The Study of Crystal Growth for Carbon Dioxide Hydrate ($CO_2$ 하이드레이트 결정 성장 연구)

  • 지구 온난화의 주요한 원인인 $CO_2$ 가스 저감을 위한 많은 연구가 현재 수행중이며, 하이드레이트 형성원리를 이용한 $CO_2$ 분리 및 회수에 대한 연구가 보고되고 있다. 하이드레이트 형성에 있어 결정성장 거동에 관한 연구는 $CO_2$ 하이드레이트 형성 메커니즘을 규명하는데 기초자료를 제공할 것으로 사료된다. 본 연구에서는 274.1K의 정온 조건에 서 반회분식 교반 반응기를 이용하여 1.7MPa에서 3.0MPa으로 압력 조건을 바꾸면서 $CO_2$ 하이드레이트를 형성시켰다. 실험에 공급된 기체의 조성은 $CO_2$ (99.999%)이다. 실험 관측은 광학현미경(Nikon, SMZ 1000)에 장착된 CCD카메라(Nikon DS-5M/Fi1/2M-U2)에 의하여 이루어 졌다. 하이드레이트 형성 및 해리 과정을 CCD카메라로 촬영하고 시간에 따른 온도와 압력의 변화를 기록하여 핵생성 시간, 성장 속도, 성장 거동을 관찰하였다. 실험에 적용되는 압력에 따라서 하이드레이트 성장형태와 성장속도에서 매우 큰 차이를 보이는 것을 확인하였다.

  • Noise problem that occurs on the road is raising a lot of problems in the economic, social and environmental aspects. The objective of this paper is to propose ANC(active noise cancellation)-based road traffic noise reduction algorithm-model which can reduce noise by generating frequency opposed to noise sources to improve and complement the problem that existing physical form of a noise barrier. In this paper, we measured the noise characteristic from collection of two difference car noise also ANC simulation has been performed by using road traffic noises input. In order to compare the control performance, we performed noise reduction simulation of ANC by filtered-X LMS algorithm and delayed control signal injection. As a result of this simulation, we confirmed that convergence performance and noise decrease effect to the filtered-X LMS algorithm by inputting the road traffic noise.

  • 국내 해빈지대의 경우, 인위적 개발과 기상학적 현상, 특히 태풍의 영향으로 다량의 모래가 유실되고 있다. 해안침식 종합대책 수립 및 사업실행에 있어 해안지형에 관한 정확한 자료 구축은 필히 요구된다. 그러나 현재까지, 연안에 관한 정확한 측량작업이 실행되지 않은 채, 모래 유실에 대한 문제 제기나 일시적 대책 마련에 급급하고 있다. 그러므로 본 연구에서는 연구지역을 해운대 해빈지역으로 선정하고, GPS 측량기법을 이용하여 해안지대의 정확한 공간자료를 구축하였으며, 태풍으로 인한 3차원 지형변화를 정밀하게 분석하였다. 연구결과, 태풍의 영향으로 호안벽 근처 해빈고도는 증가하였으나, 강풍과 북북동의 정온입사파로 $2320m^3$ 가량 해빈이 침식하였다. 특히 동측 해빈지대에서 침식현상이 뚜렷하게 발생하였다. RS, GPS, GIS 기법을 기반으로 해안지대의 정확한 공간DB 구축과 지형변화에 관한 정량적정성적 분석 작업은 국내 해안침식에 관한 체계적이며 효과적인 대책을 수립하는데 도움을 줄 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

  • The size of fine structures in the quiescent prominence that appeared on August 16, 1992 has been estimated using power spectra generated from intensity variations of Ha images of the lower part of the prominence, which were taken with a G1 CCD camera attached to 25cm coronagraph at Norikura Coronal Station in Japan. The lower part of the prominence has shown a distinct intensity variation with optical thickness of $\tau=1\~5$. Our analysis yields a mean size of fine structures ranging from 350 km to 1,000 km, in good agreement with Hirayama(1985) and Zirker & Koutchmy(1989, 1991).

  • An anemometer employing the bulk PTC thermistor as the sensing element is investigated in this study. The numerical and experimental works are carried out to improve the sensitivity problem of the element by focusing fluid dynamics point of view. The typical shape of the sensing element has been used as a rectangular type, but this shape has a sensitivity problem because of flow separations on the sharp edge when the flow direction is different from that of the sensing element. In order to reduce the reading error, the installer has to be very careful about the flow direction. The reading error fluctuation by time as well as the sensitivity problem can be improved considerably through this study. It can be concluded that the small change of the sensor shape can improve the performance of the flow sensor.

  • Low priced and environment-friendly natural dye from coumarin- containing plants for the dye sensitized solar cell (DSSC) was developed. Dyes were extracted from cinnamon and angelica that contained coumarin derivatives, and DSSCs employing these dyes were prepared. PV efficiency of 0.75% was obtained from cinnamon dye, which is comparable to the highest efficiency reported in precedent studies about natural dye DSSC. It was confirmed by UV-visible and FT-IR spectroscopy that coumarin derivatives in the plants acted as photosensitive material.

  • Calibration equation for Variable Temperature Anemometer(VTA) has been tested for measured velocity-output data and the calibration process has been compared with that of Constant Temperature Anemometer(CTA). VTA has greater sensitivity than that of any other conventional anemometers, but to be more popular technique in flow field measurement, simple, accurate and well established calibration process should be suggested. To meet this purpose, similar calibration method used for CTA has been adopted for VTA and finally calibration equation for VTA including the effect of temperature drift has been proposed.

  • The main external force of the harbor in east coast is wave. So, wave is the important cause of wave induced current and sediment transport due to wave in planning harbor structures. Therefore, it must be considered not only to secure the harbor tranquility but also the sediment transport due to wave induced current in planning the harbor. In this study, we studied on the influences of construction procedure on harbor tranquility and siltation using annual coastal line data and bathymetry data near breakwater. And it suggests that the construction procedure for the harbor tranquility and the best way for the decrease of harbor siltation.

  • Recently the use of Pd catalyst have been continued to expand because of cost avaliabilityand performance advantages. Especially the Pd+Rh catalyst instead of the Pt+Rh catalyst had been used for most of three way catalysts because of the more stringent emission standards and its higher temperature effectiveness. The main purpose of this study is to investigate the design parameter impacts on the Pd+Rh cat-alyst for the automotive exhaust catalysts application. This study was investigated on the catalyst efficiency for the volume and the precious metal loading of the Pd+Rh ceramic monolithic cata-lyst. And experiments concerning the effects of volume and precious metal loading on Pd+Rh three way catalysts were conducted to examined the catalyst light-off temperature and conver-sion efficiency on higher volume demonstrated almost similar performance. But their effects on higher precious metal loading demonstrated considerably better performance.

  • This is the first case of a de novo balanced translocation 46, XY, t(3;17)(p12.2;q25) associated with multiple musculoskeletal abnormalities, including Sprengel's deformity (congenital undescended scapula to be reported). This translocation has not been described previously with this congenital anomaly in Korea.
