This study aims at applying Chaffee & McLeod's co-orientation model to Internet portal news providers and users to find out their mutual understanding toward various features of online news. Included in those features are interactivity, expansion of user role, larger choices(user characteristics), real time update of news, limitless quantity, contextualized contents through hypertext, data base service, and multimedia contents(contents characteristics). To test the level of agreement, accuracy and congruency between the parties, a survey was conducted among 105 portal news providers from 11 online news media, and 105 portal news users between ages 20 and 40. The result indicated that both portal news providers and users showed agreement for user characteristics, but by and large displayed either ignorance or partial congruency toward contents characteristics. Communication between portal news providers and users are thus exported to increase until it reaches the point where the internet's newly born identity as a news medium gets finally stabilized.

본 논문에서는 제안하는 AC(Attribute Certificate)를 이용하여 Web 상에서의 권한을 제어하는 방식은 기존의 아이디/패스워드 방식의 사용자 인증보다 좀더 안전하게 사용자에 대한 권한을 관리할 수 있다. 기존의 방식은 ACL(Access Control List)를 사용하여 권한 인증을 하기 때문에 서버의 자원을 낭비하게 된다. 본 논문에서 제한하는 방식은 Web상에서의 활동 시 AC를 이용하여 사용자를 인증하게 된다. 이러한 인증을 각 서비스 제공자 사이의 AC에 대한 양식을 공유하고 권한 정보를 공유함으로써 많은 서비스 제공자 사이의 DB 문제를 해결하고 제휴된 어느 서비스 제공자에게나 사용자가 자신의 AC를 제공하여 권한을 획득할 수 있다.

This study investigates the IPI (Information Protection Intention) of DHS (Digital Healthcare Service) providers by introducing PMT (Protection Motivation Theory). This study examines the effects of protection motivation, such as threat appraisal and coping appraisal, on IPI, such as ICI(Induction Control Intention) and SDI(Self Defense Intention). The research model, based on the PMT, adopted severity, vulnerability, reaction efficacy and self-efficacy as independent variables. The research model was validated through quantitative research, a survey of 222 DHS providers in South Korea, using structural equation modeling. The results show that (1) a clear awareness of the consequences of security threats increases the understanding of DHS providers on the severity of closure of healthcare information, and thus may decreases abuse of DHS by providers; (2) user confidence and satisfaction on the security system may make them be confident that they can handle the closure of healthcare information by themselves; and (3) although DHS providers are realizing the consequences of closure of healthcare information, they think that they are unlikely to encounter such situations. As a result of this study, venture companies that provide DHS need to provide contents that can continuously increase providers' security level in order to increase providers' information protection intention. It suggests that IPI is important through trust of healthcare service providers.

Computer based teaming system has considerable influence upon teaching technique and teaming efficiency. It is possible to make a learner-oriented teaching in the online learning system. In this case, it can provide easily and immediately learner with various information that relate to class status, for example, attendance, examination score and so on. In the case of conventional off-line education, however, it is inefficient to provide the information of class status for learners compared with on-line system. In this paper, we propose a monitoring system of class status which can provide various information of teaming status for learners, instructors and advisors. It is useful to advise student's course work and job. The main purpose of this system is to prepare a monitoring system of class status on a web based e-class system. It achieves self-monitoring systems which provide a feedback data as a result of class for students.

Internet service providers regulate the maximum data transmission rate of each user as a means to provide a tiered Internet access service or to avoid the monopoly of a few greedy users. In this paper, we aim to analyze the impact of this access rate regulation on the revenue of Internet service provider and the pricing strategy. We first propose a service quality model taking into account the access rate regulation, and analyze how the regulation affects the service subscription decision of users. In addition, we derive a sufficient condition that guarantees the stability of the revenue, and formulate an optimization problem that finds the optimal price to maximize the revenue.

It is important to retrieve effectively the visual media such as pictures and video in the internet, especially to the application areas such as electronic art museum, e-commerce, and internet shopping malls. It is also needed in these areas to have content-based or even semantic-based multimedia retrieval instead of simple keyword-based retrieval. In our earlier research, we proposed a semantic-based visual media retrieval framework for the effective retrieval of the visual media from the internet. It uses visual media metadata and ontology based on the web service to achieve the semantic-based retrieval. In this research, there are more than one visual media service providers and one central service broker. As a preliminary step to the visual media data retrieval, a method is proposed to retrieve the service providers effectively. The method uses the structure of the ontology tree to obtain the providers and their rankings. It also uses the size of sub nodes and child nodes in the tree. It measures the rankings of providers more effectively than previous method. The experimental results show the accuracy of the method while keeping compatible speed against the existing method.

최근 지리적으로 분산된 고성능 컴퓨터 자원을 네트워크로 상호 연동하여 사용할 수 있도록 하는 그리드 연구가 활발히 진행하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 Globus 툴킷에서 사용자에게 자원의 상태 정보를 서비스하는 MDS (Metacomputing Directory Service)에 링크의 대역폭이나 지연 시간 등의 네트워크 자원 정보를 제공하는 네트워크 정보 제공자를 개발한다. 이를 위해 Globus 툴킷의 MDS와 NWS 시스템을 분석하고, 이를 바탕으로 NWS의 센서 부분을 이용하여 네트워크 정보 스키마 정의, 정보 제공자 프로그램 작성, MDS 구성 파일 수정 등을 통해 네트워크 정보 제공자를 구현한다.

IT서비스 관리에 대한 국내 시장은 전문 SI기업들의 IT아웃소싱 사업 모델을 대상으로 한다. 국내 SI기업들은 전격적으로 IT아웃소싱을 선택하고 SLA를 체결한 그룹 관계사들을 대상으로 IT서비스를 제공해왔기에, 상대적으로 해외 open market에 비해 SLA 적용 효과에 대한 해석과 설명의 노력을 간과했다. 본 연구에서는 12개 고객 기업 사례를 바탕으로, S기업의 4개년간 서비스수준 관리 이력을 분석함으로써 IT서비스 제공자의 서비스 품질 제고에 기여한 서비스수준 관리의 효과를 규명하였다. 첫째로 서비스수준 관리 항목별 목표수준 설정의 효과, 둘째, 서비스 유형별 Target-time 설정의 효과, 셋째, 고객 기업의 사업 영향도에 따른 중요도 구분의 효과, 넷째, 제재와 보상의 적용을 통한 서비스수준 관리의 효과를 분석하였다. 본 연구는 고객 기업과 SLA 체결을 통한 IT서비스 제공자의 서비스수준 관리 효과를 수치적 결과로 입증했다는 데 의의가 있으며, 본 연구를 기반으로 한 후속 연구과제는 IT서비스 제공자의 서비스수준 관리를 통한 서비스 품질 제고 효과가 IT아웃소싱의 비용 절감 효과에 미치는 영향 분석이 되어야 할 것으로 기대한다.
