A preliminary study on lexical access and phonological processing in written word recognition (한글 단어 인지과정에서 음운적 처리와 어휘접근)

  • 단어 인지과정은 언어 이해과정의 한 부분으로, 신속성과 정확성 그리고 심성어휘집을 그 특정으로 한다. 표기 단어의 인지과정에는 그 언어의 정서법 체계가 반영된다. 한국어의 단어 인지과정에 대한 모델 작성의 예비 연구로 음운적 처리와 어휘 근접에서의 정서법적 정보의 역활에 대해 검토하였다. 어휘 근접의 단위에 대한 논의에서는 음절, 자질, 단어등의 형식적 언어학적 단위외에 심리적 단위가 고려되어야 함이 지적되었으며, 그 심리적 단위들과 정서법의 관계에 대해 논의하였다. 마지막으로 한글 단어 인지과정에 관한 한 모델로서 상호작용 활성화 모델의 가능성에 주목하였다.

  • 최근 컴퓨터를 이용하여 사용자와 상호작용 하는 과정에서 사용자의 정서 상태를 파악하고, 이에 대응하여 적절한 행동을 할 수 있는 감성 캐릭터 생성에 대한 연구가 요구되고 있다. 특히 캐릭터 애니메이션에 있어서도 애니메이터의 수작업이나 외부 장비를 이용하지 않고, 캐릭터의 감성 상태에 따라 애니메이션을 자동으로 생성할 수 있다. 본 논문은 이러한 감성 시스템을 설계하고 캐릭터의 감성에 따라 애니메이션 하는 방법을 제안한다. 본 연구에서는 캐릭터에 감성을 부여하기 위하여 Ortony의 인지적 정서 모델을 바탕으로 하여 새로운 감성 모델을 제안하였고 이를 바탕으로 물고기 캐릭터에 적용하여 시스템을 구현하였다.

An Analysis of Structural Relationships of the Cognitive and Communication Ability Related Variables on Infants (영아기 인지·의사소통 발달 관련요인 간의 구조적 관계 분석)

  • This study investigated the structural relationships among infant's cognitive and communication ability, temperament, teacher-infants interaction, and mothers' parenting stress. Subjects used in this study were 249 infnats whose mean age of 30.21 months, and who were attended in preschool in S city. Research instruments used in collecting data were 'K-ASQ(Korean Ages and Stages Questionnaires)', 'EAS(Emotionality, Activity, and Sociability-Temperament Survey for Children-Parental Ratings)', 'PSI/SF(Parenting Stress Index/ Short Form)', 'ECOI'. The collected data were analyzed through SPSS 18.0 and AMOS 18.0 program. Pearson's correlation and Structural equation model analysis were used to analyze the data. Findings are as follows. First, there were positive correlations between infant's cognitive and communication ability with social-ability temperament, teacher-infants interaction. There were negative correlations between infant's cognitive and communication ability with infant's emotionality temperament, mothers' parenting stress. Second, social-ability temperament directly affected disposition toward cognitive ability, but in-direct effect was not significant. Emotionality temperament partially mediated the effects of parenting stress toward cognitive ability. Third, social ability directly affected disposition toward language ability, but in-direct effect was not significant. There has no significant path of temperament to teacher-child interaction, but teacher-child interaction has direct effect to infant's cognitive ability. Finally, all path about infant's communication ability were not significant.

The effect of emotional state on information search pattern with small-size screen (좁은 화면(small-size screen)을 통한 정보 탐색 패턴에 정서 상태가 마치는 효과)

  • 최근 들어 인간과 컴퓨터 상호작용 분야에서 기존의 인지적인 측면 이외에 정서의 역할에 대한 관심이 증폭되고 있는 추세이다. 본 연구에서는 사용자가 좁은 화면을 통해 정보검색을 수행 할 때 정서 상태에 따라 정보 검색 패턴이 다른지 알아보고자 하였다. 실험참가자들의 정서 상태를 인위적으로 유도하기 위해 검색과제를 수행하기 전에 긍정적인 정서와 부정적인 정서를 유발시킬 수 있는 음악을 듣게 하였고 동시에 자신의 과거 기역으로부터 긍정적인 정서 혹은 부정적인 정서를 유발 시킬 수 있는 과제를 수행하도록 하였다. 정서 유발 과정이 끝난 뒤 각 실험 참가자들은 좁은 화면을 통해 정보 탐색 과제를 수행하였다. 정보 탐색 과제는 주어진 시간 동안 제시되는 나라들에 대한 여행 정보를 검색하는 것이었고 정보 검색이 이루어지는 동안 소요된 시간 및 검색 페이지 링크가 기록되었다. 실험결과 긍정적인 정서상태에서는 중립 상태와 부정적인 정서 상태에 비해서 보다 광범위하고 빠른 정보검색이 이루어지는 것으로 나타났다.

The Difference of Emotional Evaluation for Personal Pronoun 'I' and 'You' (인칭 대명사 '나'와 '너'의 정서적 평가 차이)

  • Three experiments were conducted to explore the interaction of personal pronoun (e.g. 'I' and 'you') and emotional evaluation (e.g. positive and negative) using time-course (e.g. SOA 500-1000ms) and multi-task approaches (e.g. lexical decision task and primed naming task). In Experiment 1, Participants were presented personal pronoun as primes at SOA 1000ms and were asked to response emotional words which were differed in emotional attributes. The results showed that the interaction effects of personal pronoun and emotional words were found. In Experiment 2, Participants were presented personal pronoun as primes at SOA 1000ms and were asked to response emotional words which were differed in emotional attributes. The results showed that no effects were found. In Experiment 3, Participants were presented personal pronoun as primes at SOA 500ms and were asked to pronounce emotional words which were differed in emotional attributes. The results showed that the interaction of personal pronoun and emotional words were found. The results of 3 experiments were discussed from a point of view of dynamic processes of social cognition.

  • 인간로봇 상호작용 기술(human-robot interaction)은 다양한 의사소통 채널인 로봇카메라, 마이크로폰, 기타 센서를 통해 인지 및 정서적으로 상호작용할 수 있도록 로봇시스템 및 상호작용 환경을 디자인하고 구현 및 평가하는 지능형 서비스 로봇의 핵심기술이다. 본 고에서는 오디오 기반 인간로봇 상호작용 기술 중에서 음원 추적(sound localization)과 화자인식(speaker recognition) 기술의 국내외 기술동향을 살펴보고 최근 ETRI 지능형로봇연구단에서 상용화를 추진중인 시청각 기반 음원 추적(audio visual sound localization)과 문장독립 화자인식(text-independent speaker recognition)기술들을 다룬다. 또한 이들 기술들을 가정환경에서 효과적으로 사용하기 위해 음성인식, 얼굴검출, 얼굴인식 등을 결합한 시나리오에 대해서 살펴본다.

'Joy' Promotes Supportive Reactions in Social Interactions ('즐거움'은 지지적 정서 표현을 유발한다)

  • Positive affect has beneficial consequences in various life domains including social relational aspect. This study proposes that 'joy,' a highly arousing positive social emotion, promotes emotionally supportive reactions during a social interaction. In Study 1, after controlling for confounding personality characteristics (e.g., extraversion, agreeableness, adult attachment) and cognitive variables (e.g., empathy, self-esteem), positive affect predicted the amount of emotional support and enthusiasm one showed to a person who was describing a positive experience. The arousal dimension of positive emotion appeared to be the key in creating this outcome. Study 2 found that people were most likely to react in supportive ways (e.g., more laughing, emotion sharing, and active-constructive responses) to other's conversation after viewing a joy-inducing (rather than pride, awe, calm) film clip. These results partly explain why happy people are socially popular and suggest that one of the central functions of "joy" is to promote social bonding with others.

The Difference in Pupil Size Responding to Cognitive Load and Emotional Arousal Questions between Guilty and Innocent Groups (유죄 및 무죄 집단 간 인지적 부하 및 정서적 각성 질문에 따른 동공크기의 변화의 차이)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of emotional arousal and cognitive load on pupil diameter during a lie detection interview. The guilty group (n = 30) committed a mock crime (i.e., stealing cash) and the innocent group (n = 30) performed a mission (i.e., sending a message) in the research assistant's office. After that, their pupil size was measured using a wearable eye-tracker during the interview. The interview questions were classified with the three cognitive load, three emotional arousal, and three neutral questions. The results indicate that the main effects of group and time were not significant, but the interaction between group and time was significant. It means that when answering cognitive load questions, the guilty group showed larger increase in pupil diameter than the innocent group. The present study suggests that inducing cognitive load is more effective than inducing emotional arousal during an interview when using pupil diameter as an index of deception, and it is expected to improve the accuracy of lie detection.

The Effects of Components of Interactivity on Brand Equity in on-line Brand Community (온라인 브랜드커뮤니티에서의 상호작용성 구성요인이 브랜드 자산에 미치는 영향)

  • This study empirically examined the structural relationships among components of interactivity, affective commitment, and components of brand equity in on-line brand community. Interactivity was conceptualized as 4 components such as mapping, personalization, responsiveness and connectedness. Components of brand equity include brand associations, brand awareness, and brand loyalty. Using a sample of 127 university students of on-line brand community members in Busan, we empirically examined the study model. The results of this study showed that components of interactivity except connectedness had a significant effect on affective commitment, which in turn, had a significant positive effect on brand associations, brand awareness and brand loyalty.

The effect of student-perceived teacher's calling on student's well-being: Emotional support and adaptive cognitive emotion regulation as serial mediators (학생이 지각한 교사의 소명의식이 학생의 안녕감에 미치는 영향: 정서적 지지와 적응적 인지적 정서조절전략의 순차적 매개효과)

  • This study investigated the effect of student-perceived teacher's calling on student's well-being and the mediating effects of student-perceived emotional support and adaptive cognitive emotion regulation strategies. We analyzed data from 494 high school students in South Korea by using structural equation modeling. The results showed that student-perceived emotional support from the teachers mediated the relationship between student-perceived teacher's calling and adaptive cognitive emotion regulation strategies. Also, adaptive cognitive emotion regulation strategies mediated the relationship between student-perceived emotional support and student's well-being. Furthermore, student-perceived emotional support and adaptive cognitive emotion regulation strategies sequentially mediated the indirect positive relationship between student-perceived teacher's calling and student's well-being. Based on these results, implications and recommendations for future research are discussed.
