough which can be join to new production for three hundred days after hatching with over 67.8 mm in total length.

Several bacteria and yeasts were isolated from soil and characterized for the development of functional probiotics which can be used as a livestock feed additive. From the soil, the microbial strains which have acid/bovine resistance, antibiotics resistance and high stability, were isolated. Most strains selected were very tolerable against acids and very stable in a broad range of pH. Some strains could survive 100% at pH 2.5. The growth of the strains was not affected in the presence of bile acid, pathogenic E. coli and several antibiotics such as tetracycline, nisin, kanamycin, streptomycin, ampicillin. Acidogenic capability test showed that all the strains can produce acids. The hydrolytic activities were analysed for amylase, protease, lipase and cellulase to decompose various organic compounds. All the strains were found to be gram negative, round type, non-kinetic and the color is yellow or white.

Purpose: Xanthomatosis of the Achilles tendons is rare. In some patients, however, the lesions in the Achilles tendon need to be removed, which may be painful and disfiguring. While studies of successful surgical outcomes for the total resection and reconstruction of the Achilles tendon have been reported, reconstruction surgery has a technical challenge, and extended surgical exposures are required. This study analyzed five cases of bilateral xanthoma of the Achilles tendon, which was treated surgically using a wedge-shaped tendon-sparing approach to eliminate the need for tendon reconstruction. Materials and Methods: From July 2010 to May 2018, five patients with xanthomatosis in both Achilles tendons underwent wedge-shaped tendon preserving surgery. The average age was 49 years (range, 40-55 years), and the follow-up period was 21.4 months (range, 12-31 months). The patients consisted of three males and two females. Complications related to surgery were recorded. The outcome measures included the range of motion of the ankle joint, American Orthopaedic Foot and ankle Society (AOFAS) ankle/hindfoot score, and visual analogue scale (VAS) for overall satisfaction at the last follow-up. The availability of a single-limb heel raise and returning time to work were also measured. Results: Wound dehiscence that did not require secondary surgery was noted in one patient. At the last follow-up, the range of motion of the ankle joint was normal in all patients. The mean AOFAS ankle/hindfoot score was 91 (range, 85-96) and the VAS for the overall satisfaction ranged from 8 to 10. The average time between surgery and return to work was 27.6 days (range, 17-58 days) and all patients could perform a single-limb heel raise test. Conclusion: The tendon-sparing technique, which can preserve the anatomical functioning of the Achilles tendon, could be an excellent surgical approach because it has very promising functional and cosmetic surgical outcomes in patients with Achilles tendon xanthomatosis.
