This study was done to identify the levels of knowledge and attitude toward HIV/AIDS in professional graduate medical school students. A cross-sectional survey was used, and data were collected in 2014. Participants were 97 students in South Korea. Data were analyzed using SPSS WIN 19.0 program. The mean score for HIV/AIDS knowledge was 8.91 and attitude was 7.00 out of 15. The levels of HIV/AIDS knowledge and attitude were not statistically significantly different according to participants' general characteristics. There was a statistically significant correlation between the levels of HIV/AIDS knowledge and attitude. Medical students having a high HIV/AIDS knowledge level tended more towards a positive attitude. These findings can be used in developing effective education strategies for medical students and health care providers to increase knowledge and decrease negative attitude toward HIV/AIDS.

The purpose of this study is to examine the eco-systemic factors that affect the care givers' job satisfaction, and to attain the real data that is useful for increasing the care givers' job satisfaction. The subjects were 195 care givers who involved in long-term care service center in D city. Collected date were analyzed through frequency, percentage, correlation and hierarchical regression analysis. The results are as follow. The factors that affect the care givers' job satisfaction are the age of care givers, the levels of self-esteem, the respect from client, and the levels of support received from friend. The implication of our findings is that for the puporse or increasing the care givers' job satisfaction, the education programs for the care givers and client are necessary.

This study was performed to examine the relationship between dependence of elderly peritoneal dialysis patients and burden on family caregivers. The subjects for this study were 50 elderly patients on Continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis(CAPD) who were registered in a hospital in Seoul and 50 their family caregivers. The data were collected from April 4 to August 15, 2011. The collected data were analyzed by the SPSS WIN 12.0 program. The mean score of dependence was 139.6 which means their experience of high level dependence. The mean score of burden was 84.2 which means their family caregivers experience of high level burden. Positive correlation was found between dependence of elderly peritoneal dialysis patients and burden on their family caregivers (r=.61, p=.000). It is considered that the study emphasizes for the healthcare providers to recognize dependence as the important nursing issue for elderly CAPD patients. And it is necessary to develop an nursing intervention for decreasing dependence of elderly CAPD patients and burden on their family caregivers.

The purpose of this research is to investigate the relationship between global citizenship, self leadership and global health competencies in nursing students and utilize the basic data for development of educational program to increase of global health competence. A convenience sample of 207 subjects were invited from three university. Data were analyzed using t-test, ANOVA and Pearson's Correlation with SPSS PC 18.0 program. Global health competencies showed that there were differences according to religion, taking education related to global health competency, exposure to mass media about global health. There were a significant positive correlation of global citizenship(r=.364, p<.01), self leadership(r=.372, p<.01) and the global citizenship of nursing students showed a significantly positive correlation of self leadership(r=.463, p<.01). Therefore, on the result of this study, when we develop the educational programs to increase the global health competencies for nursing students, we have to include global citizenship and self leadership.

The purpose of the study was to investigate the effects of nordic walking on body composition and physical fitness in obese women with intellectual disability(ID). The subjects in experimental group(n=12) participated in nordic walking program for 12 weeks while those in control group(n=9) was controled not to participate in physical activities. After the training, weight, muscle mass and fat mass% showed significant improvement in experimental group. In physical fitness, strength, balance and coordination in experimental group showed significant improvement. In conclusion, these results suggest that nordic walking can be recommended as an effective intervention program to change body composition and to improve physical fitness in obese women with ID.

This study was conducted to examine the oral health awareness, needs of dental treatment and the oral and maxillofacial pains targeting pneumoconiosis patients of care hospitals for the purpose of providing basic data for preparing a plan to improve the oral health of patients plagued with pneumoconiosis. As the subjects of survey, total 120 patients who have agreed to the research among the patients of three care hospitals, were enrolled between March and July in 2015. As the result of the study on the factors that influence the oral health perception, it was verified that the persons of an average monthly income of 2 million won or more, were shown to have significantly better oral health awareness than the subjects of monthly earning of less than 2 million won (p<0.05), thus showing that the oral health awareness by the people of monthly income of more than 2 million won, was 0.77 times higher compared to the others. Therefore, in order to improve the oral health awareness of pneumoconiosis patients, the economic stability of the patients should be taken into account as a priority when examining the oral health policy decisions and it was recommended that the survey and research on the oral health of patients with pneumoconiosis can be done in amore systematic manner.

In recent years, inclusion of students with disabilities in regular classrooms and special classrooms in mainstream schools has been a major stream of special education. However education for teacher librarians in Korea has not been responsive to these trends. A few of departments of library & information science in Korea universities offer courses that include information about special needs students. This study addressed the implications of inclusive education, the roles of school library and the training needs of teacher librarians for service to special needs students. And it analyzed tendency and current states of teacher librarians education on inclusive education. As a result, it is recommended that departments of library & information science in Korean universities offer more courses concerning educational support for special needs students in their curriculum and include of special modules in their most of courses offered to enhance the skill of future teacher librarians to cater for special educational needs.

Critical thinking includes creative thinking, open-mindedness, inquisitiveness. Critical Thinking Disposition was significantly higher in experimental group that was enhanced by the scenario-based learning contents than that of the control group(t=4.102, p<.001). Problem Solving process was significantly higher in experimental group that was enhanced by the scenario-based learning contents than that of the control group(t=5.082, p<.001). However, there was no significant difference between the two groups in Clinical Competence(t=2.646, p=.009). But experimental group was significantly higher score than that of the control group score decreased. These results support that the implementation of a scenario-based learning contents need to be continued as an effective educational material but we need more research to establish how this can be effectively implemented in a students' practicum.

The objective of this study was to investigate the degree of interpersonal relationship in nursing students according to their characteristics. This descriptive correlation study conducted visit-surveys with organized questionnaires and sampled 306 nursing students. Data was analyzed by t-tests, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficients and multiple regression analysis using SPSS/WIN 14.0. Findings revealed that; 1) the degree of interpersonal relationship in nursing students according to their characteristics were significantly different in age and grade; 2) Pearson's correlation revealed a significant association among interpersonal relationship, family function and self-differentiation; 3) multiple regression analysis showed self-differentiation and family function significantly influenced interpersonal relationship in nursing students. Based on the findings of this study, nursing professionals should provide proper program of interpersonal relationship related to self-differentiation and family function.

This study was conducted to investigate the cultural sensitivity and stereotype about immigrant women among nursing students. The participants in this study were 144 nursing students Data were collected from May to June 2013. The mean age of subjects was 21.8 years old. 68.1% of subjects had have experiences to travel abroad. Many subjects(90.3%) reported that multi-cultural education was needed. 66.0% of subjects met foreigners at clinical place among practice period. The cultural sensitivity and stereotype were middle range. It suggested that to prepare for the coming era of globalization, and to increase the nursing students' cultural sensitivity, a transcultural nursing curriculum needs to develop for appropriate and effective services in cross-cultural situations of the multicultural families in Korea.
