A Study on Way of Activating Plan of the Third Party Logistics in Domestic Area (국내 제3자 물류업(3PL)의 활성화 방안에 관한 연구)

  • Logistics service is a prerequisite for efficient market economy and to support the purchase and consumption by promoting smooth transport goods between economic actors. Especially, logistics activities of the company are the source of essential business activities and competitiveness, which is responsible for the production and distribution of products and services to be delivered to consumers. Domestic logistics companies have to resolve challenges such as petty status and low productivity, inefficiencies in the logistics industry system, limit the growth of third party logistics market according to the growth as 2PL central logistics companies, and absence of global leader in logistics enterprises. This study examines the definition and development of third party logistics and analyzes the domestic third-party logistics market conditions. Based on the former analysis, this paper presented separately the activated measures of domestic third-party logistics by corporate side, the supply side, and the government's policy support.

  • 최근 B2B 전자상거래 확산에 따른 물류문제를 해결하고 오프라인 물류와의 차별화롤 시도하기 위한 목적으로 다양한 물류측면의 대안이 제시되고 있다. 먼저 물류산업 자체의 e-business화를 추진함으로 기존 물류체계에서의 고비용 문제, 책임 소재가 불분명한 서비스 문제를 해결하고 운송정보의 실시간 제공을 통한 발주자, 화주자 간의 긴밀한 커뮤니케이션 형성과 해외시장을 겨냥한 글로벌 물류체계를 구축해야 한다. 다음으로 물류업종의 지나친 세분화, 기존 물류업체의 영세성과 혁신마인드의 부족, 그에 따른 제조 유통업체의 경쟁적 자가물류 확충의 악순환으로 제3자 물류시장 성장기반이 제한되어 오는 등 구조적인 문제점을 극복하기 위하여 주요 운송업체가 영세한 화주나 창고관리 위탁업무까지 대행하여 주는 지금까지의 제3자 물류 체제에서 대기업이 물류시장에 새롭게 진출하면서 사이버 물류시스템을 기반으로 기존 주요 운송업계와 VAN 사업자가 장악하고 있는 물류정보 서비스를 주도하는 제4자 물류체제로의 전환이 요구된다. 왜냐하면, SCM과 전자상거래 환경 하에서는 공급 망 내의 물류를 최적화하여 기업의 경쟁력을 강화하기 위해서 기능적 아웃소싱의 단계를 거쳐 물류기능의 통합과 운영의 자율권이 증대, 전체적인 공급연쇄 솔루션을 제공하는 서비스 제공자와 함께 기업의 경영자원, 능력, 기술을 관리하고 결합하는 공급연쇄 통합자로서 제4자 물류가 필요하기 때문이다. 이와 같은 제4자 물류체제가 본격 형성될 경우 물류정보와 인프라가 복잡하게 업혀있는 기존 물류산업이 재편되고, 특화된 물류솔루션을 바탕으로 한 산업별 물류체제 구축이 가속화될 것으로 예견되며, 일반기업 입장에서 물류부문의 아웃소싱이 촉진되어 물류산업기반이 확충될 수 있을 것이다.

  • This study outlines the current state of logistics in the country will be examined. In particular, the country's main development strategy, logistics 3PL as a development strategy is to look about. For the development of 3rd party logistics companies, shippers, and government efforts are needed. Looking at aspects of corporate strategy, First, the logistics company provides a benefit to the shippers should be able to. Second, the logistics company providing logistics services to create added value should be. Third, the integration of customized logistics services and logistics systems must be able to provide. Finally, a positive investment in human resources is needed. Fifth, the logistics must be enabled strategic alliances between companies. Sixth, the introduction and application of advanced Logistics should be actively. Corporate strategy perspective, shippers and 3rd party logistics companies that need to cooperate closely. Finally, The government should strive for the growth of 3rd party logistics companies.

  • The purpose of this study is to have a main change of korea logistics industry analysis and take in the whole situation and the characteristics about a logistics firms. In korean logistics industry, The rate of a carriage is among the low-level as compared with the increasingly high prices for diesel. besides, a national logistics cost and the sales in the transportation industry has increased steadily. On the other hand, the number of trucks and transfer companies has decreased steadily. This change is attributed to expansion of logistics firm size through the limit on a raise in the number of trucks and introduction of a direct consignment system. But medium and small logistics firm size is dwindling in numbers. In the meantime, 2PL since early 2000s has rapidly rose as powerful players in logistics industry by a strong Support of the parent companies. Government and academia have long noted the limit and problems of 2PL system and emphasize on the necessity of activating the 3PL system. So this study divided broadly into two groups that the primary characteristics of korea logistics industry are 2PL and 3PL. Through the results of this study, the management and financial perspectives mean that there is a considerable difference between 2PL and 3PL.

The growth of the Third Party Logistics (TPL) business has caused many firms from different industries to enter the field. In this study, it is presented to describe a defintion and development precess of the third party logistics and shown to present strategic issues comparing to third party in foreign and domestic area. and apply some issues of importance when managing the continued TPL business strategy in domestic area.

  • 철도소화물 부문의 택배시스템 도입은 원가절감이 가능하고, 경쟁력을 갖출 수 있는 장점을 갖추고 있으므로, 현실적으로 매우 필요하다. 택배시스템 도입은 철도청에서 제3자에게 위탁 운영케 하든지, 직접 운영하든지, 별도법인을 만들 수도 있다. 그러나 본고에서는 이러한 내용은 별도의 연구가 있어야할 것으로 보이므로 생략한다. 본고에서는 환경ㆍ제도적인 측면과 운영ㆍ시스템 측면에서 택배시스템을 도입하기 위한 대책방안 만을 강구한다. 본고는 철도소화물시장이 독점적으로 정부의 관할 하에 있기 때문에 철도소화물에 대한 연구가 국내에서 여러 전문가에 의하여 다양하게 전개되지 못하였다는 점이 취약점이다. 따라서 본고도 이러한 환경에서 폭넓은 연구사례를 제기하지 못한다는 한계가 있다. 그러나 설문조사나 인터뷰, 실증자료와 관련 기업과 단체의 내부자료를 통하여 이 문제를 극복하고자 노력하였다.

A Study on Improving Scheme and An Investigation into the Actual Condition about Components of Physical Distribution System (물류시스템 구성요인에 관한 실태분석과 개선방안에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to present an alternative improving the efficient and reasonable of the physical distribution system management is influenced by many factors. Therefore, the study depends on the documentary method and survey method to achieve the purpose of this study. The major components of a physical distribution system are refers to as elements, include warehouse·storage system, transportation system, inventory system, physical distribution information system. The factors used in this study are ① factor of product(quality·A/S·added value of product·adaption of product·technical competitive power to other enterprises), ② factor of market(market channel·kinds of customer·physical distribution share), ③ factor of warehouse·storage(warehouse design·size·direction·storage ability·warehouse quality), ④ factor of transportation(promptness·reliability·responsibility·kinds of transportation·cooperation united transportation system·national transportation network), ⑤ factor of packaging (packaging design·material·educating program·pollution degree measure program), ⑥ factor of inventory(ordinary inventory criterion·consistence for inventories record), ⑦ factor of unloaded(unloaded machine·having machine ratio), ⑧ factor of information system (physical distribution quantity analysis·usable computer part), ⑨ factor of physical distribution cost(sales ratio to product) ⑩ factor of physical distribution system(physical distribution center etc). The implication of this study can be summarized as follows: ① In firms that have not adopted a systems integrative approach, physical distribution is a fragmented and often uncoordinated set of activities spread throughout various functions with function having its own set of priorities and measurements. ② The physical distribution is recognized as more an important strategic factor than a simple cost reduction factor, ③ It can be used a strategic competition tool to enterprise.
