Impact of Fashion Brand Personality on Brand Preference and Purchase Intention - Comparison among Formal, Casual, Sports Brands - (패션브랜드개성이 브랜드 선호도 및 구매의도에 미치는 영향 연구 - 정장, 캐주얼, 스포츠 브랜드의 비교 -)

  • As industrial development standardizes the quality of products, people are increasingly attracted by a certain brand with intangible value. Consumers, surrounded by a variety of brand in a market, want to have relationships with specific brands reflected by their personality. Especially in fashion, brand personality is more important since products are highly involved in terms of personal emotion. The purpose of the study is to identify the dimension of overall fashion brand personality, to specify the 'Dimension of Fashion Brand Personality' according to fashion product categories (i.e., formal wear, casual wear, sports wear), and to investigate the effect of each dimension of fashion brand personality on brand preference and purchase intention. The results were as follows: Firstly, based on Aaker(1997)'s 'Big five factors' and selection fashion brand personality factors from our pretest, the fashion brand personality factors were verified as 'Fashionable/ Innovative', 'Sincere', 'Universal! Stable', 'Professional'. Secondly, according to fashion product categories, brand personality was defined as below. Brand personality for formal wear included 'Innovative/ Active', 'Stable', 'Professional', and 'Universal'. Brand personality for casual wear included 'Fashionable/ Innovative', 'Active', 'Sincere', and 'Stable'. Brand personality for sports wear included 'Innovative', 'Social', 'and 'Sincere'. Finally, overall fashion brand personality factors (' Sincere', 'Universal! Stable', 'Professional') influenced on brand preference and purchase intention. In formal wear, 'Professional' influenced on brand preference and purchase intention. In casual wear, 'Active' influenced on brand preference, but 'Fashionable' and 'Sincere' influenced on purchase intention. In sports wear, 'Sincere' influenced on brand preference and 'Innovative' influenced on purchase intention.

Analysis for Typicality of the Leading Brand by Evaluation of Brand Personality (브랜드 개성 평가를 통한 선도브랜드의 전형성 분석 연구)

  • This study investigated the typicality of the leading brand in a specific product category through comparison of personality evaluation. Measuring scales for brand personality was also used to measure the product category's personality which consumers expected generally. By pre-test, an instant coffee category was selected for product category. In the instant coffee category, three brands-'kanu', 'looka', and 'supremo'-were analyzed for this study. As a result, it was found that the leading brand, kanu had the typicality for the instant coffee category. Kanu had the same dimensions of brand personality, which were sincerity, competence, success, and sophistication, as the instant coffee product category had. Comparatively, looka had just three personalities -competence, sincerity, and sophistication-which were similar to personalities in the product category. And, supremo had only two personalities-sophistication and competence-which were similar to personalities in the instant coffee category.

  • 대부분의 현존하는 인터넷쇼핑몰은 평면적인 2차원으로 운영되고 있으나 최근 가상현실(Virtual Reality)을 이용하여 웹에 적용시키는 기법들이 속속 선보이게 되었다. 현재의 3D기술은 크게 사진 이미지를 기반으로 방식과 폴리곤(Polygon)을 기반으로 하는 3차원 모델링 기술의 두 가지로 구분할 수 있다. 이들 기법은 각각 장단점이 있으며 이들을 이용하는 사이트들 역시 이용하는 기법에 따라 다소간의 문제점들을 노출하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 사진 이미지 기법을 이용하는 부분은 현재 브라우저에서 기본적으로 지원하는 자바를 이용하여 구현했으며, 네비게이션이나 물체의 3차원 렌더링 구현 등은 java3d를 이용하여 상호간의 상반되는 단점들을 최소화하였다. 사용자는 Java3d로 구현된 3차원 쇼핑몰 내에서 원하는 물체를 클릭하여 위에서 언급한 2가지 방식으로 살펴볼 수 있다. 사진 이미지 형식으로 구현된 제품은 이미 실세계의 전자상거래 쇼핑몰에서 구현되었으며, 3차원 모델링으로 구현된 제품은 VRML97, OBJ, 3DS 등의 화일 포맷을 Java3d 로더를 이용하여 다양한 방식으로 구현하여 기존 방식과의 차별화 및 성능 향상을 꾀하였다.

The Effects of Commodities Dimensions and Service Dimensions on Repurchase Intention of Discount Store Apparel (할인점의 제품차원과 서비스차원이 의류제품 재구매의도에 미치는 영향)

  • The purposes of this study were to determine dimension of apparel expectations, performances and service quality of discount store and thereby, to analyze effect of apparel commodities dimension (expectations, performances, disconfirmation and satisfaction) and service dimension(service quality and satisfaction ) on repurchase intention. The subject were 363 women in the age of twenty to sixty years old who live in Seoul and the suburban of Seoul. The results of this study could be summarized as follows : It was found that discount score consumers' expectation and performance with apparel commodities were classified 2 factors of the function and expression. On the other hand, the dimensions of service quality were found to have such 4 factors as reliability, VMD, convenience, and facilities. 2. It was found that consumers' intention of repurchase of discount store were affected by such variables as disconfirmation and service quality. While less frequent users were affected by expectations and disconfirmation with apparel commodities, more frequent users were affected by such variables as disconfirmation, service quality and service satisfaction. Meanwhile, discount store users were found to be affected by disconfirmation, and off-price store users were affected by disconfirmation: and service quality. 3. More frequent users of discount store scored more on average than less frequent users in terms of expectation, performance, disconfirmation, and satisfaction with apparel commodities and intention of repurchase. On the other hand, off-price store users scored more on average than discount users in terms of expectation and performance with apparel commodities and Intention of repurchase.

  • 현재 제품의 보다 향상된 의장성과 기능성을 위해서 정밀한 자유곡면 형상의 제품에 대한 수요가 증가함에 따라 자유곡면 형상 제품의 효율적이고 정밀한 설계 및 가공과 함께 제품에 대한 수치 검사가 더욱 중요해지고 있다. 이러한 자유곡면 형상 제품의 예로는 금형, 헬리콥터 프로펠러, 비행기 날개 등이 있다. 이러한 제품의 설계 및 가공을 위해서 많은 CAD/CAM 시스템이 개발되었다. 수치 검사 분야에서는 기하학적으로 복잡한 제품에 대한 정밀하고 효율적인 검사를 위해서, 3차원 좌표측정기을 포함한 컴퓨터의 구동의 수치 검사 장비가 개발되고, 그러한 장비를 이용한 CAI 시스템사용이 다양한 분야에서 점차 증가하고 있다.

The Effects of Hedonic Aspect of Consumer Involvement on Purchase Behavior (소비자관여의 감성적 측면이 구매행동에 미치는 영향)

  • The level and motivational basis of consumer involvement have been recognized as having important effects on purchase behavior. To explore the importance of hedonic aspects of involvement upon consumer purchase behavior, survey data on involvement degree and type concerning 8 product classes from 388 respondents was analyzed. Major findings of this study are summarized as follow. First of all, hedonic factor is evidenced as an important component of consumer involvement. In addition, hedonic dimension of involvement is proved to have significant effects on consumer purchase behavior in general. Secondly, analysis of the difference in behavioral tendencies between purchasing product with hedonic value(coffee) and utilitarian motive(washing machine) shows that consumers have relatively high in degree of brand differentiation, brand commitment, product knowledge in purchasing product with hedonic value. This means that hedonic aspect of product and thus hedonic involvement has not less important in predicting consumer behavior. Finally, several interactive effects, which suppot to and conflict against the previous research findings, between level and type of involvement upon purchase behaviors are detacted. This implies that hedonically induced involvement has moderating roles in the effects of consumer involvement on purchase behavior.

  • 오늘날 많은 기업이 고객에게 보다 좋은 서비스를 제공하기 위해 서비스 분야에 큰 관심을 두고 있다. 제품이나 서비스에 대한 다양한 경험을 고객의 관점에서 제시한 구 매자 효용지도는 구매자 관점의 경험 사이클과 6가지 효용성 수단으로 이루어져있다. 6가지 효용성 수단을 사용한 구매자 효용지도는 제품이나 서비스의 질에 대한 객관 적인 평가를 가능하게 하여 신제품 개발 또는 제품 보완에 도움을 준다. 본 연구는 이 평가를 더욱 정확하게 할 수 있도록 6가지 효용성 수단을 서비스 품 질 차원으로 변경하여 새로운 구매자 효용지도를 만듦으로써 고객들의 인지도를 향상 시킬 수 있는 방안을 제시하였다.

Visualization of 3D STEP Geometry Data on the Internet (인터넷에서 3차원 STEP 형상정보의 가시화)

  • With the emergence of integrated global market and increased competition, many companies are interested in sharing the product model data. One of the solutions is to share the product model data over the computer network or the internet using a standard format. CAD/CAM, STEP, and internet technologies make it possible to share the product model data. This paper presents methods to visualize 3D STEP geometry data on the internet. To create an internet-based STEP model visualizer, the programming language Java and 3D scene description language VRML have been experimented. The STEP geometry data can be displayed either by Java applets of by a VRML browser. These visualization technologies are applied to a PDM development. Engineers who have a low cost web browser can share the expensive design information even at a remote site.

  • There has been a number of attempts to apply 3D CAD data created in the design stage of product life cycle to various applications of the other stages in related industries. But, 3D CAD data requires a large amount of computing resources for data processing, and it is not suitable for post applications such as distributed collaboration, marketing tool, or Interactive Electronic Technical Manual because of the design information security problem and the license cost. Therefore, various lightweight visualization formats and application systems have been suggested to overcome these problems. However, most of these lightweight formats are dependent on the companies or organizations which suggested them and cannot be shared with each other. In addition, product structure information is not represented along with the product geometric information. In this paper, we define a dataset called prod-X3D(Enhanced X3D Dataset for Web-based Visualization of 3D CAD Product Model) based on the international standard graphic format, X3D, which can represent the structure information as well as the geometry information of a product, and propose a translation method from 3D CAD data to an prod-X3D.
