Modeling and Implementation of Intelligent Pen-based Online Editing System (지능형 펜기반 온라인 교정 시스템의 설계 및 구현)

  • 최근 종이 문서의 전자화가 이루어지면서 기존의 전통적인 펜기반 교정 시스템 또한 온라인 상의 전자 문서 환경에 맞게 구축되고 있다. 이러한 펜기반 입력 기법을 사용하는 교정 시스템에서는 교정 부호와 텍스트 간의 정확한 영역 인식이 중요하며 이를 위해 교정 부호의 특성과 텍스트 영역의 분석이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 온라인 교정 시스템 모델링을 통하여 온라인 환경에 적합한 교정 부호를 정의하고, 교정 대상 텍스트 영역을 편집 가능한 단위로 구분하여 효율적인 편집 연산이 이루어 질 수 있도록 하였다. 또한 웹 기반의 구조문서(HTML/XML) 편집 환경을 고려하여 편집으로 인한 문서의 구조 정보 변경을 지원하기 위하여 텍스트를 비구조 및 구조정보 텍스트로 분류하여 정의하였다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 모델에 기반하여 교정 부호의 특성에 따른 가변적인 편집 텍스트 영역 인식 규칙 모델을 정의하여 교정부호와 편집 텍스트 영역간의 모호성을 최소화 하고, 편집으로 인한 문서의 구조 정보 변경을 지원하는 시스템을 구현하였다. 결과적으로 온라인 웹 문서 환경에서 펜기반의 모호한 교정 부호의 입력을 인지적인 관점에서 해석하여 보다 정확한 교정 작업 수행을 지원하도록 하였다.

A Study on the Effects of Read Along by Google with Primary ELLs' Pronunciation and Affective Domains (구글 Read Along 앱 활용이 초등영어학습자의 발음과 정의적 영역에 미치는 효과)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of Read Along by Google with primary English learners' pronunciation and affective domains. In order to answer these two questions, a 4-week pilot study was conducted with 24 participants in the 6 th grade. Read Along as a main learning tool was utilized for a reading-aloud activity, and a pre-/post pronunciation test and survey on the affective factors were distributed as a research instrument. The results indicated that a read-aloud activity with Read Along brought a positive impact on the development of learners' pronunciation ability in terms of accuracy and fluency. Participants showed improvement in the post-pronunciation test, compared to the pre-one and there was a significant difference based on the result of the paired samples t-test. Next, the results of the survey on the affective domains illustrated that participants showed overall improvement in learning interest and confidence and there was a significant difference in these factors. Yet, there was not a significant difference in the learning attitude, even though they showed partial improvement.

A Study of Cognitive Warfare and Ethical Issues: Focusing on Just War Theory (인지전과 윤리적 문제에 대한 연구: 정의전쟁론을 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this paper is to show the limitations of Just War Theory in evaluating ethical issues that can be raised in cognitive warfare, which is emerging as a new area of war. To this end, we will provide the background of cognitive warfare, derive the features of cognitive warfare based on conceptual analysis of cognitive warfare, and clarify the differences between cognitive warfare and traditional warfare. Afterwards, we will turn the discussion and take a look at the background and areas of Just War Theory as a theory that evaluates comprehensive ethical issues related to war. Then, we will elaborate what Just War Theory is and apply the ethical judgment criteria presented in the three areas of this theory, jus ad bellum, jus in bello, and jus post bellum, to cognitive warfare. Finally, we will evaluate the appropriateness of ethical judgment in cognitive warfare by applying criteria for each area and specify the limitations, thereby showing that Just War Theory has limitations as an ethical judgment criteria in cognitive warfare.

Effect of Inquiry-based Biology Program on Pre-service Science Teachers' Perceptions on the Nature of Science and Affective Domain of Science (탐구중심 생물수업이 예비 과학교사의 과학의 본성 및 과학의 정의적 영역에 미치는 영향)

  • This study aims to investigate the effect of inquiry-based biology program of pre-service science teachers' perceptions on the nature of science and their affective domain of science. For the study, sixty-seven pre-service science teachers were sampled from students who enrolled in the 'Biology Laboratory', Spring semester, 2011. The experimental group taught by inquiry-based experiment and control group by observation-based experiment were composed. At the beginning and end of semester, pre- and post-tests on the nature of science and affective domain of science were administered. The average scores of experimental group were higher than those of control group in the post-test of the nature of science, but there were no significant differences between both groups (p>.05). For the post-test results of both groups' affective domain of science, the experimental group showed significantly higher scores than the control group in self-efficacy in science, importance of science, and importance of science for careers (p<.01). The inquiry-based biology program did not influence pre-service science teachers' perception on the nature of science, while it was effective for positive changes on pre-service science teachers' affective domain of science.

  • 최근의 소프트웨어 위기를 해결할 수 있는 최적의 대안으로서 컴포넌트 기술을 개발, 산업계에 확산하기 위하여 다양한 영역의 비즈니스 컴포넌트를 개발 보급하여야 한다. 비즈니스 컴포넌트를 개발하기 위하여는 컴포넌트의 조립 모델을 정의한 개념적 아키텍쳐를 우선적으로 설정하여야하며 이 모델에 기반한 체계화된 명세 방법을 정의하여 각 컴포넌트가 일관적 체계에 따라 명세화 되어 개발할 수 있는 체계를 구축하여야 한다. 본 연구에서는 정통부 사업의 일환으로 수행된 공용 컴포넌트 뱅크 구축을 위한 영역 아키텍쳐 모델을 제시하고, 컴포넌트 뱅크에 구축할 컴포넌트 개발을 위한 명세 방법의 개념 모델과 명세 단계를 제시하고 이를 비즈니스 웅용 영역에 적용하여 개발한 명세화 접근 방법 및 개발 결과에 대하여 논한다.

High School Students' Perceptions on Descriptive Assessment Activity Experiences by Teacher or by Peer (서술형 평가에서의 교사평가와 동료평가 활동 경험에 따른 고등학생들의 인식)

  • The purpose of this study is to figure out the influence on the students' achievement of the cognitive and the affective domains by descriptive items assessment of teacher or peer and to obtain implications by analyzing the students' satisfaction and the reliability of the assessment. For this purpose, two classes of 11th grade students located in a small city were selected and took an exam related to the cognitive and the affective domains before and after the assessment. The assessment activities were carried out during 10 lessons and the teacher gave feedback to the students of the teacher assessment class in the lessons. In the peer assessment class, a small-size student group discussion and feedback were given to the students after the exam. The results show that higher level achievement group students represented relatively positive satisfaction on teacher assessment, and lower level achievement group students represented positive satisfaction on peer assessment. In spite of the same marker list, higher level achievement group students represent relatively high reliability than lower level achievement group students. The lower level achievement group students in the peer assessment class got statistically meaningful improvement of achievement than the students of teacher assessment class. The peer assessment activity was positively influenced on the affective domain of the lower level achievement group students, especially signigicant meaning of statistics was found on the students' perception about science.

A Meta Analysis of the Effects of Physical Activity Programs in the Elderly with Disabilities (장애노인 신체활동 프로그램 효과에 대한 메타분석)

  • The study conducted a meta analysis to identify the effects of physical activity programs for the elderly with disabilities. The 14 out of 177 studies, fulfilled the process and requirement, were selected for the Hedges'g, funnel plot, forest plot, Egger's regression test, trim-and-fill, fail-safe N. There were three conclusions based on the results. First, the physical activity was effective for the elderly with disabilities and showed good effects on the psychomotor, cognitive, and affective domains. Second, the physical activity programs of fundamental exercise skill, game and sport, and fitness exercise showed positive effects on the psychomotor, cognitive, and affective domains in the elderly with disabilities. Third, the fundamental exercise skill for the psychomotor domain, the game and sport for the cognitive domain, and the fitness exercise for the affective domain were the most effective for the elderly with disabilities.

The analysis of characteristics and effects of contextual variables in terms of student achievement levels and gender based on the results of PISA 2015 science domain (PISA 2015 과학 영역에 나타난 학생 성취수준 집단 및 성별에 따른 교육맥락 변인의 특성 및 영향력 분석)

  • This study compares and analyzes the characteristics and effects of various educational contextual variables according to students' achievement level and gender groups based on the results of PISA 2015 science domain. PISA 2015 included additional variables about teaching-learning and affective characteristics in the field of science, because science was the main domain of PISA 2015. The results of the mediation analysis using a multiple group structural equation model showed that the environment and strategy for the teaching and learning had a positive effect on the affective characteristics, and also positively affected science achievement through the mediator of the affective characteristics. Particularly, the environment and strategy for the teaching and learning was the most effective in improving the affective characteristics for the low achievement group. It was found that the difference of the mediated effect between achievement level groups was statistically significant, but that between male and female students was not. Therefore, the appropriate the environment and strategy for the teaching and learning will need to be emphasized consistently to improve students' cognitive and affective achievement. The implications and suggestions of these results were discussed.

Effect of forming groups according to the brain hemisphere preference on the cooperative problem solving learning achievement in the middle school technology (중학교 기술 교과의 협동적 문제해결학습에서 좌우뇌 선호도에 따른 소집단 구성이 학업성취도에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to verify the effect of forming groups according to the brain hemisphere preference on the cooperative problem solving learning achievement in the middle school technology. The subjects of this study were 95 second grade boy students of a middle school in Daejeon and the measurement instrument of the left and right hemisphere preference is the Brain preference Indicator(BPI) which had been developed by Torrance et al(1977) and was adjusted by Ko, Younghee(1991). The academic achievement was analyzed on cognitive, psychomotor and affective domains. Derived results from this research are stated below: First, making groups according that the brain preference is more similar was more effective than making groups according to the high familiarity and the similarity of performance in the academic achievement of psychomotor and affective domains. Second, making groups according that the brain preference is more similar was more effective than making groups according that the brain preference is more diffrent for the academic achievement of affective domains on the cooperative problem solving learning in technology. Third, the academic achievement score of the right hemisphere preference group is higher than the score of the population in three domains. Also, the academic achievement score of the right hemisphere preference group is higher than the score of the left hemisphere preference group.

Robust Hand Region Extraction Using a Joint-based Model (관절 기반의 모델을 활용한 강인한 손 영역 추출)

  • Efforts to utilize human gestures to effectively implement a more natural and interactive interface between humans and computers have been ongoing in recent years. In this paper, we propose a new algorithm that accepts consecutive three-dimensional (3D) depth images, defines a hand model, and robustly extracts the human hand region based on six palm joints and 15 finger joints. Then, the 3D depth images are adaptively binarized to exclude non-interest areas, such as the background, and accurately extracts only the hand of the person, which is the area of interest. Experimental results show that the presented algorithm detects only the human hand region 2.4% more accurately than the existing method. The hand region extraction algorithm proposed in this paper is expected to be useful in various practical applications related to computer vision and image processing, such as gesture recognition, virtual reality implementation, 3D motion games, and sign recognition.
