A Development of Traffic Queue Length Measuring Algorithm Using an Image Processing Based Voting Technique (영상처리 기반의 Voting Technique를 이용한 대기길이 계측 알고리즘 개발)

  • 본 연구에서는 신호제어 및 ITS 분야에 활용하기 위한 검지 시스템을 구성하기 위 한 알고리즘의 하나인 대기 행렬 계측 알고리즘을 개발하였다. 본 연구에서는 대기열의 속 성을 standing queue와 moving queue로 구분하여, 각 속성에 따라 대기열의 발생지점을 계측한다. 알고리즘의 평가는 아주대학교 앞 4지교차로의 한 접근로에서 실시되었다. 평가 항목으로는 오차율과 통계적 검정을 실시하였으며, standing queue와 moving queue에 대 하여 주·야간 각 50개씩 sample을 가지고 실시하였다. 평가 결과 standing queue는 주·야 간 모두 비교적 우수한 것으로 평가되었으나, moving queue는 미흡한 결과를 나타내어, 좀 더 보완이 필요한 것으로 나타났다. 대기열의 속성을 standing queue와 moving queue로 분리함으로써 접근로의 상황을 더욱 정확하게 판단할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

  • Even though, the Korean private Security Guard's industry is developing, it did not reached at the expected quality services because of the below cost tendering from flooded small security companies, consequently low pays and fragile benefits occur therefore, the skill level and morale decreased. Also, the private security guards field's education, training and development of expert certification system is not enough. One of the plans to solve these problems can be invigorate the certification system. The improving ways are suggested after the research and the analysis of the certification system as below. First, the qualification system to become a security leader will need to add directly related subject, skill examination and continuous refresh training. Moreover, it needs accurate needed the number of the securities and the reduction of the 1st examination exemption object. Second, the qualified system to be become securities will need to strengthen on standard of qualification and focus on skill evaluation, the job education need to state by the law, also exemption for applicant who approached requirements.

Detection of Mycoplasma-like Organisms in Some Trees by Fluorescence Microscopy with Berberine Sulphate (Berberine Sulphate를 이용(利用)한 형광현미경기법(螢光顯微鏡技法)에 의(依)한 수목(樹木)마이코플라스마검정(檢定))

  • The efficacy of berberine sulphate, a fluorochrome having binding properties with both DNA and RNA, was investigated for the detection of mycoplasma-like organisms(MLOs) in jujube(Zizyphus jujuba), paulownia(Paulownia tomentosa), mulberry(Morus alba) trees and periwinkle (Catharanthus roseus) plant. When examined under fluorescence microscope, berberine sulphate-stained sections of diseased samples showed distinct MLO-specific fluorescent particles in the phloem area, while such fluorescence was absent in the healthy ones. This staining technique was proved to be a very accurate method for the diagnosis of MLO infections in woody and herbaceous plants. Furthermore, the cheap and easy procedure could be used to test a great number of samples on MLO infections with reliability and rapidity.

News Impacts and the Asymmetry of Oil Price Volatility (뉴스충격과 유가변동성의 비대칭성)

  • Volumes of research have been implemented to estimate and predict the oil price. These models, however, fail in accurately predicting oil price as a model composed of only a few observable variables is limiting. Unobservable variables and news that have been overlooked in past research, yet have a high likelihood of affecting the oil price. Hence, this paper analyses the news impact on the price. The standard GARCH model fails in capturing some important features of the data. The estimated news impact curve for the GARCH model, which imposes symmetry on the conditional variances, suggests that the conditional variance is underestimated for negative shocks and overestimated for positive shocks. Hence, this paper introduces the asymmetric or leverage volatility models, in which good news and bad news have different impact on volatility. They include the EGARCH, AGARCH, and GJR models. The empirical results showed that negative shocks introduced more volatility than positive shocks. Overall, the AGARCH and GJR were the best at capturing this asymmetric effect. Furthermore, the GJR model successfully revealed the shape of the news impact curve and was a useful approach to modeling conditional heteroscedasticity.

An Approach to Structuralizing Business Information for Internet Shopping Malls (인터넷쇼핑몰의 사업자신원정보 구조화 방안)

  • While on-line shopping is increasing, the "Consumer Protection Law in Electronic Commerce" obliges each internet shopping mall to provide its business information. Although most internet shopping malls provide their business information in the semi-structured format on the bottom of their homepages, the attributes and expression forms of business information are different each other. It makes consumers difficult to identify their business information and lowers public confidence. Hence this study proposes three approaches - HTML-based structure, XML-based structure, and XML data island-based structure - to structuralizing business information for correct expression. The experiment results showed that the business information extraction time by XML data island-based structure is independent of the size of the web document, while the time by HTML-based structure is dependent on the size. By comparing the business information extraction times, we show that XML data island-based structure is more efficient and effective than HTML-based structure.structure.

Analysis of Replacement Cycle by Eyeglasses Scratches in Daily Life (일상생활 속 안경렌즈 흠집에 의한 교체주기 분석)

  • This study were to investigate the scratches and replacement cycles of eyeglasses according to personal characteristics in daily life. The subjects were 58 people who voluntarily participated in this study. The replacement cycle of eyeglasses according to the contact of eyelashes with eyeglasses, type and the number of eyeglasses wiped on a day were analyzed. The statistical analysis were performed by X2 test and Fisher's exact test. The average replacement cycle of the eyeglasses were longer females than males. The eyeglasses replacement cycle were significantly shorter when the eyelashes contacted the eyeglasses and when the eyeglasses were wiped using a tissue or clothes other than the eyeglasses towel. The coating film of the eyeglasses may be damaged by the convergence effect such as eyelashes or minor carelessness in daily life, and this study will continue to follow up on this result.

Serological detection of barley stripe mosaic virus infection in the seeds of barley and wheat cultivars grown in Korea (혈청학적방법에 의한 보리와 밀종자의 보리${\cdot}$줄무늬 모자이크 바이러스 감염상조사)

  • An attempt was made to find out whether barley stripe mosaic virus (BSMV) occurs in barley and wheat cultivars in Korea. Modified Hamilton's technique for serological detection of barley stripe mosaic virus was used to assay for BSMV in mature seed embryos. Of the 51 barley and wheat seed lots assayed, BSMV was detected in 34 of them. BSMV was detected in covered, naked, and matting barley as well as in wheat. The level of BSMV infection in the infected cultivars varied from $2\~35\%$. This is the first reported occurrence of barley stripe mosaic virus in Korea.

  • In the present study, the interior orientation parameters were computed by using various kinds of methods. Five DSMs (Digital Surface Models) in total were produced by applying interior orientation parameters to the image processing, and the accuracy was evaluated. In order to use interior orientation parameters as independent variables of DSM accuracy, flight parameters and exterior orientation parameters that can affect the accuracy of DSM were set to be the only fixed variables. From the results of the present study, the RMSE of campaign 3-2 was found to be 0.0305 m, which was the most favorable result. Thus, it is advisable to produce DSM by adjusted interior parameters after figuring out the interior orientation parameters using a camera calibration program at laboratory environment.

  • Accurate predictions of software release times, and estimation of the reliability and availability of a software product require quantification of a critical element of the software testing process : test coverage. This model called Enhanced non-homogeneous poission process(ENHPP). In this paper, exponential coverage and S-shaped model was reviewed, proposes the Kappa coverage model, which maked out efficiency application for software reliability. Algorithm to estimate the parameters used to maximum likelihood estimator and bisection method, model selection based on SSE statistics and Kolmogorov distance, for the sake of efficient model, was employed. From the analysis of mission time, the result of this comparative study shows the excellent performance of Burr coverage model rather than exponential coverage and S-shaped model using NTDS data. This analysis of failure data compared with the Kappa coverage model and the existing model(using arithmetic and Laplace trend tests, bias tests) is presented.

  • The objective of this paper is to investigate the optimal Robust estimation and scale estimator that could be used to treat the gross errors in a self calibrating bundle adjustment. In order to test the variability in performance of the different weighting schemes in accurately detecting gross error, five robust estimation methods and three types of scale estimators were used. And also, two difference control point patterns(high density control, sparse density control) and three types of gross errors(4$\sigma o$, 20$\sigma o$, 50$\sigma o$) were used for comparison analysis. As a result, Anscombe's robust estimation produced the best results in accuracy among the robust estimation methods considered. when considering the scale estimator about control point patterns, It can be seen that Type II scale estimator provided the best accuracy in high density control pattern. On the other hand, In the case of sparse density control pattern, Type III scale estimator showed the best results in accuracy. Therefore it is expected to apply to robustified bundle adjustment using the optimal scale estimator which can be used for eliminating the gross error in precise structure analysis.
