Gou Gu Shu in the 18th century Chosun (18세기(世紀) 조선(朝鮮)의 구고술(句股術))

  • We investigate the Gou Gu Shu(句股術) in Hong Jung Ha's Gu Il Jib(九一集) and Cho Tae Gu's Ju Su Gwan Gyun(籌書管見) published in the early 18th century. Using a structural approach and Tien Yuan Shu(天元術), Hong has obtained the most advanced results on the subject in Asia. Using Cho's result influenced by the western mathematics introduced in the middle of the 17th century, we study a process of a theoretical approach in Chosun mathematics in the period.

  • 농림부는 지난달 축산법 제 20조의 5 및 동법 시행규칙 제25조의 2제3호의 규정에 의하여 가축사육시설 단위면적당 적정 가축사육기준과 축산법 제2조1호 및 동법 시행 규칙 제2조제4호의 규정에 의하여 사육하는 동물중 가축의 범위에 해당하는 기타 동물을 고시했다. 다음은 고시된 내용을 정리한 것이다.

  • The effect of applied stress, current density and heat-treatment after welding on the time to fracture, fracture behavior was investigated by the method of constant load tensile testing under catholic charging with hydrogen in E.B. welded 250,300 Grade 18% Ni Maraging steel sheet. The main results obtained are as follows: 1. All specimen showed the characteristic delayed failure and the time to fracture showed decreasing tendency with the increase in current density and applied stress. 2. Hydrogen embitterment susceptibility of notched specimen after solution-treatment and aging after welding was more increased than that of aged smooth specimen and as welded specimen. 3. Fracture surface showed a typical intergranular fracture on the border, a dimple pattern in the center of specimen and some quasi-cleavage fracture between the intergranular and the dimple.

  • 영구자석을 삽입하는 IPM(Interior Permanent Magnet : 이하 IPM) 방식의 동기전동기 설계에서 브리지의 형상 결정은 기계적인 안정성을 확보하고 출력 요구사양을 만족시키기 위해 구조해석과 자기회로 해석을 병행하여 검토하는 것을 요구한다. 본 논문에서는 IPM타입 동기전동기를 대상으로 회전자 원심력이 정적상태로 인가되는 정하중 조건과 속도변화가 시간에 따라 변하는 동하중 조건일 경우를 구분하여 설계 여유를 분석하였으며, 영구자석의 접착여부에 따라 브리지에 발생하는 응력 분포의 차이를 해석하였다. 또한, 동하중 상태에서 재료의 응력-피로 특성을 통해 피로 한계 조건을 설계단계에서 예측하였다.

Strength Evaluation of Adhesive Bonded Joint for Car Body (차체접합과 관련한 접합 강도 평가)

  • The evaluation of joint fatigue strength of light weight materials for electrical vehicle body has been performed through single lap joint tests with the design parameters such as joint style, adherend, bonding overlap length and bonding thickness. Fatigue strength was evaluated through 5-Hz, tension-tension, load controlled test with the stress ratio zero value. It is experimentally observed that fatigue strength of joint increases for the increase of overlap length. The combinations of Al-Al and Al-FRP adherends show that fatigue strength of joint is hardly changed for the increase of bonding thickness, but FRP-FRP adherend specimen shows that fatigue strength of joint increases after decreases for the increase of bonding thickness. Al-Al adherend specimen has much higher fatigue length than Al-FRP and FRP-FRP adherend specimens. Riveting at adgesive bonded joint gives little effect on fatigue strength.

  • Investigating constructions of equations by Gou gu shu(勾股術) in Hong Jung Ha(洪正夏)'s GuIlJib(九一集), Nam Byung Gil(南秉吉)'s YuSiGuGoSulYoDoHae(劉氏勾股術要圖解) and Lee Sang Hyuk(李尙爀)'s ChaGeunBangMongGu(借根方蒙求), we study the history of development of Chosun mathematics. We conclude that Hong's greatest results have not been properly transmitted and that they have not contributed to the development of Chosun mathematics.

Development of Construction and Painting Technology for the Aluminum Carbody of Rolling stock (알루미늄 철도차량 차체 제작 및 도장 기술 개발)

  • Based on the development of designed technology for aluminum carbody. the prototype aluminum carbody has been constructed. All extrusion profiles required for the carbody has been produced and their quality has also been proven. For sound construction. welding technology to join aluminum extrusion profiles has been developed and jigs for precise assembly of blocks have been made. The aluminum carbody for urban subway train has been completed with the required chamber being set and the welding deformations being constrained by jigs. The safety of the carbody structure has also been proven by the static load test. And also, painting technology has been developed and the surface of the carbody has been pre-treated and painted. The developed technology to construct the aluminum carbody can be used in mass production of aluminum cars ordered by domestic and foreign customers.

  • In this study, with 2% of total PVA fiber volume fraction identically, flexural performances of ECC had long and short fibers were assessed. In the material tests, flexural properties of a mixture with 1.6% REC15 and 0.4% RF4000 were most superior. Quasi-static and dynamic tests with six 160${\times}$290${\times}$2300 mm specimens were carried out, and improvement of shear strength and performance of partial placing of ECC were estimated.
