Verification of the longitudinal relationship between mothers' cultural adaptation patterns, multicultural acceptability of multicultural adolescents, and national identity: Focusing on the mediating effect of the autoregressive cross-lagged model (어머니의 문화적응유형과 다문화청소년의 다문화수용성, 국가정체성 간 종단관계 검증: 자기회귀교차지연모형의 매개효과를 중심으로)

  • In this study, the autoregressive cross-lagged model was applied to verify the longitudinal correlation between the three factors and the pattern of changes over time in the mother's cultural adaptation type, the multicultural acceptability of multicultural adolescents, and national identity. For the study, longitudinal data from the 2nd, 4th, 6th, and 8th years of the MAPS tracked from the 5th grade of elementary school to the 2nd grade of high school were used for analysis. As a result of the analysis, all four types of mother's acculturation were analyzed to have a significant longitudinal effect over time. The four types of mothers' cultural adaptation were analyzed to have a longitudinal mediating effect on the relationship between the national identity of multicultural youth. Based on these analysis results, it is necessary to provide a continuous acculturation support program. In order to have a sense of belonging and solidarity with the country, it was suggested that education to increase multicultural receptivity should be carried out in parallel.

Longitudinal Relationship between Negative Parenting Attitudes Perceived by Adolescents, Self-Esteem, and Life Satisfaction: Application of the Autoregressive Cross-Lagged Model (청소년이 인식한 부모의 부정적 양육태도와 자아존중감, 삶의 만족도 간의 종단적 관계: 자기회귀교차지연모형의 적용)

  • This study aims to examine the mutual influences of negative parenting attitudes, self-esteem, and life satisfaction perceived by adolescent children through longitudinal perspective. Data from the first to third years of the panel of the first year middle school students were used among the 2018 data of the Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey (KCYPS) of the Korea Youth Policy Institute. The longitudinal correlation was analyzed by applying the autoregressive cross-lagged model which can determine the direction of longitudinal causality between variables. As a result of the analysis, it was found that the negative parenting attitudes, self-esteem, and life satisfaction perceived by adolescents had a positive effect on the negative parenting attitude perception, self-esteem, and life satisfaction at later times, respectively. In addition, the higher the negative parenting attitude at the previous point was, the lower the self-esteem or life satisfaction afterward. The higher the life satisfaction, the lower the negative parenting attitude of the parents, and the higher the self-esteem. Recognition of negative parenting attitudes of parents lowered the self-esteem of adolescents, whereas the cross-delay coefficient from self-esteem to negative parenting attitude perception was not significant. Through these results, the longitudinal relationship between negative parenting attitude perception of adolescence, self-esteem, and life satisfaction was confirmed and efforts to form positive self-esteem and improve life satisfaction were discussed.

  • 이종 망 환경에서 멀티미디어 서비스의 QoS를 보장하는 것은 3GE 시스템 개발을 위한 중요한 이슈이다. 이동 단말기가 이종 망간의 이동 시 끊임없는 서비스(seamless service)를 지원하기 위해서는 종단간(end-to-end) 협상 정보에 근거하여 사용자의 QoS를 보장할 수 있는 QoS 운영 구조(QoS management structure)를 제공해야 한다. 본 논문에서는 SLA(Service Level Agreement)에 기반한 종단간 QoS 제어 방안을 제시한다. 이를 위하여, QoS 지원을 위한 SLA 제어 구조 및 알고리즘을 제안하고, 시뮬레이션을 통하여 평균 지연과 패킷 손실률을 평가한다. 제안된 방식을 적용한 시스템이 기존의 망보다 더 좋은 성능을 보인다.

  • ATM networks with long-distance links, causing long propagation delays, may require virtual end system functions to provide ABR services. We survey several issues for implementing the control functions for ABR service in multiple VCs, required in the virtual ends, and propose a structure for implementation. In the proposed design, shared memory structure is used to control the cell emission of the multiple VCs for the ABR services in the virtual end systems.

  • We propose a cell-multiplexing scheme for the real-time communication service in ATM network and a new service discipline guarantee end-to-end delay based on pseudo-isochronous cell switching. The proposed scheme consists of two level frame hierarchy, upper and lower frame, which is used to assign the bandwidth and to guarantee the requested delay bound, respectively. Since the proposed algorithm employs two level frame hierarchy, it can overcome the coupling problem which is inherent to the framing strategy. The proposed scheme consists of two components, traffic controller and scheduller, as the imput traffic description model and regulates the input traffic specification. The function of the traffic controller is to shape real-time traffic to have the same input pattern at every switch along the path. The end-to-end delay is bounded by the scheduller which can limit the delay variation without using per-session jitter controllers, and therefore it can decrease the required buffer size. The proposed algorithm can support the QoS's of non-real time traffic as well as those of real time traffic

Delay Improvement from Network Coding in Networks with High Coefficient of Variation of Transfer Time (전송시간의 변화가 큰 네트워크에서 네트워크 코딩을 적용한 전송 지연시간 개선 방법 및 성능 분석)

  • In this paper, we focus on end-to-end transfer delay improvement by using network coding and propose a scheme where a message is divided into several packets which are network coded generating additional redundancy with the results that the number of transmitted packets increases. In networks with high coefficient of variation of transfer time, increased number of packets could reduce the transfer time of the message to a destination. For the proposed scheme, we investigate the optimum number of divided packets and redundancy considering transfer delay reduction and additional transmission cost caused by using network coding under the restriction of maximum transmission packet size. From the results of the investigation, we see that the proposed scheme is effective in networks having high variability of transfer time and would be very useful and practical especially for the case that expedited deliveries of messages are needed.

  • Recent research on energy harvesting wireless sensor networks focuses on the development of techniques to solve the limited energy resource problem and to extend the whole network life efficiently. Energy harvesting technology can increase the lifetime of a network, but data transmission becomes unavailable when it harvests energy from radio frequency, resulting longer network delay with respect to the increased time in energy harvesting. Therefore, building energy harvesting wireless sensor network should consider the possible network delay as well as the network lifetime problem. In this paper, we propose a new MAC protocol that minimizes end-to-end network delay by adjusting the data transmission time for a packet based on estimating the energy for data transmission along with the amount of traffic flowing into the network and harvested energy. For this goal, it engineers an energy management mechanism that adjusts the sleep time of the network by measuring energy harvesting time. In addition, with simulation results it shows that the proposed MAC protocol improves the performance in terms of energy consumption and end-to-end delay, compared to the existing MAC protocols.

  • 본 논문에서는 지금까지 제시된 다양한 동적 COS (CrossOver Switch) 선택 방식들을 4가지 유형을 분류하였다. 그리고 ATM 포럼에서 제안된 순방향 핸드오버와 역방향 핸드오버의 손실 방지 핸드오버와 손실허용 핸드오버 방식에 대해 COS의 위치에 따른 영향을 핸드오버 지연, 사용자의 서비스 중단 시간, 셀 버퍼링양 및 셀 손실 관점, 그리고 경로 재사용 효율과 종단간 전송 지연 관점에서 수식적으로 분석하였다. 이러한 분석을 바탕으로 무선 ATM의 역방향 핸드오버에 대한 적절한 COS 선택 기준을 각 방식별/성능 평가 요소별로 제시되었다.

  • Recent researches on radio frequency energy harvesting networks(RF-EHNs) with limited energy resource like battery have been focusing on the development of a new scheme that can effectively extend the whole lifetime of a network to semipermanent. In order for considerable increase both in the amount of energy obtained from radio frequency energy harvesting and its charging effectiveness, it is very important to design a network that supports energy harvesting and data transfer simultaneously with the full consideration of various characteristics affecting the performance of a RF-EHN. In this paper, we proposes an interference-based charging aware routing protocol(ICARP) that utilizes interference information and charging time to maximize the amount of energy harvesting and to minimize the end-to-end delay from a source to the given destination node. To accomplish the research objectives, this paper gives a design of ICARP adopting new network metrics such as interference information and charging time to minimize end-to-end delay in energy harvesting wireless networks. The proposed method enables a RF-EHN to reduce the number of packet losses and retransmissions significantly for better energy consumption. Finally, simulation results show that the network performance in the aspects of packet transmission rate and end-to-end delay has enhanced with the comparison of existing routing protocols.
