Removal Efficiency in Water Treatment Process and Characteristic of Cell Sensitivity of Waterborne Enteric Viruses (수계 바이러스의 정수처리공정별 제거율 및 세포주별 감염특성 조사)

  • Poliovirus, coxsackievirus, and ecovirus isolates from environmental sources were compared with laboratory strains to determine their removal rate in the water treatment process. The recovery efficiencies of poliovirus, coxsackievirus and echovirus using positive strains ranged from $72{\sim}108%$. Regarding virus removal efficiency in water treatment of pilot-plants, about 99% of all of the viruses were removed in the sedimentation step and 100% of viruses were clearly removed through post-ozonation and BAC filteration. Using six cell lines tested viral sensitivity in cell line and showed different sensitivity as viruses. Polioviruses showed higher sensitivity in the BGMK cell line than other cells, and coxsackieviruses were detected in higher level in the BGMK and Vero cell lines. On the other hand, the RD cell line was useful in the isolation of ecoviruses.

  • We will be establish the new k stores of identical product firm $F_B$ to gain competitive advantage over rival firm $F_A$ that has already monopolize a market with k stores. In this situation, how we can decide the location of k stores? For this problem, Serra and Revelle proposes k-Median and MAXCAP integer programming using LP+BB to decide the k stores of firm $F_B$. Then they exchange the k stores to another location that cover more customers. This paper suggests non-neighborhood search method that finds the ${\upsilon}{\not\in}N_G(u)$nodes for u of firm $F_A$ without most outer loop nodes using just MS-Excel. As a result of experiment, the proposed algorithm can be get the optimal solution easier and faster than integer programming.

  • The human resource management is a very important thing to an airline call center. It may lead the call center to success or fail. The call center managers have to make appropriate decisions how many persons are inputted into the operation for each unit time and all day. In this study, a method is suggested to get an optimal staffing for each unit time using Integer Programming. The Integer Programming model can be used to solve the efficiency problem of the call center's staffing and scheduling. And call certer manager can adopt this model into the operations of the call center without any difficulties or modifications.

A Study on the Feed Network for Microstrip Array Antenna (마이크로스트립 배열 안테나의 급전 방식에 관한 연구)

  • This study is concerned with a feeding method of microstrip patch antennas with different widths as feeding elements in order to obtain the appropriate radiation patterns of nonuniform array antennas. We analyze a microstrip patch antenna based on the transmission line model and derive that the ratio of current is equal to that of the input impedances of array antenna elements in case that the feed-line length between elements of array antenna is equal to the integer times of $\lambda_g$. We measure the radiation patterns of the nonuniform microstrip patch array antenna with 6 and 9 elements. The patterns measured are well agreed with the theoritically calculated patterns. Thus, this result can be utilized in the implementation of a feed network in nonuniform array antennas.

  • Digital data are mostly comprised of unstructured data such as text file, office file, image file, video file, and drawing file. The recent digital data being generated and used within enterprise are sharply increasing in quantity. Those digital data are becoming significant as digital assets, but the value of digital assets is not properly evaluated. Accordingly, this study will present a model to evaluate the value of unstructured data as digital assets within enterprise and will also present a differentiated management plan for unstructured data as assets.

  • 서울과 같은 대도시 지역은 인구와 산업이 집중되어 있기 때문에 작은 규모의 수재해로도 큰 피해를 입을 수 있다. 또한 국지적으로 발생하는 집중호우는 도시 지역에 돌발홍수를 일으킬 수 있기 때문에 국지 예보는 도시 지역에서 매우 중요한 역할을 하고 있다. 레이더는 먼 거리에서의 악기상을 빠르게 관측할 수 있기 때문에 도시 지역 수재해 방지에 큰 역할을 할 것으로 기대되고 있다. 특히 X 밴드레이더는 높은 시공간 해상도의 관측 자료를 제공하고 있어 도시 지역에 적합한 레이더로 알려져 있다. 국내에는 건술기술연구원, 고려대학교, 연세대학교에 X밴드 이중편파레이더가 도입되어 서울 지역에서의 수재해 감시 역할을 수행하고 있다. X밴드 이중편파레이더는 반사도, 차등반사도, 차등위상차, 비차등위상차 등 다양한 레이더 편파변수들을 제공하고 있다. 이중 비차등위상차는 감쇄와 부분차폐의 영향을 받지 않아 비차등위상차로부터 추정된 레이더 강우는 큰 강우 강도에서 정확도가 높은 것으로 알려져 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 비차등위상차로부터 추정된 레이더 강우량에 대한 정확도를 평가하였다. 이를 위해 2013년부터 2016년까지 관측된 건설기술연구원 X밴드 이중편파레이더 자료(42개 강우사례)를 활용하였다.

Characteristics of Water Quality Parameters of Han River Related to THMs Formation in Water Treatment Plants in Seoul (서울시 정수장의 THMs 생성과 관련된 한강 원수의 주요 수질 특성 조사)

  • In a study on THMs formation at the distribution facilities in Seoul water supply for past 3 years from 2007 to 2009, THMs production was increased from inlet to outlet during the process in water treatment plant. However, such increased THMs amount was very small compared to THMs production formed after pre-chlorination and post chlorination. Accordingly, this study is aimed to investigate the characteristics of water quality parameters of Han River related to THMs formation in 6 water treatment plants in Seoul. The results showed that THMs and other factors such as temperature (r = 0.539~0.846) and turbidity (r = 0.421~0.863) had positive correlation while THMs had negative correlation with pH (r = -0.613~-0.800) and algae (r = -0.582~-0.901). There is no correlation between THMs and $NH_3-N$. According to the factor analysis, generally metabolite and organic matter factor $X_1$ (pH, BOD, algae), and seasonal and natural factor $X_2$ (temperature, turbidity) played an important role in the formation of THMs. Multiple regression analysis for THMs formation showed significance of regression appeared in most water systems.

  • This paper propose a new mathematical modelling method about optimum operational schedule for cogeneration systems. Proposed algorithm solving the energy product cost function in this paper is very similar to the real model that is, proposed algorithm solve nonlinear type of real model using mixed integer programming based on the piecewise linear function while the conventional algorithms used before could not solve that kind of problems. The effectiveness of the proposed method is ascertained by the simulation results with varius case studies which are similar to real operation circumstances.

  • 본 논문에서는 22.9kV 고압 가공 배전선로를 고속 전력선 통신을 위한 통신 채널로 사용하기 위하여 전력선 통신 주파수 $2MHz{\sim}30MHz$ 대역에 대한 특성 파라미터를 해석하였다. 먼저 고압 배전선로에 주로 사용되는 ACSR-OC 케이블에 대한 구조를 분석하고 이의 특성 파라미터로부터 분포정수와 특성 임피던스를 구하였다. 또한 등각 사상법을 이용하여 유전체가 코팅된 평행 2선식 고압 배전선로의 정전용량 및 유효유전상수를 계산하였다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 고압 배전선로의 분포정수와 특성임피던스를 구하였으며, 특성임피던스는 케이블 단면적에 따라서 $470{\ell}{\sim}530{\ell}$ 사이의 분포를 나타내었다. 특히, 특성 임피던스는 지면을 완전 전기도체로 가정할 경우에 비하여 실제 지면의 도전율과 유전상수를 고려할 때 20MHz 이하의 대역에서 보다 높은 값을 갖는 것을 확인하였다.

  • A broad-band design method of a lumped-element 3dB quadrature hybrid without magnetic coupling is proposed and discussed, where techniques of cascading fundamental hybrids via second-order delay equalizers and adding matching sections are adopted. It is shown that the designed broad-band lumped-element 3dB quadrature hybrid can be easily constructed and its bandwidth reaches up to 54%. Furthermore, the esperiments have been carried out, the results of which agree with the theoretical ones, and hence, the validity of the broad-band design method proposed here was confirmed.
