A monolayer assembly of anthracene-viologen linked thiol ($AMVC_{8}SH$) was fabricated on a gold electrode by self-assembly method. Structural property of the self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) was carried out by optical and electrochemical method. Firstly, we investigated PL spectrum and UV/visible absorption for the optical properties in solution state. Secondly, we determined the characteristics of charge transfer in different electrolyte solutions by electrochemical quartz crystal microbalance (EQCM). From the data, the PL spectrum and UV/visible absorption were observed and the well-defined shape peaks were nearly equal charges during redox reactions and existed to an excellent linear relationship between the scan rates and existed to currents. The mass change was determined during redox reaction. The mass change behavior of SAMs was not only governed by the mobility of the ion in the viologen but the valence of the ion in the electrolyte solution.

Accurate alignment between high-performance payloads and attitude control sensors is essential factor to guarantee accurate attitude orientation and high pointing stability of the satellite. Space craft developers often use theodolite measurement system for satellite alignment during ground AIT(Assembly Integration and Test) phase. When measuring theodolite, errors may occur due to line of sight error, tilting axis error, vertical index error, and vertical axis error. In addition, errors that can occur during alignment measurements with multiple theodolites are analyzed through the alignment cube measurements test. Based on the alignment cube measurements test, a technical method that can improve the alignment measurement accuracy was suggested and it's measurements results satisfied the satellite design requirements.
INS(Inertial Navigation System) calculates navigation information using a vehicle's acceleration and angular velocity without the outside information. However, when navigation is performed for a long time, navigation error gradually diverges and the performance decreases. To enhance INS's performance, the rotation of inertial measurement unit is developed to compensate error sources of inertial sensors, which is called RINS(Rotational Inertial Navigation System). This paper analyzes the influence of several errors for dual-axis RINS and the shows the results using simulation.
In the Sinri area located at the mid western boundary of the Jinan basin, the Manduksan Formation which mainly consists of coarse sandstone narrowly intercalated with shale and the alternation of sand and shale and the Dalgil Formation mainly of shale are distributed. It consists of four lithofacies, such as coarse sandstone, interbedded sandstone/shale, shale and volcanic rock lithofacies. All sediments are interpreted to be deposited by turbidity currents and free fallouts in a lacustrine basin. In these rocks many penecontemporaneous defomation structures are observed such as fold and thrust fault at large scale, and swelling, boudin structure, flame structure, load structure, ptygmatic fold and convolute bedding at small scale. All these structures are developed between upper and lower undisturbed sedimentary strata. Two large folds are similar folds, but lower one gradually developed into concentric shape. The swelling structures by convergence of the sediments are observed in the hinge area and the boudin structures are developed in the limb. The thrust faults including minor folds and sandstone lobes show duplex structure with asymmetric and kink fold on and below in front of the detached sandstone layer. Development of the swellings, boudins and lobes indicates the flexbility of the sediments during deformational episodes. The folds and thrust faults rarely contain fractures relative their scales and lithologies. This feature also indicates the retrievability of sediments during deformation. At the flanks of the thrust faults the normal faults are formed contemporaneously. The deformation structures at small scale such as flame structures, load structures, ptygmatic folds and convolute beddings are syndepositional and penecontemporaneous, which show the effects of tectonic movements. All these deformed sedimentary structures of the Sinri area suggest the continuing tectonic movements during and/or after deposition.

Recently, the number of people with diabetes is rapidly increasing, coupled with the fact that the insulin market is remarkably increasing. Therefore, molecular farming for plant-derived pharmaceutical protein production is reported as becoming more attractive than ever. In this study, we carried out experiments step by step for development of recombinant insulin constructs, which were transformed into E. coli system, in vitro transcription and translation system, and tobacco cells. At first, recombinant proinsulin protein was successfully produced in in vitro transcription and translation system with wheat germ extract. After which, recombinant construct of prominiinsulin encoded a fusion protein of 7.8 kDa with trypsin cleavage sites at N terminus and C terminus of minimized C-peptide was tried to in vitro expression using E.coli culture. After purification with His-tag column, the resulting recombinant prominiinsulin protein was processed with trypsin, and then checked insulin biosynthesis by SDS-PAGE and western blot analysis with anti-insulin monoclonal antibody. The immunoreactive product of trypsin-treated miniinsulin was identical to the predicted insulin hexamer. The construct of 35S promoter-driven preprominiinsulin recombinant gene with signal peptide region for ER-targeting and red fluorescence protein gene [N terminus ${\rightarrow}$ tobacco E2 signal peptide ${\rightarrow}$ B-peptide (1-29 AA) ${\rightarrow}$ AAK ${\rightarrow}$ A-peptide (1-21 AA) ${\rightarrow}$ RR ${\rightarrow}$ His6 ${\rightarrow}$ KDEL ${\rightarrow}$ C terminus] was transformed into BY-2 tobacco cells. A polypeptide corresponding to the 38-kDa molecular mass predicted for fusion protein was detected in total protein profiles from transgenic BY-2 cells by western analysis. Therefore, this recombinant preprominiinsulin construct can be used for generation of transgenic tobacco plants producing therapeutic recombinant insulin.

By introducing an organic interlayer on the Parylene C dielectric surface, the electrical device performances and the operating stabilities of organic field-effect transistors (OFETs) were improved. To achieve this goal, hexamethyldisilazane (HMDS) and octadecyltrichlorosilane (ODTS), as the organic interlayer materials, were used to control the surface energy of the Parylene C dielectrics. For the bare case used with the pristine Parylene C dielectrics, the field-effect mobility (μFET) and threshold voltage (Vth) of dinaphtho[2,3-b:2',3'-f ]thieno[3,2-b]- thiophene (DNTT) FET devices were measured at 0.12 cm2V-1s-1 and - 5.23 V, respectively. On the other hand, the OFET devices with HMDS- and ODTS-modified cases showed the improved μFET values of 0.32 and 0.34 cm2V-1s-1, respectively. More important point is that the μFET and Vth of the DNTT FET device with the ODTS-modified Parylene C dielectric presented the smallest changes during a repeated measurement of 1000 times, implying that it has the most stable operating stability. The results could be meaned that the organic interlayer, especially ODTS, effectively covers the Parylene C dielectric surface with alkyl chains and reduces the charge trapping at the interface region between active layer and dielectric, thereby improving the electrical operating stability.
The blood clam, Tegillarca granosa, is economically important in marine bivalve and is used in fisheries industry among western Pacific Ocean Coasts especially in Korea, China, and Japan. The number of chromosomes in the blood clam is known as 2n=38, but the genome size and genetic information of the genome are not still clear. In order to predict the genomic size of the T. granosa, the in-silico analysis analysed the genomic size using short DNA sequence information obtained using the NGS Illumina HiSeq platform. As a result, the genomic size of T. granosa was estimated to be 770.61 Mb. Subsequently, a draft genome assembly was performed through the MaSuRCA assembler, and a simple sequence repeat (SSR) analysis was done by using the QDD pipeline. 43,944 SSRs were detected from the genome of T. granosa and 69.51% di-nucleotide, 16.68% trinucleotide, 12.96% tetra-nucleotide, 0.82% penta-nucleotide, and 0.03% hexa-nucleotide were consisted. 100 primer sets that could be used for genetic diversity studies were selected. In the future, this study will help identify the genetic diversity of T. granosa and population genetic studies, and further identify the classification of origin between homogenous groups.
A commercial gas field was found in the southwestern continental shelf of the Ulleung Basin, East Sea in the late 1990s. To develop additional gas field, an exploration well was drilled through the coarse infill of submarine canyon near the gas field, but it was uneconomic to develop hydrocarbons. Using newly acquired deep seismic reflection and previous well data, we have identified additional geological structure which has hydrocarbon potentials below submarine canyons in the southwestern margin of the basin. Based on the interpretation of the deep seismic reflection and well data, the sequences of the study area can be classified into the syn-rift megasequence(MS1), post-rift megasequence(MS2), syn-compressional megasequence(MS3), and post-compressional megasequence(MS4) in relation to the tectonic events. MS1, deposited simultaneously with the basin formation before the middle Miocene, is characterized by chaotic seismic facies with low- to moderate-amplitude and low frequency reflections. MS2 comprises laterally continuous, low- to moderate-amplitude reflections, showing progradational stacking patterns due to high rates of sediment supply during basin expansion in the middle Miocene. MS3 is mainly composed of continuous reflections with high amplitude and moderate- to high-frequency which are interpreted as coarse-grained sediments. The coarse-grained sediments of MS3 sequence is widely truncated by several submarine canyons which filled with fine-grained sediment of MS4 to form a stratigraphic trap of hydrocarbon. Therefore, the reservoir and seal of the hydrocarbon trap in the study area are coarse-grained sediment of MS3 and submarine canyon filled with fine-grained sediment of MS4, respectively. A flat-spot seismic anomaly, which may indicate the presence of hydrocarbon, is observed within the stratigraphic trap.

Multi-leaf collimator (MLC) systems are frequently used to deliver photon-based radiation, and allow conformal shaping of treatment beams. Many proton beam centers currently make use of aperture and snout systems, which involve use of a snout to shape and focus the proton beam, a brass aperture to modify field shape, and an acrylic compensator to modulate depth. However, it needs a lot of time and cost of preparing treatment, therefore, we developed the manual MLC for solving this problem. This study was carried out with the intent of designing an MLC system as an alternative to an aperture block system. Radio-activation and dose due to primary proton beam leakage and the presence of secondary neutrons were taken into account during these iterations. Analytical calculations were used to study the effects of leaf material on activation. We have fabricated tray model for adoption with a wobbling snout ($30{\times}40cm^2$) system which used uniform scanning beam. We designed the manual MLC and tray and can reduce the cost and time for treatment. After leakage test of new tray, we upgrade the tray with brass and made the safety tool. First, we have tested the radio-activation with usually brass and new brass for new manual MLC. It shows similar behavior and decay trend. In addition, we have measured the leakage test of a gantry with new tray and MLC tray, while we exposed the high energy with full modulation process on film dosimetry. The radiation leakage is less than 1%. From these results, we have developed the design of the tray and upgrade for safety. Through the radio-activation behavior, we figure out the proton beam leakage level of safety, where there detects the secondary particle, including neutron. After developing new design of the tray, it will be able to reduce the time and cost of proton treatment. Finally, we have applied in clinic test with original brass aperture and manual MLC and calculated the gamma index, 99.74% between them.
In recent years, extension of life span of buildings is becoming an important issue in our society. To improve the life span of buildings, rhamen structure construction and long-spanned structures are advantageous. And in order to achieve this goal, structural elements of buildings must be light and slender. As an alternative method, general porous slabs are used frequently domestically and internationally. But the study on the porous slabs using T-deck plate and assembly of light weight precast construction is insufficient at present. In this study, flexural and fatigue tests were performed on six specimens to verify structural performance and serviceability. The main parameters of the specimens were light weight and T-deck plate construction possibility as well as slab thickness. The test results indicated that the strength of porous slabs using T-deck plate and assembly of light weight were much better than general RC slabs and porous slabs without T-deck plate. And stiffness was much better than that of other tested slabs.
