  • In this study, six historical parks in Seoul is analyzed. Based on the analysis, the representative values of the historical parks in Seoul draw three criteria such as historicity, educational attributes, and sociality, and also the type of historic and cultural resources, spatial functions and arrangements, circulation and accessibility, and the type and usage of introduced facilities. Consequently the current status and improvement plan is suggested as follows. First, cultural assets oriented historical parks such as Sayuksin Bongeun and Seonnongdan historical Park focus on the management based on the preservation of historic and cultural resources. Non designated cultural heritages oriented historic parks such as Shingye Yanghwajin Itaewon-bugundang historic park should focus on the usages the symbolize and commemorate historic and cultural resources. Second, Careful attitudes on the historicity of the park are needed in the mixed type of historic and cultural resources that determine the identity such as Yanghwajin Itaewon-bugundang historic park. Third, the rate of facilities in Bongeun and Shingye historical park is increased due to the renovation of religion facilities, rather than the neighborhood parks. The autonomy of regulations that does not have the limits of the area of park facilities weaken the publicity of the historical parks. Fourth, Shingye historical park suggest changing its name into Danggogae martyrs' shrine historical park. because its historic and cultural resources are included as the historic park is named. Fifth, the current problems such as numerous uncontrolled entrances, mixed uses in circulation, and accessible failure due to the closure are recognized. Therefore, the entrances and circulations should be articulated clearly in order to increase opportunities of experience for visitors in the historic and cultural resources, and also neighborhood facility should be suitably divided. Sixth, the park facilities in the neighborhood parks are introduced equally in Seoul historical parks. The uses and arrangements that considered the circumstance of the historical parks should be determined in the cultural facilities such as outdoor music hall and sporting facilities. Seventh, historic facilities that named historic hall, culture hall, memorial hall, and promotion hall in the historic parks are utilized for convenience and religion facilities. Institutional framework should be examined to keep publicity in the historic parks by spatial privatization of the specific group.

For statistical analysis, the SPSS 20.0 and AMOS 18.0 programs were used and frequency, percentages, technical statistics, correlation, factor analysis, structural model validation, and the Sobel-Test were performed. The results of this study are as follows. First, family intimacy, elderly awareness, and elderly care were the highest among elementary school students, followed by middle school and high school students (P.<.001). • It is very difficult for ordinary people to commit suicide bombing because of two reasons. First off, suicide bombers have to sacrifice themselves. Moreover, suicide bombers should kill innocent people who are not directly related to their goals. However, suicide bombing increase and 2,670 people were killed in 2011 due to suicide bombing. Ropoport indicated that suicide bombing is related to the fourth wave in modern terrorism. This study explored the current situation of suicide bombing and analyze suicide bombers' motivation with several cases. The suicide bombers' motivations were explained by two categories, which are individual and organizational(or social) aspects. The individual aspect included the loss of family, trauma, and distorted recognition of society. The organizational(or social) aspect consisted of religion, ideology, and strategy. It was found that these aspects influence suicide bombing. There was no suicide bombing in Korea, but we need to prepare for suicide bombing because of high possibility.

Participants in this cross-sectional survey were 248 aged over 65 older people in Jecheon city. Data were collected from July. 3 to 21, 2016 using the self-report questionnaire. The results of multiple regression analysis showed that subjective oral health status, oral health literacy, cohabitant, the number of teeth, education level and religion significantly predicted OHRQoL in the elderly people, explaining 44.3% of the variance. Therefore, health care providers should consider that interventions preventing tooth loss and improving oral health status and oral health literacy are required to enhance the OHRQoL in the elderly people.

  • This study was conducted to identify the relationship between personal competence of health care(PCHC) and quality of life among middle-aged adults. Data were collected using questionnaires from 412 middle-aged parents of university student. There were significant differences in PCHC and quality of life according to educational level, family support, monthly income, exercise over 3times a week, subjective health status. However, religion and drinking made a differece only in PCHC on the other hand, sex and disease affected quality of life. All subdomains of PCHC had significant positive correlations with quality of life. Factors predicting quality of life among subdomains of PCHC were health perception, sociocultural relationship and socioeconomical involvement, which explained about 50.3%. These results indicate a need to develop programs to improve health perception, sociocultural and socioeconomical competence for middle-aged adults.

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the loneliness and spiritual needs of the elderly in a certain area. The participants in this study were over 65 years, 159 elderly who attended in senior classes in Seoul. The instruments used for this study were revised UCLA 'Loneliness scale' developed by Russell, Peplau & Cutrona (1980) and translated by Kim & Kim (1989) and 'Spiritual need scale' developed by Yong (2008). The collected data were analyzed using SPSS 15.0 program, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe's test and Pearson's correlation coefficient. The score of loneliness was 2.02/4, spiritual need was 4.51/5. The relationship between loneliness and spiritual needs showed significant negative correlation. Loneliness of the elderly who do not attend a religious attendance was high and spiritual needs were low. Spiritual needs of the elderly who are women over 80 years and living with subsidy from the government were high. Spiritual nursing interventions are needed to reduce a feeling of loneliness among the elderly who experience high degree of loneliness.
