Purification of Oat ${\beta}-Glucan$ by ${\alpha}-Amlyase$ Treatment and Characterization of Its Physicochemical Properties (귀리 ${\beta}-glucan$${\alpha}-amlyase$를 이용한 정제와 이화학적 특성)

  • The effects of purification using ${\alpha}-amlyase$ (Termamyl 120L) on physicochemical properties of ${\beta}-glucan$ from oat bran were studied. Four fractions were selected as fraction A ($55^{\circ}C$, 15%, pH 6), fraction B ($45^{\circ}C$, 15%, pH 6), fraction C ($50^{\circ}C$, 0%, pH 7), and fraction D ($50^{\circ}C$, 10%, pH 5) from the result of physiological test, and three consecutive subfractions were obtained by repeated ${\alpha}-amlyase$ treatments on the each fractions. The contents of ${\beta}-glucan$, protein, and ash after purification were in 81.4-88.2%, 4.1-6.3% and 2.6-6.2%, respectively. The apparent viscosities of purified ${\beta}-glucan$ aqueous solutions were similar to those of hydroxy methyl cellulose. Glucose was a major monosaccharide of ${\beta}-glucan$ extracts, and xylose and arabinose were also detected as minor constituents on TLC. The average molecular weight ranged $2.0{\times}10^6-5.1{\times}10^6$ and was decreased after purification. From the result of the differential scanning calorimetry, the melting point ranged $130-140^{\circ}C$ with purification step and thermal transition enthalpy was increased. The ratio of ${\beta}-(1{\rightarrow}3)\;to\;{\beta}-(1{\rightarrow}4) $ linkages were 1:2.22-1:2.52, and increased up to 1:5.50 after purification.

  • High growth of economy and industrial development was produced every air pollutants, that is, SOx, NOx, dust, VOCs and malodorous gas was produced. Recently, volatile organic compounds(VOCs) was bring about very serious environmental problems. Ulsan petrochemical complex was densely a large scale of petrochemical plant. This study was carried out to select treatment equipment of VOCs produced from petrochemical plant, and has compared with Carbon filter, Regenerative thermal oxidation(RCO) and Flare stack for technical merit and demerit but also initial investment and operating cost.

Method for Increasing the Yield of the Production of Carrot Single Cell by Using Gums (검류를 이용한 단세포 당근 제조 수율 향상 방법)

  • In this study, the effects of gums (guar gum, xanthan gum, locust beam gum) on the activity of polygalacturonase(PGase) were examined. PGase activity was assayed by measuring the release of reducing groups from polygalacturonic acid. Guar gum, xanthan gum and locust bean gum were capable of increasing the catalytic activity of the PGase by 105%, 87% and 90%, respectively. Carrot was macerated by Macerozyme R-200 with gums and the yield of the maceration reaction for the production of carrot single cells was increased up to 13% in the presence of guar gum. This suggested that gums stated above can be used as good enhancers not only for the catalytic activity of the PGase but also for the production of carrot single cell.

  • The samples used for this work were low grade c1ay($Fe_2O_3$ : 2.90%, $TiO_2$ : 1.65%) produced from Youngsan-po district, and for the iron-bearing impurities removal having a bad influence on Kaoline sample was carried out column floatatoin using Oleic acid, Potassium oleat, Aero 840 promotor, Aero 870 promotor and Keroseneas collectors. For removal of the iron-vearing impurities from the kaoline, investigated first chemical composition size distribution of Kaoline sample, also performanced a basic study on pulp density, collector and pH change on a sort of frother. The flotation separation of impurities from kaoline can be achieved by using both oleic acid and Aero 840 promotor as collectors within narrow acid limits(pH 2-3). Pine oil was more effective frother than MIBC with olelic acid as aa collector.

  • Resource Constrained Dynamic Multi-Projects Scheduling (RCDMPS) is intended to schedule activities of two or more projects sequentially arriving at die shop under restricted resources. The aim of this paper is to develop a new problem solving method for RCDMPS to make an effect schedule based by constraint programming. The constraint-based scheduling method employs ILOG Solver which is C++ constraint reasoning library for solving complex resource management problems and ILOG Schedule which is a add-on library to ILOG Solver dedicated to solving scheduling problems. And this method interfaces with ILOG Views so that the result of scheduling displays with Gantt chart. The scheduling method suggested in this paper was applied to a company scheduling problem and compared with the other heuristic methods, and then it shows that the new scheduling system has more preference.

  • 여수 국가산업단지(이하 여수산단, 구 여천산단)는 울산지역과 함께 1967년부터 중화학공업 육성을 위한 석유화학단지로 조성되기 시작하였다. 이 지역은 안전사고와 환경오염으로 인한 피해 분쟁이 빈발하였으며, 휘발성유기화합물질 (VOCs)로 인한 대기오염 문제가 최초로 제기된 지역이기도 하다. 이에 따라 환경부에서는 1996년 9월 여수산단을 대기보전특별대책지역으로 지정하고, 석유정제 및 석유화학 제품 제조시설 등에 대하여 VOCs 배출억제 및 방지시설을 설치하도록 하는 한편, 기존 배출시설에 대해서는 엄격한 배출허용기준을, 신규배출시설에 대하여는 특별배출허용기준을 각각 적용하고 있다.   • Red mud는 Bauxite 광물을 정제하여 알루미나를 생산하는 과정에서 발생하는 산업 고형 폐기물이다. Red mud 내에는 경제적으로 가치 있는 다양한 금속 성분과 희토류 등이 함유되어 있다. 하지만 적절한 처리법이 없어 현재 산업폐기물로 방치되고 있는 실정이며, 방치되고 있는 red mud 내에 함유되어 있는 독성물질은 수질 및 토양 등의 환경오염을 유발의 원인이 되고 있다. 이로 인해 본 논문에서는 보다 효율적으로 처리하기 위해 유가 금속을 회수 하는 방법을 알아보았다.

  • Metallothioneins (MTs) are low molecular weight, cysteine-rich, and heavy metal binding proteins, which could be induced with heavy metals such as Cd, Hg, Zn and Cu in liver, kidney, and in cultured cells. By using ion exchange chromatography on DE-52, MT was purified from the serum of carp induced with cadmium in order to produce antibody against MT. Polyclonal antibody produced against purified carp MT reacted well with MT in the serum of carp induced with cadmium, whereas control serum did not. This may indicate that the polyclonal antibody against the carp MT could be used for the preparation of biosensors to detect MT in fishes like carp.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between KOSPI200 Futures and KTB Futures in inter market and intra market. We are focusing on which market would be lead. The empirical results have indicated that there are no lead or lag effect between KOSPI200 Futures and KTB Futures market. But some positive correlation appeared, we used to know negative correlation between stock and bond market, which is a new finding. As a conclusion, the market still have an efficiency with co-movement.

  • 전자상거래에서 추천 시스템은 일반적으로 협동적 필터링이라는 정보 필터링 기술을 사용한다. 협동적 필터링 기술은 유사한 성향을 갖는 다른 고객들이 상품에 대해서 매긴 평가에 기반한다. 협동적 필터링이 유사 선호도를 갖는 이웃 고객들의 평가에 근거하기 때문에 고객에게 가장 적합한 유사 이웃들을 적절히 선정해 내는 것은 추천 시스템에서 예측의 질 향상을 위해 필요하다. 본 논문에서 우리는 ordered clustering을 이용하여 협동적 필터링을 위한 향상된 이웃선정 방법을 제안한다. 이 방법은 탐색 공간을 줄이기 위해 k-means 클러스터링 방법을 사용한다. 그리고 클러스터링에 의해 구성된 고객들에 대해서 threshold 값에 의해 보다 정제된 고객들을 최종 선정함으로써 고객에게 보다 의미 있는 적합한 고객이 최종적인 이웃으로 선정될 수 있도록 한다. 실험은 Compaq Computer Corporation에 의해 제공된 EachMovie 데이터 셋을 사용하였다. 실험 결과로 우리는 제안한 방법이 다른 방법보다 좋은 예측 정확도를 갖는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.
