본 논문에서는 초등학교 교육과정에서 교육목표로 다루고 있는 창의성이라는 주제와 학교현장에서 초등학생들에게 쉽게 접목시킬 수 있는 교육용 프로그래밍 언어인 LOGO 프로그래밍과 프랙탈 기하이론을 초등학교 컴퓨터교육에 활용하기 위한 방안을 제시한다. 향후 컴퓨터교육과정은 알고리즘과 프로그래밍 영역이 포함될 예정이며, 이러한 알고리즘과 프로그래밍 교육에는 교육용 프로그래밍 언어 사용이 필수적이며 이의 활용에 대한 연구가 시급한 상황이다. LOGO 프로그래밍과 프랙탈을 함께 지도함으로서 규칙성, 반복성, 유사성, 닮음 등 수학적 개념을 쉽게 이해하는 것이 가능하므로, 이를 활용하여 초등학교 수학과 교육과정에서 반드시 학습해야 할 도형, 측정, 규칙성과 문제 해결 영역과 연계하여 지도하면 좋은 효과를 얻을 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

컴퓨터 사용이 우리의 일상 생활이 되면서 컴퓨터 과학은 이미 우리 사회 여러 영역을 바꾸어 놓았다. 그리고 이런 관점에서 볼 때 컴퓨터 과학자처럼 사고하고 문제를 해결하는 능력인 Computational Thinking은 앞으로의 사회에서 나타날 문제를 해결하는 해결 방법이 될 것이고 미래사회를 살아가는데 필수 능력이 될 것이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 Computational Thinking의 정확한 개념을 살펴보고 초등교육에서는 어떤 부분에서 Computational Thinking을 찾아볼 수 있는 지 알아보고자 한다.

과학기술,사회(STS, Science and Technology in Society)란 과학과 기술을 역사적이고 사회학적인 시각으로 바라보자는 관점을 뜻한다. 이는 시민들이 이런 시각을 가져야 과학기술과 관련된 사회 쟁점에 대한 올바른 판단이 가능하다는 의미이다. 이를 위해 국가 교육과정체제 이후의 평생교육으로써 성인을 대상으로 하는 과학문화 소통 프로그램이 필요하다. 본 논문은 국내와 해외의 성인 대상의 과학 문화 프로그램을 분석하여 올바른 과학문화 소통을 위한 프로그램 과정은 어떤 모습으로 설계되어야 하는지를 제안한다. 제주대학교 과학기술사회연구센터(STS연구센터)에서 연구하고 있는 제주 특성을 활용한 과학기술문화교육 프로그램을 소개하고, 향후 정보과학 기반의 연구방향도 소개하고자 한다.

각 나라의 경쟁력은 기존의 자원이나 자본이 아닌 뛰어난 인재들의 두뇌에서 나올것이라는 앨빈 토플러의 말이 이미 현실이 되어 우수한 두뇌를 갖기 위한 치열한 전쟁의 시대가 전개되고 있다. 이에 우리나라가 21세기 첨단지식기반의 정보화 세계화 사회에서 국가 경쟁력을 확보하려면, 고급 인적자원을 조기에 발굴하여 체계적으로 교육하는 프로그램이 필요하다. 따라서 고도의 지식정보 사회에 적응하고 국가간 경쟁력에서 앞서나가려면 정보과학영역에서의 영재교육의 중요성이 커지고 있다. 이에 국가적인 차원에서 고도의 정보사회에 부응할 수 있게 17개 대학부설 과학영재교육원 및 여러 영재교육기관에서 정보과학 영재를 선발하여 교육하고 있다. 그런 의미에서 본 논문에서는 제주지역 대학부설 과학영재교육원과 다른 영재교육기관에서의 정보 영재 선발에 관련된 제반 사항 및 교육과정과 교육내용에 대하여 연구하여 보았다.

In order to secure the national competitiveness in the 21st century's frontier knowledge-based information and globalized society, Korea also needs programs to pick out advanced human resources early and educate them systematically. Therefore the education for the gifted in the information science area is very important, in response to the highly developed Information society, nationally, science-gifted education institutes attached to colleges and several institutions for gifted education have selected and educated the gifted in information science. Therefore, this study is intended to survey local elementary school teachers' awareness on elementary information education for gifted and talented students carried out in jeju by the Education Center for Science Gifted and Talented Students of jeju National University and other education institutions for gifted and talented students in the region and thereby suggest strategies for improvement of the education.

General education of university is facing the problem of failing to perform its original educational function compared to major education. The most urgent step in solving this problem lies in the evaluation of general education, which is currently designed and implemented by each university. Therefore, this study is aimed at developing the evaluation tool for university general education. This study determined the allotting of evaluation tools by verifying the relative importance among the evaluation index through the AHP analysis method, away form the simple list of the evaluation index, which is the limit of the precedent researches. The results of AHP showed that the organization of general education was the most important, while the latter was the implementation and evaluation of general education. The index determined to be the highest weighting of the total 22 indexes was "appropriateness of course organization" with "appropriateness of general education's purpose" being ranked second.
