An Objective Performance Analysis of Crosstalk Cancellation Scheme for Sound Rendering Systems Based on Listener Position Tracking (청취자 위치정보 기반 Sound Rendering 시스템 상호간섭 제거기법의 객관적 성능분석)

  • In this paper, we conduct an objective performance analysis of the crosstalk cancellation scheme studied in [11]. While the conventional scheme is only applicable to a listener on the optimal listenable region (sweetspot), the space skew/crosstalk cancellation (SS/CC) scheme in [11] can mitigate crosstalk regardless of the listener's position by using listener position tracking (LPT) system. The SS/CC scheme is composed of two parts: LPT-based SS and CC parts. In this paper, the SS/CC scheme is evaluated by some criteria such as follows: condition number, and the balance characteristic, its root mean square error, and running average.

  • In this paper, we analyze the effects of interference canceller on the performance of multitone DS/CDMA system. Although there are various kinds of interference cancellers suggested by different researchers, we adopt a canceller used by Yoon et at.[9]. We consider three kinds of inteferences, that is, multiPath interference(MPI), interchannel interference(ICI) and multiple access interference(MPI). The equations for variances ate derived for the inteferences and thermal noise used for signal to noise ratio calculation. We also consider RAKE reception over multipath channel and three stage interference canceller used for performance improvement. We draw some conclusions that interference canceller is effective in multitone DS/CDMA system and the performance is further improved with the higer order of diversity and larger number of PN chips.

  • 부가적 백색 잡음 모델(additive white Gaussian noise, AWGN에서 학습된 깊은 신경만 (deep neural networks)을 이용한 잡음 제거기는 제거하려는 잡음이 AWGN인 경우에는 뛰어난 성능을 보이지만 실제 카메라 잡음에 대해서 잡음 제거를 시도하였을 때는 성능이 크게 저하된다. 본 논문은 U-Net 구조의 깊은 인공신경망 모델에 residual block을 결합함으로서 실제 카메라 영상에서 기존 알고리즘보다 뛰어난 성능을 지니는 신경망을 제안하다. 제안한 방법을 통해 Darmstadt Noise Dataset에서 PSNR과 SSIM 모두 CBDNet 대비 향상됨을 확인하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 케이블 고장 종류 및 위치를 탐지하는 기법으로 펄스 신호를 수열로 확신시켜 사용하는 STDR 기법의 측정성능 향상을 위해 인가신호 제거방식을 제안한다. 케이블의 고장위치가 가까워 인가신호와 반사 신호가 중첩이 되거나 반사 신호의 감쇠로 인해 고장종류와 위치추정이 어려울 때 제안한 인가신호 제거방식을 사용하면 고장위치 탐지성능을 크게 개선시킬 수 있음을 실험을 통하여 확인하였다.

  • 현대의 잡음이 많은 환경에서 적응 음향반향제거기는 배경잡음의 영향으로 원활한 통화환경을 제공할 수 없다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 음향반향 제거와 더불어 배경잡음을 제거하는 결합구조의 적응 음향반향제거기가 제안되었다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 결합구조가 가지는 단점을 보완하여 적응 음향반향제거기의 성능을 향상시켰다. 제안한 결합구조는 적응 음향잡음제거기의 기준입력 신호를 적응 음향잡음제거기의 오차신호와 같게 구성함으로서 배경잡음 신호뿐만 아니라 잔여반향 신호도 효율적으로 제거할 수 있다. 성능 평가를 위한 실험결과, 제안한 방법이 기존의 방법에 비하여 ERLE 성능이 수렴 구간에서 3㏈ 이상 향상되었음을 확인하였다.

NOx-removal and Sound-absorption Performances of Photocatalytic Porous Concrete Prepared by Various TiO2 Application Methods (TiO2 적용방법에 따른 포러스 콘크리트의 질소산화물 제거성능 및 흡음특성)

  • The present study investigates NOx-removal and sound-absorption performances of photocatalytic porous concrete prepared by various TiO2 application methods. Photocatalytic porous concrete samples were prepared by one of the following: 1) mechanically mixing TiO2 during casting; 2) mixing bottom ash aggregate pretreated with TiO2 during casting; and 3) spraying TiO2 solution to the normally fabricated porous concrete. The test results indicated that the mechanical mixing of TiO2 decreased the compressive strength as the added TiO2 content increased. The use of pretreated bottom ash aggregate reduced the porosity, yet the compressive strength of the concrete was similar to that measured from the former method. Porous concrete samples sprayed with the TiO2 solution exhibited enhanced compressive strength, while the porosity was analogous to those measured from other methods. The NOx-removal performance was the highest in the samples sprayed with the TiO2 solution, followed by the samples using pretreated bottom ash aggregate and mechanically mixed TiO2. The samples with mechanically mixed TiO2 identified a relationship between soundabsorption performance and porosity. However, no particular tendency was observable in the samples with other TiO2 application methods.

  • This paper shows the performance of a multiuser detection DS-CDMA receiver based on of the hybrid scheme of parallel interference cancellation (PIC) and successive interference cancellation (SIC). The proposed hybrid interference cancellation is presented and is compared with existing PIC, SIC and Hybrid It of other type schemes. The performance criteria used for comparison are complexity, delay and average bit error rate (BER) performance obtained by simulation in Rayleigh-fading channel (Jake's model) with additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN). In the proposed hybrid IC, the BER performance approximates the one of SIC and the delay is half of the SIC. And the number of cancellation of the hybrid It is reduced about a fourth.

  • In this paper, we introduce a modified interference cancellation scheme to overcome MAI in DS-CDMA. Among ICs(Interference Cancellers), PIC(Parallel IC) requires the more complexity, and SIC(Successive IC) faces the problems of the long delay time. Most of all, the adaptive detector achieves the good BER performance using the adaptive filter conducted iteration algorithm. so it requires many iterations. To resolve the problems of them, we propose an improved adaptive detector that the received signal removed MAI through the sorting scheme and the cancellation method are fed into the adaptive filter. Because the improved input signal is fed into the adaptive filter, it has the same BER performance only using smaller iterations than the conventional adaptive detector, and the proposed detector having adaptive filter requires less complexity than the other detectors.

  • In this paper, a new pre-processing algorithm is proposed to improve the performance of stereo acoustic echo canceller. The proposed algorithm has the improved performance by the estimation error reduction of filter coefficient using input signal which was reduced reverberation of room in the basis MINT (Mu1tip1e-input/output Inverse Theorem) filtering. For real stereo speech signal and real room impulse response the results of simulation, we showed that the proposed method could improved 3∼5 dB ERLE (Echo Return Loss Enhancement) regardless of NLMS (Normalized Least Mean Square) and Projection adaptive algorithm.

In this paper, DS-CDMA/TDMA frequency sharing system have been analyzed in AWGN(Additive white Gaussian Noise), MAI (Multi Access Interference) and NI(Narrowband Interference) environment. Also, performance improvement has been obtained by adopting an adaptive notch filtering scheme using complex filter bank and CCI canceller.
