본 논문에서는 DSP(Digital Signal Processor)를 이용해 INMARSAT-M 위성통신용 단말기 중의 변ㆍ복조부를 설계하였다. R-RC(ROOt Raised Cosine) 필터에 의해 대역제한된 OQPSK 파형의 발생과 디지털 정합필터(Matched filter)를 이용한 OQPSK 복조, 부호율 1/2이고 구속장이 7인 길쌈부호기 및 클록 복구(Clock recovery)의 구현 알고리즘을 C언어와 어셈블리어로 작성하고, 모뎀을 실제 제작하여 변조기능, 복조기능으로 나누어서 동작 특성을 살펴보았다.

This study identified significant variables that influence the science teaching self-efficacy beliefs of Kindergarten teachers. Data was obtained from 317 kindergarten teachers who responded to the questionnaire, the Science Teaching Efficacy Belief Instrument (Riggs & Enochs). Results indicated that science teaching experience, teachers' attitudes about science and teaching science, and children's interest in science influenced science teaching self-efficacy. Science related experiences of childhood and schooling negatively affected science teaching outcome expectancy.

지난해 11월 20일, 서강애드넷(주) 대표이사 정순권의 조부 백암(白巖) 정태화공(公)에게 건국훈장 애족장이 추서됐다. 정태화공의 항일 독립운동 공적이 세기가 바뀌고 10여년이 더 지나서야 인정받은 것으로, 손자인 정순권 대표이사가 훈장을 전수했다. 정 대표는 대한인쇄문화협회에서 인쇄문화발전과 인쇄문화인의 권익신장을 위해 법률개정위원회 위원으로 활동하고 있다. 서울시 중구 필동에 소재한 서강애드넷(주)의 집무실에는 다양한 서적이 진열돼 있어 공부하는 사업가임을 느낄 수 있었고, 국내 유수의 여러 기관과 지자체 등 많은 기업체와 업종의 마케팅 홍보물과 기획 실적물이 20여 년의 업력을 전하고 있었다.

조선 후기 이조판서ㆍ대제학을 지낸 서유구(1764~1845년)는 조부와 부친의 가문과 전통을 계승하여 농학에 큰 업적을 남겼다. 서유구의 농학 대표작은 "임원경제지"로 1백13권에 52책으로 되어있는데, 이는 농학지라기보다 농촌생활의 백과사전이라 할 수 있다. 이 책은 한국 과학기술사 또는 농업기술사 연구에 좋은 재료가 되고 있다.

Three species of the order Perciformes collected from coastal waters of Cheju Island, Korea were documented with photographs, all of which are newly known to Korea. Nemipterus bathybius Snyder, 1911 of the family Nemipteridae is distinguished by seven anal soft rays and the most upper ray at the caudal fin elongated. Cirrhitichthys aureus (Temminck et Schlegel, 1842) of the family Cirrhitidae (New Korean name: Hwangbokdom-kwa), is characterized by the five to six light black spots on the dorso-Iateral sides, 12 dorsal soft rays and a dorsal fin without spots and bands. Parapercis aurantiaca D$\ddot{o}$erlein, 1884 of the family Pinguipedidae, has several taxonomic characters. The dorsal spines and the soft rays of the dorsal fins were connected without a notch. The five to six dark yellow bands with the same size of eye length were shown on the lateral region. A new Korean name Kinsilkkoridom is proposed for the Nemipterus bathybius, and Cirrhitichthys aureus, Hwangbukdom, and Parapercis aurantiaca, Hwangssangdonggari.

Three specimens (56.7~92.4 mm in standard length) of the small psychrolutid Psychrolutes pustulosus (Schmidt, 1937) were collected by bottom trawl in the coastal waters off Pohang, the southern East Sea, Korea. This species is characterized by large cephalic pores, no markings on the body or fins, no spines on the head, and no notch between the spiny and soft-rayed dorsal fin. We describe specimens the southernmost distribution in the world, and compare them with two congeneric species from Russia. We thus present the first record of Psychrolutes pustulosus (Schmidt, 1937) within the Korean fish fauna and propose the new Korean name "Min-mu-nui-mul-su-bae-gi" for this species.

Two specimens (56.3~61.1 mm SL) of the serranid fish, Chelidoperca pleurospilus and 21 specimens (34.0~93.6 mm SL) of the pinguipedid fish, Parapercis muronis were collected around Jeju Island, southern Korea. C. pleurospilus is characterized by having five dark blotches along lateral line, truncated caudal fin, and scaleless interorbital space. P. muronis is characterized by having five oblique dark bands on body side, five spines on dorsal fin, and no notch between spinous and soft-rayed portions of dorsal fin. We describe these specimens as the first record from Korea, and propose the new Korean name, "Byeol-gak-si-dom" for the former and "Da-seosjul-yang-dong-mi-ri" for the latter.

Morphological characters of Heteropriacanthus cruentatus are redescribed in detail based on a single specimen (179.3 mm SL) collected from the coastal waters of Jeju Island, Korea. The species is characterized by dark brown spots scattered on the caudal fin and the soft-rayed portions of the dorsal and anal fins, and 59 pored lateral line scales.

The purpose of this study was to investigate differences in social play, cognitive play, and social-cognitive play patterns as related to young children's field independence-dependence cognitive styles. Sixteen field independent and sixteen field dependent children were selected from a group of 79 young children with the use of Preschool Embedded Figures Test(PEFT). Their social play, cognitive play, and social-cognitive play patterns were observed. The data collected for this study were analyzed by using SPSS/$PC^+$; frequency, percentage and ${\chi}^2$ test. The results of this study were that (1) difference of social play patterns as related to young children's field independence-dependence cognitive styles was not found, (2) differences were found in cognitive play patterns as related to young children's field independence-dependence cognitive styles, and (3) differences were found in social-cognitive play pattern as related to young children's field independence-dependence cognitive styles.

The purpose of this study was to investigate sex differences in creativity among young children and differences in creativity as a function of the questioning patterns of teachers. The subjects were 4 teachers and 133 five-year-old children (63 boys and 70 girls). The questioning of teachers were categorized into divergent vs. convergent patterns by 3 trained observers. The TTCT (Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking) was administered to the subjects. Creativity scores on fluency, elaboration, originality, and abstractness of titles differed by questioning patterns. Girls' elaboration scores were higher than boys' as a function of teachers' divergent questioning patterns. Boys' abstractness of titles was higher than girls' as a function of teacher's convergent questioning patterns.
