  • Exhbitlon hghting design be done aftrr due consideration of the photochermcal reaction and h ~ ~ i i tc~.fficits~ upn exposure to light. In this study the balanced judgement is as follows. The most light-susceptible material shouid be illu~stratrui less than 50[k] (illurnlnance-hours per year : 120, 000k.h)and the illuminance of moderately sensitive rriatcrinl k 200[1x] (illuminance hours per year : 480, 0001x.h). Moreover to minimize damage the sources of light shoulcl not only contribute as little as heat possible but remove ultraviolt radiation by filters. Also the sources of light must have good color rendering and low color temperature.

A Study Iron Losses On the Cable Racks adjacent to Under Ground Power Cable (지중전력 케이블에 근접한 지지물의 철손에 관한 연구)

  • This paper is described on the eddy current for a peripheral magnetic objects of under ground power cable. The materials of cable rack is used FRP and SUS in the place of iron. Each specimen were measureed for eddy current loss and Hysteresis loss by Epstein's method. The results is compared each other. Hysteresis loss is inversely proportional to $\textrm{f}^{0.6}$ of frequence as supply voltage is constant. Also, iron loss is increased to 0.86 times for varinace of frequency from 60[Hz] to 50[Hz] as a maxium flux density is constant. In the case of Fe, Hysteresis loss is above 70[% ] of total iron loss. In the other hand, SUS is decreased to go[%] of Fe. by the simulation results using Loss Program Package. The iron loss of materials SUS, FRP is near zeor by Epstein's method.

  • We studied the dielectric and dynamic mechanical losses according to the quenching condition in low density polyethylene being used to power cables. According to severe quenching condition, characteristics of the temperature in internal friction los peak have decreased the magnitude of loss peak as amorphous region lengthen. From now on, the frequency dependent characteristics of dielectric loss have investigated at room temperature, and the dielectric loss peak due to interface polarization, between crystal and amorphous region, occurs about 30[Hz], and that, the peak due to orientation polarization in correspondence to the loss peak in internal friction has observed at about 3 [MHz]. As quenching velocity increased, the effect on quenching condition about the dielectric loss has decreased the magnitude of the loss peak. Thus, estimation has been carried out on the activation energies nd the degree of crystallinity by means of X-ray diffraction are obtained as follows: room quenching : 26.4 [kal/mole] and 54.73 [%], ice quenching : 25.6 [kcal/mole] and 48.47 [%], liquid nitrogen quenching specimens : 22.56 [kcal/mole] and 40.95 [%].

  • In order tl get Maaterial requirements for the Improviment of erliability of Insulatint materials for power cables, partial discharge characteristics of Polyethylenes were measured by an ultrasonic techjique and Measured signals were processed to cbtain the paraceters useful for thr quantification of partial discharge characteristics of polyethylenes. This technique was applied to obtain material requirements for the development of improved insulating materials for power cables,As a result, it was found that partial discharging activities in polyethylenes were suppressed considerably when p proper amount of acrylic acid, 0.003[wt %]in this particular case, is grafted on polyethylene chains.It can be concludid from the present study that partial discharging actibities in polyethylenes could be suppressed by the modification of polyethylene with proper chemical components, acrilic acid in this particular study.

  • For experiment, we made the electro chemical display element with the NESA glass of display electrode which had low resistance. Density of injection charge, optical density and response characteristics were observed through coloring and achromatizing phemomena in the display element As optical electric chemical reaction was occured in $WO_3$ and cell, it was possible to repeat colouring and achromatizing, and the colouring characteristics was good. And the higher colouring and achromatizing voltage, the lower resistance of electrode and the thinner $WO_3$film was, the better response characteristics. With analyzing phenomena of electro chromism, we could find the possibility of practical use of the coloring and achromatizing element for clock, instrument and guide plate.

Survey on the Pests of Stored Garlic (저장마늘을 가해하는 해충조사)

  • Survey was conducted on the kinds and densities of pests associated with stored garlic collected from farms of major garlic production areas from 1994 to 1995 in Korea. Aceria tulipae, Rhizoglyphus sp., Ditylenchus dipsaci, and Tyrophagus putrescentiae were frequently detected with high densities and Tarsonemus bilobatus and Aphelenchus avenue showed relatively low detection rates and densities. Detection rate of A. tulipue was 38% in 1994, but the rate was 65% in 1995. Number of the mite ranged from 1 to 4,500 per scale. Detection rate of Rhizoglyphus sp. was 63% in 1994, but the rate was 13% in 1995 and average number of the mite ranged from 1 to 135 per scale in 1994. Garlics damaged by Rhizoglyphus sp. showed decaying symptom. T~rophagusp utrescentiae was detected from 22 farms among 32 farms surveyed in 1994 and from 21 farms among 39 farms surveyed in 1995. However, number of the mite on garlic scale was relatively lower than the other mites and its damages on stored garlic was not determined.

  • 양극산화 피막의 졀정구조에 관한 연구는 1960년대부터 반응 Mechanism의 연구와 병행하여 많은 논란이 되어왔다. 결정구조의 정확한 Model 이 아직까지 확립되어 있지 않은 상태에서, 여러 가지 접근방식으로 연구되고 있는 실정이다. 최근에는 HRTEM, NAS-NMR등의 고성밀 장비의 응용에 의한 결정구조의 분석에 활발히 진행이 되고 있으며, 이론 물리학의 응용 또한 이곳까지 확산되고 있는 상태이다. 본 고에서는 반응 Mechanism을 연구하는데 가장 밀접한 분야인 양극산화 피막 결정 구조에 관해 1950년대이후 어떻게 연구되고 설명되었는가를 조명하기로 한다.

  • 플라스틱 제품은 경량이며 내후성, 내구성, 방음성, 단열성, 절연성 등이 우수하고 또한 발포가공에 의해 원료 폴리머의 사용량을 저감시켜 생산원가를 줄일 수 있다는 커다란 장점이 있다. 그러나 물리적인 강도, 가연성, 내열성 등의 한계점 때문에 그 용도가 제한되고 있는 실정이다. 형상 변경이 비교적 용이한 경량 구조체를 이용한 건축소재는 협소공간의 고도 이용과 건설 분야의 양적, 질적인 측면에서 급속한 성장으로 건축자재의 경량화, 고급화 및 다양화를 요구하고 있으며 이에 polyurethane, polyethylene, polystyrene 등의 플리스틱 및 foam 형태의 저밀도 고분자 건축소재의 사용이 급증되고 있다.(중략)
