Development and Performance Evaluation of an Animal SPECT System Using Philips ARGUS Gamma Camera and Pinhole Collimator (Philips ARGUS 감마카메라와 바늘구멍조준기를 이용한 소동물 SPECT 시스템의 개발 및 성능 평가)

  • Purpose: We developed an animal SPECT system using clinical Philips ARGUS scintillation camera and pinhole collimator with specially manufactured small apertures. In this study, we evaluated the physical characteristics of this system and biological feasibility for animal experiments. Materials and Methods: Rotating station for small animals using a step motor and operating software were developed. Pinhole inserts with small apertures (diameter of 0.5, 1.0, and 2.0 mm) were manufactured and physical parameters including planar spatial resolution and sensitivity and reconstructed resolution were measured for some apertures. In order to measure the size of the usable field of view according to the distance from the focal point, manufactured multiple line sources separated with the same distance were scanned and numbers of lines within the field of view were counted. Using a Tc-99m line source with 0.5 mm diameter and 12 mm length placed in the exact center of field of view, planar spatial resolution according to the distance was measured. Calibration factor to obtain FWHM values in 'mm' unit was calculated from the planar image of two separated line sources. Te-99m point source with i mm diameter was used for the measurement of system sensitivity. In addition, SPECT data of micro phantom with cold and hot line inserts and rat brain after intravenous injection of [I-123]FP-CIT were acquired and reconstructed using filtered back protection reconstruction algorithm for pinhole collimator. Results: Size of usable field of view was proportional to the distance from the focal point and their relationship could be fitted into a linear equation (y=1.4x+0.5, x: distance). System sensitivity and planar spatial resolution at 3 cm measured using 1.0 mm aperture was 71 cps/MBq and 1.24 mm, respectively. In the SPECT image of rat brain with [I-123]FP-CIT acquired using 1.0 mm aperture, the distribution of dopamine transporter in the striatum was well identified in each hemisphere. Conclusion: We verified that this new animal SPECT system with the Phlilps ARGUS scanner and small apertures had sufficient performance for small animal imaging.

  • 제지산업에 경쟁력을 부여할 수 있는 방법의 일환으로 제지용 도공안료의 표면개질을 시도하였다 은(Ag)이 항균력이 있다는 것이 여러 사람에 의해 증명된바 있으므로 이 은의 항균력을 제지용 무기안료에 이산화티탄과 함께 표면개질하고 다기능성 복합 항균분체를 설계하였다. 표면개질장치에 설치한 기상분사장치를 통해 은 용액을 고압기상분사로 TiO$_2$입자 표면에 Coating 하였다 이때의 분무각도는 60$^{\circ}$이고 오리피스 직경은 0.6mm, 분사 압력은 14kgf/$\textrm{cm}^2$ 이다. TiO$_2$에 은 용액을 기상분사하여 코팅시킨 후 표면개질 계산식에 의한 배합비로 모입자(clay, CaCO$_3$, PE)와 자입자(TiO$_2$)를 혼합하였고, 분체의 대전현상을 이용하여 모입자 주위에 자입자를 부착시킨 후, 고속기류중 충격력으로 표면개질처리를 하였다 표면개질 장치를 사용하여 제지용 무기안료 표면에 은용액이 코팅된 TiO$_2$를 개질 시켰다. 각종 물성(항균성, 백색도, 산란도)과 XRD, SEM 측정을 통해 기능성 항균분체의 실용방안 가능성에 대하여 조사하였다.

  • Boresight process is to match the misalignment between PNU(Position Navigation Unit) and the reference axis of K-MLRS cage. It is important process to ensure accuracy of K-MLRS. When PNU is removed from cage in the previous alignment procedure, there is a misalignment angle with cage of K-MLRS during reassembly process. Therefore, boresight process is always need to align reference axes between PNU and K-MLRS cage. However, this study has proposed the case alignment process that it enable to correspond to reference axes between ISA (Inertial Sensor Assembly) block and PNU case. So, improved alignment procedure enables to install PNU in the reassembly process without additional boresight process.

  • 유비쿼터스 환경에서 사용자에게 유용한 서비스를 제공하기 위해서는 기능을 명시적으로 제공하기 보다는 사용자의 요구에 따라서 능동형으로 제공하는 기능이 필요하다. 이러한 능동형 서비스는 알아서 서비스를 수행하는 기능으로 CAMUS 시스템에서는 서비스 탐색 부분에서 사용된다. 즉 시스템의 상황에 따라서 메시지 시스템을 구현하는 경우에 자원의 형태에 따라서 영상 메세징, TTS 기능을 이용한 메세징, Text 기반 메세징 시스템으로 자동적으로 처리할 수 있다. 이를 위해 CAMUS 서버에는 SAM(Service Agent Manager) 과의 통신을 통해 환경 내에 존재하는 센서와 장치들 (Service Agent)을 관리 및 제어한다. 이러한 Service Agent Manager 는 여러 다양한 환경에 설치되어 환경 내에 위치한 다양한 센서로부터 정보를 얻고 그 정보를 CAMUS 메인 서버에 전달하는 한편 CAMUS 메인 서버로부터 실행명령을 받아 환경 내 장치를 제어하는 역할을 한다. 이러한 Service Agent Manager는 임의의 공간 내에 설치될 수 있으며 로봇단말이나 개인 휴대단말 등에도 설치될 수 있다 이 논문에서는 SAM(Service Agent Manager) 과 CAMUS 서버에서 원하는 서비스를 탐색하는 방법에 대한 내용을 기술하였다.

  • 서비스 로봇의 활용에 있어, 보다 고품질의 다양한 서비스를 제공하기 위해 로봇이 사용자의 위치를 추적하고 필요에 따라 사용자 주위로 이동할 수 있는 추종 기능이 요구된다. 현실적으로 사용자 위치 추종 기능을 독립적인 단일 로봇만으로 구현하기는 어려우며 다수 로봇과 환경 내에 설치된 장치들을 복합적으로 활용하여 구현하는 것이 효과적이다. 한국전자통신연구원에서는 네트워크 기반으로 다수의 이종 로봇과 환경 내 장치간의 협업에 대한 연구를 진행해 왔으며, 이러한 연구의 일환으로 이종 다수 로봇 협업 기반 사용자 추종 및 사용자 위치 기반 로봇 서비스 시스템을 개발하였다. 본 논문에서는 기 개발된 사용자 위치 추적 시스템을 실제 로봇에 적용하여 사용자를 추종하고, 이를 바탕으로 로봇이 사용자에게 다양한 서비스를 제공하는 로봇 응용 시스템에 대해 설명한다.

  • In this thesis, in consideration of the functions of general carriers, smart carriers with various convenience functions were studied for supplementation and improvement based on the disadvantages of carriers and inconvenience when using them. Based on the app inventory program, LED and motor locks were installed in carriers through smartphone applications, Bluetooth recognition and control functions that easily control on/off, load cell sensors were installed inside the carriers to detect weight, install Bluetooth and alarms on LCD panels, and prevent theft and loss.

  • Combat vehicles need an air-conditioning unit, although new combat systems tend to use an integrated system for heating, cooling, and ventilating. The specifications of an air-conditioning unit depend on the combat vehicle's purpose. It is difficult to send cooling air from the air-conditioning unit to a gun turret through the drum basket because the gun turret rotates and consists of a closed anti-aircraft shell magazine. In this study, we considered an air-conditioning unit for armored combat vehicle based on the special requirements and military specifications. We evaluated the performance of the air-conditioning unit despite the rotating gun turret through analysis and tests in terms of flow improvement compared to the previous model.

  • This paper presents the technique to develop an operational flight program(OFP) of avionic system computer(ASC) which integrates the avionics control, navigation and fire control and provides informations for flight, navigation and weapon aiming missions. For the development of the OFP of ASC, two i960KB chips are used as central processing units board and standard computer interface library(SCIL) which is built in house is used. The Irvine compiler corporation(ICC) integrated development environment(IDE) and the programming language Ada95 are used for the OFP development. We designed the OFP to a computer software configuration item(CSCI) which consists of to three parts for independency of software modules. The OFP has been verified through a series of flight tests. The relevant tests also have been rigorously conducted on the OFP such as software integrated test, and ground functional test.

  • Noise barrier is generally used with welding of joint rail for railway noise reduction in our country. But the noise barrier for high speed railway has weak point in low frequencies about 315Hz band. In this study, For developing of Interference-type Noise Reduction Device(INRD), acoustic analysis were performed using commercial software. For verifying the improvement in the noise reduction, noise measurement before and after installing of INRD were performed in Anechoic Chamber. From these acoustic analysis and noise measurement, it was known that developed INRD has a good noise reduction performance and can be used efficiently with conventional noise barrier.
