Dynamic Performance of HVDC according to Excitation System Characteristics of Synchronous Compensator in a Weak AC System (약한 계통에서 동기조상기의 여자 시스템에 따른 HVDC 시스템의 과도 성능 분석)

  • This paper analyses with the dynamic performance of HVDC System connected to a weak AC system for varying exciter characteristics of synchronous machines connected at the converter bus. Conventionally capacitors are used to supply reactive power requirement at a strong converter bus. However the installation and synchronous machine is essential in a isolated weak network to re-start after a shutdown of HVDC and to increase strength. The dynamic performance of a synchronous machine depends on the characteristics depends on its exciter characteristics. In this paper, several excites types are used to investigate their effect on the dynamic performance of the HVDC system and modifications to standard exciter topogical are suggested to mitigate observed problems.

  • Kinematic GPS surveying which can be obtained many three-dimensional topographical informations through a short-time measurement is being utilized mainly in the short base line of a few km and below The coordinate for the long base line depends on Static GPS surveying But it needs long time measurement. Therefore, the method which can decide a position of the long base line for a short time is being needed. To examine a possibility of an efficient use of kinematic GPS surveying of the long base line, this research has analysed an accuracy of the base line by static GPS surveying according to baseline distance, ephmeris, and observation time. As the results of research, I could see that accuracy was very low in case of the occurrence of cycle slip. When we use of precise ephmeris, we obtained 1ppm and less of accuracy with one-minute kinematic GPS surveying within 70km. If a lot of studies about the long baseline kinematic GPS surveying are processed, a topographical information necessary for each kind of construction field including land development could be utilized more efficiently.

  • Wheel for passenger car support the car weight with tires, and they transmit rolling and braking power into the ground. Whittling away at wheel weight is more effective to boost fuel economy than lighting vehicle body structure. A shape of hole in disk is optimized for minimizing the weight of steel wheel. Pro/ENGINEER program is used for formulating the design model, and ANSYS package is selected for analyzing the design model. It has difficulties to interface these commercial software directly. For Combining both programs, response surface methodology is applied to construct approximation functions for maximum stresses and maximum displacements are obtained by full factorial design of five levels. This steel wheel is modeled in 14-inch diameter of rim, and wide parameter of hole in disk is only selected as design variable for reducing the weight of steel whee. PLBA(Pshenichny-Lim-Belegundu-Arora) algorithm, which used the second-order information in the direction finding problem and uses the active set strategy, is used for solving optimization problems.

  • 2대의 교류발전기 G1과 G2가 병렬운전 중 일 때 내부 기전력 E1, E2는 같은 위상이지만, 크기가 E1>E2로 될 때 두 발전기 사이에는 전위차가 있으므로 횡류 Ic가 흐르게 된다. 남강수력발전소는 주변압기(15MVA, 3.45/66kV) 한대에 수차발전기(7MVA) 2대가 병렬로 운전 중인데, 남강수력 제1호 수차발전기 AVR 시스템의 고장(RS 1기판)으로 G1 발전기의 내부 유기전압과 G2 발전기의 내부 유기전압에 차가 생기고, 이 양자의 차 전압을 전원으로 하여 발전기 G1과 G2를 환류하는 전류가 발생하여 발전 기동 중 비상정지 하였다. 본 논문에서는 고장원인 분석과정 및 AVR 시스템 보수 전 후 파형 비교 및 사고원인을 논하고자 한다.

  • 기계의 정밀도 향상을 위하여는 기계에 대한 보다 정확한 해석을 요구한다. 그러나 실제 기계 시스템은 마찰, Backlash, Saturation등과 같은 비서형 특 성을 가지고 있어 시스템의 해석 및 제어가 어렵게 된다. 특히, 축, 링크, 기 어, 풀리, 베어링등의 기계요소에서는 마찰로 인해 정밀도가 크게 덜어지고 있어, 마찰에 의한 동특성 및 제어는 많은 연구자들에 의해 관심의 대상이 되어 왔다. 마찰력을 고려한 기계시스템의 운동은 정지상태 근처에서 마찰력 의 변화가 심한 비선형 동특성을 보이고 있어 그 해석에 어려움을 겪고 있 다. 실제 마찰이 저속에서 고급 비선형임에도 불구하고 가장 널리 사용되는 형태의 모델로서 쿨통 마찰을 고려한 운동방정식 조차 비선형성으로 인하여 해석에 어려움이 따르고 있다. 마찰은 오랜동안 연구되어 오면서 Fig.1, Fig2 와 같이 등가선형점성 감쇠, 쿨통마찰, 정적마찰로 모델화되거나 이들의 조 합으로 나타내었다[1-5]. 마찰력은 시간영역에서도 연구되어 Walrath[7]는 Fig.3-a의 속도가 역전되는 지점에서 마찰토오크가 .+-.Tf를 공유하는 문제 를 고려하기 위해, Fig.3-b와 같이 동적마찰모델을 사용하였다. 최근의 연구 로서 Armstrong[7]은 마찰의 위치의존성을 고려한 정확한 마찰모델을 설정 하여 개루프제어에 적용, 좋은 제어특성을 확인하였고, Canudas[8]는 저속영 역에서 overcompensation시 limit cycle과 gain의 관계를 해석하였다.

  • Rail corrugation is continuously increasing due to the lack of maintenance regulations for the amount of rail irregularities. Rail corrugation is causing various problems, such as a decrease in ride comfort and an increase in the amount of track maintenance. In this paper, the effect of rail corrugation on the track force was analyzed by measuring the rail irregularities before and after rail grinding and the track measurements (dynamic wheel load, displacement, and acceleration) for the section where the rail corrugation occurred. In addition, it was experimentally proven that the rail grinding performed to reduce the corrugation of the rail was very effective in reducing the additional forces on the track.

Closed-Form Solutions to Free Vibration Response of Single Degree of Freedom Systems with Coulomb Friction (쿨롱마찰을 갖는 단자유도계의 자유진동응답에 관한 닫힌 해)

  • The objective of this study is to propose closed-form solutions to the free vibration response of single-degree-of-freedom (SDOF) systems, as part of fundamental research on dynamic systems with Coulomb friction. The motion of a dynamic system with Coulomb friction is described by a nonlinear differential equation, and, due to the variation in the sign of friction force term with the direction of motion, it is difficult to obtain the closed-form solution. To solve this problem, the nonlinear differential equation is directly computed by numerical integration, or an approximated solution is indirectly obtained using a linear differential equation wherein the damping effect due to Coulomb friction is replaced by an equivalent viscous damping term. However, these conventional methods do not provide a closed-form solution from a mathematical point of view. In this regard, closed-form solutions to the free vibration response of SDOF systems with Coulomb friction are derived herein by considering that the sign of the friction force term is reversed in each half-cycle of motion and by expanding it to the entire time history using the power series function. In addition, for a given initial condition, both the number of free vibration half-cycles and the response at the instant when free vibration motion stops are predicted under the condition that the motion of free vibration is stopped when the amplitude of the friction force is higher than that of the restoring force due to stiffness.

  • We developed a software system called IODS(ISSA Orbit Determination System), which can predict the orbit of arbitary artificial satellite using the numerical method. For evaluating the orbit prediction accuracy of IODS, the orbital data predicted for the meteorological satellite NOAA-11 and the stationary satellite INTELSAT-V are intercompared with those tracked at the Central Bureau of Meterology and the Kum-San Satellite Communication Station. And the Perturbations affecting the orbit of these artificial satellites are quantitatively analyzed. The orbital variation and the eclipse phenomina due to the shadow are analyzed for a hypothetical geostationary satellite called KORSAT-1 which is assumed to be located in longitude $110^{circ}E$.

  • The effects of training methods on growth and yield of white spine cucumber (Cucumis sativus L. cv. Sharp-1) were examined. The numbers of nodes, leaf area and root weight were in the order of, from high to low, ateral vine, main plus lateral vine, and main vine training. The total and marketable fruit yields were higher by the lateral training method than those by the other ones. The labor required for training was in the order of, from low to high, lateral vine, main vine, and main plus lateral vine training methods.

  • The longitude and latitude of a geosynchronous satellite are not defined as a point in space because of various external perturbations. To perform the missions of a satellite for a communication and broadcasting, the satellite must be positioned within a predefined station keeping box in given limited space longitude. In this study, we propose east-west station keeping box larger than that of north-south station. By using the derived error equation, we verified the Koreasat station keeping box allocation by assuming one week and two weeks of station keeping cycle.
