  • Objectives:This study was aimed at examining the emotional predictors of adolescent suicidal ideas in a community. Methods:The subjects were 1909 middle and high school students(936 males, 973 females) in Koyang-shi. We evaluated all subjects using Center for Epidemiologic Study for Depression(CES-D), Revised Children's Manifest Anxiety Scale(RCMAS), Korean-Youth Self Report(K-YSR), Psychological Self-1 of Offer's Self Image Questionnaire(PS-1 of OSIQ) and Suicide Ideation Questionnaire (SIQ). We compared the PS-1 of OSIQ scores of Anxious-depressive group(above cut-off points of CES-D, RCMAS and K-YSR) to those of control group, and conducted correlation analysis and stepwise multiple regression analysis to all subjects. Results:The number of anxious-depressive group was 126(6.58%) among 1909 subjects with significant gender difference(M:F ratio 1:1.5). Both PS-1 of OSIQ and SIQ scores were significantly higher in Anxious-depressive group than in control group. There were significant correlations among the scales:CES-D, RCMAS, A/D of K-YSR, PS-1 of OSIQ and SIQ. Through stepwise multiple regression analysis, we found that significant predictors of suicidal idea were CES-D, RCMAS and A/D of K-YSR. Conclusion:Anxious-depressive adolescents may be the high-risk group for suicidality and need preventive interventions of suicidality in a community.

The strongest motivations of drinking was the social motivation. In terms of drinking behavior, the most common drinking frequency was 3-4 times a year. The most common drinking amount was two 500cc mugs of beer. The significant predictors to explain the variance of the frequency of drinking was motivations to cope with, age, and salary-related stress. The mentally challenged drink more often when they have coping motivations and salary-related stress, and when they are younger. • Although importance of music education for the mentally retarded children is realized, it is hard to improve study effects for those children with the existing music education methods due to cognitive disorders of the children. In the paper, we propose a system to improve music cognition ability of the mentally retarded children. The system is designed based on the existing MMCP theory. Our system has the following characteristics. First, the system can improve cognitive, physical, social and emotional development as well as development of music cognition ability. A stabilized appropriate color of city environment gives a psychological social cultural effect to the people and also can be a useful method even in public information of city image, To give a citizen sensitive aesthetic and emotional satisfaction, a systematic rational design approach is necessary in an environment color plan. Hereupon, this study suggests one model of a concrete substantial color design through analyzing a present condition, for example, an existing environment, a case study about similar space, and a question investigation for finding out preference image and applying them to the color design. Through a rational systematic environment color design one can expect several effects making identity in a region, increasing a peculiar image or unity reinforcement by total application of color scheme, creating a visual environment with aesthetic characteristic, and efficiency of continuous color management system.

It was confirmed that in order to increase the career maturity of junior college students, it is necessary to understand the interpersonal relationship including information and evaluation of the student environment, effective support, and emotional interest, and it is necessary to find a way to perceive high social support. In the effect of social support on career maturity, career decision self-efficacy was found to have a partial mediating effect. Instructors should support students who have anxiety about their uncertain future so that they can increase their self-esteem and self-efficacy so that they can enhance their career maturity.

  • The purpose of this study is to search for the direction of informal science education research by analyzing them from the educational perspectives of informal science education. For this purpose, this study analyzed 144 journals related to informal science education that have been issued in the last six years in terms of educational perspectives. As a result, this study found a tendency for studies to be biased towards a few educational perspectives such as scientific practice participation, emotional enhancement, and understanding of knowledge, while studies on the understanding of nature of science have been conducted in a few cases. This tendency was also found in the analysis of the detailed media in each field, however, the biased educational perspectives varied from media to media. Therefore, in order to understand various aspects of informal science education itself, which is not a subsidy of formal school education, and to deeply understand what each media is trying to pursue, it should be done with various educational perspectives in each media study.

Based on this, questionnaire items were constructed. The survey method was conducted in two ways, online and offline (face-to-face), and statistical analysis was performed based on a total of 60 questionnaires collected. The results indicate the higher the user's experience with the physical environment and convenience, the higher the satisfaction level, but library accessibility had no significant effect. In addition, library staff attitude and problem-solving ability had a great influence on user satisfaction, and problem-solving ability had a more important influence than kindness and emotional pleasure was found to have an mediating effect.

  • The purpose of this study is to shed light on the meaning and value of interest (in Korean 'Jae-mi') in science education through literature analysis. Literature analyses were conducted on literature related to interest in various fields such as Korean language, psychology, philosophy, and education. Specifically, this study discussed the meaning of interest, the characteristics of the context of experiencing interest, the educational value of interest in science education, and the direction of science education to realize the value of interest. First, it was found that interest is an experience of emotional activation that can be felt through interaction with a specific object, and it is an emotional experience caused by the complex combination of various psychological factors, which is oriented sense, relationship, self, and object. Second, to understand the context of experience of interest, we conducted a topic modeling analysis with 1173 research articles related to interest. As a result of the analysis, it was confirmed that the context of interest is closely related with playfulness. And we addressed that this kind of playfulness is also found in science. Third, the educational values of interest in science education were discussed. In science education, fun is not only an instrumental value to induce science learning behavior, it is also one of the universal experiences that learners feel lively in science teaching-learning, and driving force of individual students' emotional development related to science. The students' active attitude to feel interest lead to creative thinking and action. Finally, we argued that the interest that should be aimed in science education should be active interest and experienced at trial and error, not passive interest induced by external stimuli. And science education culture should be encouraged to respect those who enjoy science. In particular, this study discussed the importance of each student's unique interest experience based on the philosophy of philosopher Deleuze (1976).

A total of 139 university male students in D area completed a self-reporting questionnaires to assess general characteristics, drinking motives, drinking refusal self-efficacy, alcohol outcome expectancy, and amount of drinking. The subjects were divided into high risk drinking and normal drinking based on a CDC guideline. The results of study show that high risk drinking group has higher odds for current smoking (adjusted OR=2.95, 95% CI [1.08, 8.05]), psychology major (adjusted OR=3.79, 95% CI [1.05, 13.71]), and enhancement motives (adjusted OR=2.64, 95% CI [1.15, 6.09]), whereas lower odds for junior grade (adjusted OR=0.21, 95% CI [0.05, 0.96]) and drinking refusal self-efficacy in social pressure (adjusted OR=0.42, 95% CI [0.24, 0.73]). The results suggest that drinking educational nursing intervention and smoking cessation program for university students are necessary to prevent high risk drinking effects.
