The group of people with mental illness living in independent housing from T mental rehabilitation facilities in Seoul were assigned to the experimental group, and the other group of people with mental illness in living facilities and group home were assigned to the control group. After that, the degree of community performance between groups was compared with pre-post tests. As a result of the study, the pre-post analysis of the total social support of the experimental group showed significant differences. Also, the results were statistically insignificant in all of the control groups, so the initial adaptation support program was found effective in improving the total social support of the independent housing group. Based on the results of this study, the direction of housing support and establishment of a performance system for housing services for stable settlement of discharged people with mental illness into the community was suggested.

Results: Among the pathological syndromes, positives ones were $12.64{\pm}3.80$ on the average, negative ones were $32.00{\pm}5.36$, and general pathological syndromes were $30.50{\pm}6.24$. In the evaluation of the insights, the mean score was $11.81{\pm}5.09$. There were some significant correlations between positive syndromes and general pathological ones (r=.572, p=.000), and negative syndromes and general pathological ones(r=.262, p=.029), while there was no significant correlation between the insights and the sub-measures of general pathological syndromes. Conclusion: Therefore, the schizophrenic patients taking advantage of the community mental health centers have more negative syndromes than those in hospitalized, and rehabilitation programs are needed to help them continuously. And the further study of the correlations between the pathological syndromes and the degrees of the insights are required, and still, it should be analyzed what effects the insight acquirement brings about to the improvements of the pathological syndromes after the application of the insight-oriented programs.

This paper investigates interventions that help children of alcoholics psychosocially and psychopathologically. We investigated domestic and international literature by searching the related databases and reviewing articles. Inclusion criteria were studies on psychological interventions for children of alcoholics (CoAs) or both CoAs and parents. • Because chronic pain disorder may has multiple causes or contributing factors, including physical, psychological, and socio-environmental variables, the treatment of patients with the disorder requires biopsychosocial approaches in a multidisciplinary setting. In treating chronic pain, it is important to address functioning as well as pain, and treatment should be to increase functional capacity and manage the pain as opposed to curing it. Therefore treatment goal should be adaptation to pain or minimizing pain with corresponding greater functioning. Treatment begins with the initial assessment, which includes evaluation of psychophysiologic mechanisms, operant mechanisms, and overt psychiatric comorbidity. Psychiatric treatment of the patients requires adherence to sound pharmacologic and behavioral principles. There are four categories of drugs useful to psychiatrist in the management of chronic pain patients : 1) narcotic analgesics, 2) nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs, 3) psychotropic medications, and 4) anticonvulsants, but antidepressants are the most valuable drugs in pharmnacotherpy for them. Psychological treatments tend to emphasize behavioral and cognitive-behavioral modalities, which are divided into self-management techniques and operant techniques. Psychodynamic and insight-oriented therapies are indicated to some patients with long-standing interpersonal dysfunction or a history of childhood abuse.

  • This study is a similar experimental study using parallax design before and after the non-equality control group conducted to investigate the effects of the Mental health guardian program for mentally disabled people on the awareness of rights, empowerment, and resilience of mentally disabled people. The mentally handicapped persons who participated in the mental health guardian program were significantly higher in the awareness of the rights of the handicapped compared to the mentally handicapped persons who did not participate. In terms of empowerment, there was no significant difference between the two groups. In terms of resilience, the experimental group significantly increased compared to the control group. Among the sub-areas of resilience, excluding spirituality, difficulty overcoming, self-competence, learning and self-financing, basic functions, overall life satisfaction, new potential, advocacy and fullness all significantly increased. It has been shown to be effective in increasing the resilience of the disabled. In this study, the reason why mental health guardian program is effective for awareness of rights and resilience is not a one-way education, but a participatory curriculum in which a person with mental disabilities who participated in the education finds and corrects the wrong news and creates a card news again. It seems to be because it did. As a result of this study, it seems that the mental health guardian program has contributed to enhancing the recognition of the rights of the mentally impaired and enhancing resilience.
