The purpose of this study was to investigate high school students' ideas related with dinosaur extinction, to classify students' responses types with alternative hypotheses of inconsistent with their ideas, and then to examine their cognitive conflict levels and the degree of ideas change. To investigate students' ideas, we analyzed responses 98 eleventh graders of a high school in Anyang area. The results of this study were as follows: First, most of the students responded a large scale asteroid impact with the cause of dinosaur extinction, and rest of them responded changed Earth's climate accompanying tectonic activity, extreme volcanic activity, shortage of food, disease(virus) and decrease of their habitat. Also, they thought that dinosaur was exterminated not by just one reason but by several complex reasons. Second, the students' responses of alternative hypotheses were classified into six types: rejection, reinterpretation, uncertainty, belief decrease, partial theory change, and theory change. Third, except rejection and reinterpretation types, other four types were arousing of cognitive conflict and the percentage of the students who felt cognitive conflict was 62.3% and that of the students who took the theory change was just 6.1 %.

It is important to empirically investigate the typological characteristics of subway station areas considering the comprehensive elements of transit-oriented development (TOD) planning so that its implementation can be effective in attaining both increase in transit ridership and decrease in inordinate automobile dependence. This article aims to identify diverse features of subway station areas in Seoul known for good public transit system. After collecting and manipulating the measures on planning elements such as density, diversity and accessibility for TOD planning by distance-based buffer from a subway station, the article tried to interpret analysis results on their typological characteristics. They can be summarized with two conclusions. First, characteristics of landuse and public transit system can be distinctly differentiated in the Seoul subway station areas. It implies that both planning elements should have not been integrated for now. Second, the characteristics of public transit system can be divided by modes. They provide us that public transit system in Seoul needs to be more strongly integrated than current system.
In this study, we classified word problems related to real life presented in elementary mathematics textbooks into five types of context problems(location, story, project, scrap, theme) suggested by Freudenthal(1991), and applied context problems to mathematics class to analyze the influence on students' mathematical belief and attitude. Also, we examined the types of context problems preferred according to academic performance and the reasons of preference within a group experiencing context problems. The results of the study are as follows. First, almost lessons in the mathematics textbook presents word problems related to real life, but the presenting method is inclined to a story type. Also, the problems with a story type are presented fragmentarily. Therefore, although these word problems are familiar to the students, they don't include contextual meanings and cannot induce enough mathematical motives and interests. Second, a lesson using context problems give a positive influence on their mathematics belief and attitude. It is also expected to give a positive influence on students' mathematics learning in the long run. Third, the preferred types of context problems and the reasons of preference are different according to the level of academic performance within the experimental group.

Construction projects have high potentials of claims among a variety of stakeholders. Claims on their own are not disputes but they have high potentials leading to disputes if agreements are not made between parties due to conflicting opinions. In the event of the construction disputes between clients and contractors, it could give negative impacts to both parties and, to minimize or pro-actively manage construction disputes, the role of clients is more significant. The objective of the study is to analyze a level of associations between the types of disputes and causes of construction projects based on the association rule analysis, and to identify and discuss key characteristics and implications from client's perspectives. The study analyzes associations between the types of disputes and causes, and also identifies those with a high level of associations. It also presents the outcomes of more systematic analysis compared to descriptive statistics just based on frequencies. Through the analysis of the data cases, the study proposes the directions to resolve the causes of disputes from client's perspectives. It can assist to improve understandings of the relationships between the types of disputes and causes and to pro-actively manage the disputes of construction projects.
The term "conserved remains" refers to cultural remains that are preserved in accordance with the valuation of buried cultural properties when important remains are recognized in rescue excavations during construction work. South Korea's rapid economic growth and ensuing land development over the past few decades compelled a sharp increase in the number of rescue excavation cases, and, naturally, of conserved remains. Today, an increasingly large number of conserved remains have raised issues, including those concerning land expropriation as well as the management and utilization of such remains, but no clear solutions have been proposed. This study attempts to propose plans for improvement based mainly on the recognition of institutional issues rather than technical issues related to the conservation of cultural remains. This is because the identification and review of institutional deficiencies must be prioritized in order to efficiently manage conserved remains with limited resources and manpower. Among many possible proposals to demand improvement of conservation policies, one that must first be examined under the current system is the rapid transition, or review thereof, of "conserved remains" to "designated cultural properties." Unlike designated cultural properties, conserved remains are merely a temporary means of conservation, because they lack regulations for follow-ups subsequent to preliminary measures. Naturally, deferring the definition of relics as "conserved remains" for extended periods causes numerous problems. Measures to resolve such problems may include establishing a legal system to manage conserved remains at a level similar to designated cultural properties or seeking ways to improve management under the current system. This study focuses on areas where institutional improvement for conserved remains is possible by methods other than through the rapid transition to designated cultural properties and presents several proposals. Currently, conservation measures are divided into three categories: on-site conservation, relocation conservation, and record conservation. This study reclassifies these categories from three into four categories. On-site conservation includes only two categories: conserved remains and the newly-proposed soil-covered remains. Two remaining categories, the relocation conservation remains and the record conservation remains, are presented as classifications in which development projects are possible, and they are presented as alternative conservation types that contrast with on-site conservation. Unlike conserved remains, soil-covered conservation presented as a new category in which development projects are possible.
An analysis was done on the “inquiry sections” of Earth Science chapters of 10th grade science textbooks. The Inquiry sections were classified into different types and the frequencies of basic process skills, integrated process skills, and inquiry activities were measured in section to find out whether they sufficiently satisfy the requirements based on the 7th National Curriculum. The number of selected science textbooks that have been used in high school for this study were eleven. The number of inquiry tasks were on an average of 24.0. The types of inquiry sections and the elements of basic and integrated process skills were different in every textbooks. The number of inquiry activities were also different and analyzed more than those presented. They were not integrated activities but presented as scientific process skills. The basic process skills and integrated process skills presented in textbooks were $16\%\;and\;77.2\%$, respectively. However, the distribution of two kinds of process skills were analyzed to be $45.6\%\;and\;55.4\%$, respectively. In the process skills, the frequencies of inferring $(49.5\%)$ and data interpretation (68.7%) were the highest; however, the other process skills including recognizing problem, formulating hypothesis and generalization were not even presented in any of the text books. Due to the lack of the definitions of Science process skills and inquiry activities in the 7th National Curriculum, each text book defined these terms differently. It suggests that the meaning of inquiry, science process skills, and inquiry activities should be operationally defined in the national curriculum and the criteria for construction of inquiry activities are required.
The reliability of air quality evaluation results for green transportation could be improved by applying correct emission factors. Unlike previous studies, which estimated emission factors that focused on vehicles in laboratory experiments, this study investigates emission factors according to road types and time using real driving data. The real driving data was collected using a Portable Activity Monitoring System (PAMS) according to road types and time, which it compared and analyzed fuel consumption from collected data. The result of the study shows that fuel consumption on national highway is 17.33% higher than the fuel consumption on expressway. In addition, the average fuel consumption of peak time is 4.7% higher than that of non-peak time for 22.5km/h. The difference in fuel consumption for road types and time is verified using ANOCOVA and MANOVA. As a result, the hypothesis of this study - that fuel consumption differs according to road types and time, even if the travel speed is the same - has proved valid. It also suggests correction factor of emission factors by using the difference in fuel consumption. It is highly expected that this study can improve the reliability of emissions from mobile pollution sources.
Currently, road mobility improved from the National Road Improvement. Nevertheless delineation system is facility that enhanced driver's safety, that was set up often inconsistent or nonexistent over the road exit ramp So it judged functional investigation will be necessary. This study suggested setting type of the delineation system. That was based on a field study and reviews the legal standard of it and considering driver's cognition behavior. For the study, make a 3D-simulation and so could objectively a comparative test. Comparison variable between delineation setting type is selected conspicuity and visibility. Cased that illustrated characteristics of driver's visual cognition behavior. The experiment was used Eye Marker Recorder for measure the gaze frequency more quantitatively and objectively. And used the ANOVA analysis for significance testing between delineation setting type. A significant percent of the conspicuity analyzed types(Safe mark, Obstacle Sign, Warning Light, and Tubular Maker) in road exit ramp for recognize. And gaze frequency that measure of effectiveness of visibility are measured. On the analysis result, the visibility was significance difference between delineation setting type and visibility of types was best.
This Study aims to examine the differences in stress arising from clinical fieldwork of some of the students of occupational therapy department in accordance with the DISC behavioral style and the differences in the coping strategy. It is to provide basic data for the presentation of means of coping with stress that can occur at the time of clinical fieldwork in accordance with the behavioral styles of the students. As the results of the study, it was found that there are differences in the detailed items of clinical fieldwork stress in accordance with the DISC behavioral styles and differences in the strategy for copying with stress in accordance with the DISC behavioral styles. Therefore, there is a need to develop manual for fieldwork instructions and consultations in order for the students of occupational therapy department to cope with the clinical fieldwork stress at the time of clinical fieldwork by considering the behavioral styles of the students through additional researches in the future on the basis of aforementioned results of the study.

This study was conducted to establish practical goals for the viewing environment and interpretation and delivery system of cultural heritage and to create an viewing environment according to the classification of cultural heritage types, and the conclusions reached are as follows. First, five goals were set based on the international basic principles of the cultural heritage viewing environment and interpretation and delivery system. Second, based on the set goals, cultural heritage was classified into the first type 'disappeared and hidden heritage', the second type 'stuffed memory heritage', and the third type 'living memory heritage'. Third, the directions for creating the viewing environment for each type of cultural heritage were suggested. The first type has to be able to properly convey cultural heritage to visitors through excavation and digital technology. The second type needs a plan to deliver tangible and intangible values by combining various digital technologies with actual cultural heritage. The third type should emphasize the role of local residents in effectively enjoying the tangible and intangible values ??that already exist. Fourth, it proposed comprehensive considerations in the establishment of the cultural heritage viewing environment and interpretation and delivery system. Based on dynamic and sustainable heritage management, cultural heritage viewing should be valuable, satisfying and enjoyable. In addition, local communities should be actively involved, and tourism and conservation activities should be able to benefit the community. Establishment of a viewing environment should protect and strengthen the authenticity of cultural heritage.
