This paper estimates the effects of generation mix changes in the $7^{th}$ and $8^{th}$ Basic Plan for Long-term Power Supply and Demand from two aspects: economic efficiency through electricity prices and environmental performance through $CO_2$ and air pollutants(NOx, SOx, PM) emissions. Particularly, we examined additional generation mix conversion paths that take into account the trade-off between economic efficiency and environmental performance through scenario analysis. According to our results, the conversion from the $7^{th}$ plan to the $8^{th}$ plan should increase the electricity prices in the mid- and long-term, while reducing GHG and air pollutants emissions at the same time. The alternative generation mix that combines $7^{th}$ and $8^{th}$ plans shows that there exists a path to mitigate the trade-off between economic and environmental in the long-term. It will be next to impossible to derive a optimal generation mix that simultaneously considers the core values, such as supply stability, environmental performance, economic efficiency, energy safety and energy security, when establishing the power supply and demand plan. However, by exploring the effects of various generation mix paths and suggesting near-optimal paths, people can best choose their direction after weighhing all the paths when deciding on a forward-looking generation mix in the long term.

The purpose of this study was to compare and analyze changes to the middle school mathematics textbooks of third mathematics curriculum period and seventh mathematics curriculum period. This study put the math curricula from the third to the sixth one in third mathematics curriculum period as those math curricula witnessed the maintenance of industrial society paradigm. And then it put the math curricula from the seventh one to current the 2009 revised mathematics curriculum in seventh mathematics curriculum period as the knowledge-based information society paradigm has continued throughout those math curricula. Based on those period categories, We compared and analyzed changes of the middle school math textbooks. For the comparison and analysis of math textbooks between the two periods, this study set the unit organization system, unit goal, task type and content development approach as analysis elements in the unit of 'Nature of Figures' in the second grade math textbooks for middle school. As a result of the research, it was confirmed that the textbooks of the two periods had many changes in the unit organization system, but the unit goal, task type, and content development approach stayed in low level goals and task type that require conceptual and procedural.

At the Information Age, the significant influence of computer education taking role of computer literacy education as well a information literacy education has been magnified. Since 2000, the 7th curriculum reform has been influenced on Korean education system. Therefore, this paper suggests to implement in textbook duvelopment of cumputer education based on the 7th curriculum reform focused on middle school education. It includes the design of textbook, its contents and organization, various teaching-learning situation method, and evaluation including real situational problems fashioned to the educational paradigm shift.

The basic tenet of science education by the 7th national curriculum for middle school students is teaching by learner's academic levels. It is a kind of new approach to both of teachers and students, but there has been little preparation in school fields for the new approach. Therefore, this study reviewed the characteristics and constraints of the approach, and suggested the types of learning methods for the approach. And then this study explored the guidelines for writing a lesson plan for the science education by the 7th national curriculum. Specifically, this study presented an example of lesson plan for a unit of middle school chemistry.

In this paper, we analyzed the utilization trend of technology in the secondary mathematics textbooks based on the 6th, 7th and 2007 revised mathematics curriculums in Korea. We analyzed 30, 60 and 90 mathematics books based on the 6th, 7th and 2007 revised mathematics curriculums respectively. The analysis focused on three aspects of using technology, i.e., contents areas in which technology used, technological tools and programs used, and methods of using technology in teaching and learning mathematics. The results shows that the frequency of using technology in mathematics books has been increased as mathematics curriculum has been revised. In the mathematics books based on th 6th curriculum, only 25 scenes were found, but in 7th and 2007 revised curriculum 248 and 355 scenes were found. In the 6th curriculum, calculators and graphing calculators were used mainly, but in the 7th and 2007 revised curriculum many kinds of technological tools and softwares were used including CAS, dynamic geometry software, spreadsheets, programming language, and the Internet. Especially the internet was used frequently in the 7th curriculum. And the methods of using technology has been diversified as time passed. In the 6th curriculum, the technology mainly used for introducing technology and simple calculation, but in the 7th and 2007 revised curriculum the technologies and software were also used for understanding mathematical laws, principles and concepts and students-centered exploring the mathematical properties.
