An aircraft power distribution device distributes and controls the power generated by the generator and provides overcurrent protection. There are many defect phenomena that make AC power distribution impossible during flight, which poses a problem in because some electronic equipment cannot be operated. We describe a process of deriving the root cause of defects by using vibration testing equipment to simulate the vibration conditions during aircraft flight, which result in defects. The results show that the cause of the defect is internal wiring damage caused by the vibration of the contactor of the AC power distribution device. Therefore, the shape of the contactor was improved to solve this problem. We also improved the test procedure by performing defect detection tests using vibration testing equipment to detect a faulty contactor. As a result of the improvements, a component certification test and flight test proved that the defect phenomena of the AC electrical master box were improved.
Virtualization allows multiple virtual machines to share the resources of a physical machine in order to utilize idle resources. The purpose of virtualization is the efficient allocation of resources among virtual machines. However, the efficient allocation of resources is difficult because the workload characteristics of each virtual machine cannot be understood in the current virtualization environment. This causes performance interference among virtual machines, which leads to performance degradation of the virtual machine. Previous works have been carried out to develop a method of solving such performance interference. This paper introduces a representative method, a CPU scheduling method that guarantees I/O performance by using feedback control to solve performance interference. In addition, we compare and analyze a model-based feedback control method and a dynamic feedback control method.
In this paper, the perceptual rate control algorithm is studied for HEVC (High Efficiency Video Coding) encoder with bit allocation based on perceived visual quality. This paper proposes perceptual rate control algorithm which could consider perceived quality for HEVC encoding method. The proposed rate control algorithm employs adaptive bit allocation for frame and CTU level using the perceived visual importance of each CTU. For performance evaluation of the proposed algorithm, the proposed algorithm was implemented on HM 16.9 and tested for sequences in Class B under the CTC (Common Test Condition) RA (Random Access) case. Experimental results show that the proposed method reduces the bitrate of 3.12%, and improves BD-PSNR of 0.08dB and bitrate accuracy of 0.07% on average. And also, we achieved MOS improvement of 0.16 with the proposed method, compared with the conventional method based on DSCQS (Double Stimulus Continuous Quality Scale).

A bit-rate controller that can achieve a constant bit rate when coding object-based video sequences is an important part to achieve an adaptation to bit-rate constraints, desired video quality, distribution of bits among objects, relationship between texture and shape coding, and determination of frame skip or not. Therefore we design content-based bit rate controller which will be used for relevant bit-rate control. The implementation is an extension of MPEG-4 rate control algorithm which employs a quadratic rate-quantizer model. The importance of different objects in a video is analyzed and segmented into a number of VOPs which are adaptively bit-allocated using the object-based modelling. Some test sequences are observed by a number of non-experts and interests in each object are analysed. The initial total target bit-rate for all objects is obtained by using the proposed technique. Then the total target bits are jointly analyzed for preventing from overflow or underflow of the buffer fullness. The target bits are distributed to each object in view of its importance, not only of statistical analysis such as motion vector magnitude, size of object shape, and coding distortion of previous frame. The scheme is compared with the rate controller adopted by the MPEG-4 VM8 video coder by representing their statistics and performance.
The articulated structures seen in train or tram applications are being applied in road transportation systems, for use in mass passenger transit. When articulated vehicles are driven on public roads, they no longer follow a guided track. Therefore, there are a lot of control elements that need to be considered, such as turning radius, swept path width, off-tracking, and swing-out. Some of the currently available articulated vehicles on roads are equipped with an independent drive system; a system that has one motor at each wheel. Through this drive system, each wheel can be independently controlled, making precise and quick dynamic stability control possible. In this paper, we propose a torque distribution algorithm that can reduce the overall turning radius of the articulated vehicle, which has been verified through dynamic simulation.

The demand for eco-friendly and higher fuel economy vehicles has helped develop eco-friendly and fuel-efficient vehicles such as hybrid vehicles. In a hybrid vehicle, the change in the battery charge after driving should be added to the fuel consumption as the equivalent fuel usage based on its own characteristics. Thus, the fuel efficiency of a hybrid vehicle cannot be improved simply by increasing the battery capacity. In this study, I attempt to improve the total fuel economy of a hybrid vehicle, including the equivalent fuel consumption, by modeling a fuel cell hybrid vehicle using Matlab Simulink, analyzing the usage zone of the fuel cell with the existing control strategy, and optimizing the power distribution of the battery and fuel cell in the main usage zone of the fuel cell.
The major goal of this research is to use as a baseline guide for a flight model design of power system of next domestic communication satellite. For this purpose, the EPS(Electrical Power Subsystem) is designed to compliance performance requirements specified in EPS subsystem specification during all expected spacecraft operations. The regulated electrical power bus gives 42.5V to the various spacecraft loads from PCDU(Power Control & Distribution Unit) and the solar arrays are composed of 6
panel, each panel has 3 circuits including 7 string. The battery system is comprised of two batteries consisting of 26 IPV(Individual-Pressure-Vessel) NiH2 cells. Each battery can be capable of delivering 2878Watt-hours at a 80% maximum DOD(Depth of Discharge) based on the nameplate capacity of 150 amper-hours.

In this paper, we analyze previous flow control algorithm for serving ABR traffic, and then propose the algorithm which calculate fair transmission rate and control efficiently ABR traffic using VS/VD switch which has an effect on PNNI environment with long delay. For getting the transmission rate, the proposed algorithm use FMMRA as ER scheme which calculate exactly the fair share. And, in large delay state, we can obtain fair cell sharing by calculating transmission rates which obtained by transmitted queue length information of VD to VS for serve and drain cell in queue Through the computer simulation, we evaluate the performance of proposed algorithm, According to the results, the proposed algorithm shows good performance.
