The most widely used information searching method in the current internet environment is the keyword-based one, which has certain limitations in terms of precision and recall. Most major internet portals provide directory-based searching as a means to complement these limitations. However, that they adopt different classification schemes brings significant inconvenience to the users, and it consequently suggests a need to develop mapping gateway to provide cross-portal, or cross-directory information searching. In this context, this study attempts to develop a prototype system of intermediary gateway for integrated search, using the directory services of three major portals, Naver, Yahoo and Empas, and test its performance.

Navigation or Portal sites is providing real-time information of roads according to heavy rain in guide services for finding a path recently. Especially "e-traffic alerts" is providing traffic information according to the presence of road flooding and accidents. This research is goal to provide drivers to real-time status information of roads which have the connected its information to support the real-time rainfall information of meteorological office and portal sites. We suggest the evaluation method of risk roads combined the real-time rainfall information and portal information.

In this study, to expand and develop the policy information portal (POINT) of the National Library of Korea Sejong. This study conducted a survey and in-depth interview with government officials and policy researchers. The suggested ways to support the policy information portal (POINT) in the future. As a result of the analysis, the use of the current policy information portal service was found to be low, and it was found that improvement of information access, integrated search, and expansion of information provision data were more necessary. It was suggested that a one-stop service should be implemented to provide various information, systematic information on related data for each task, overseas trend data, core service data, promotion activation, data linkage by strengthening cooperation with various government ministries and research institutes, and easy information provision and menu composition.

The study aims to look into relations between internet portal images and long-term orientation for continuing growth in the internet portal market with intensifying competition. In detail, the study aimed to identify the effect of the Internet portal image on long-term orientation and the relationship between satisfaction and the intention to recommend. As a result of an empirical analysis, the attribute of the image evaluation of the Internet portal sites was deduced to be a factor which included the affordances of information, entertainment and additional services, customer services, and convenience. All the four areas were found to significantly affect long-term orientation. Specifically, the affordances of information and entertainment and additional services were shown to be the most influential. In addition, the finding turned out that long-term orientation affected significantly consumer satisfaction and recommendation intention, and the satisfaction of relative portal had a significant effect on recommendation intention. These research results are supposed to be useful basic data for establishing competitive strategies of differentiated Internet portals in the market.

본 연구에서는 향후 IPv6로의 주소 체계 전환, 인터넷 서비스의 기술 발전, 개인 정보 보호 추세 등을 감안할 때, 기존 서버 중심의 포털 서비스들이 개인용 포털(personal portal) 중심의 인터넷 서비스로 진화해 것으로 예상되고 있다. 이러한 추세 속에서 활용도가 높은 인터넷 서비스 중의 하나인 인터넷 디스크 서비스의 비중은 점점 더 중요해 질 것이다. 본 연구에서는 향후 IPv6에서 더욱 필요성이 증가하는 동적 DNS 시스템을 기반으로 개인용 포털을 지향하는 인터넷 디스크 시스템의 설계 및 구현에 대해 연구한 것이다.

The research on the archiving performing arts has recently been conducted on various aspects in Korea, but there has been no research or attempts to build a digital archive that can systematically identify the information on classical music performances in one place and get the past performance information. In this study, we proposed a participatory archive portal for providing, preserving and servicing information on all classical music performances, and tried to design the functions based on the requirements of the performance archive portal identified in previous research. We identified and proposed functional requirements of the portal, reorganized the characteristics of classical music performance information, and designed metadata elements. Then we presented the design and implementation direction of search and facet navigation, as well as user participation and communication functions. Lastly, we developed a prototype that implemented the requirements of the interface.

최근 스마트폰과 테블릿 PC의 보급률이 증가하면서 사용자들이 얻을 수 있는 정보 또한 급증하고 있다. 하지만 과도한 정보 공급으로 사용자들은 제공받은 정보를 효율적으로 활용하지 못하는 경우도 늘고 있는 추세이다. 기존의 시스템은 단순히 사용자나 정보 제공자가 입력한 정보만 제공하는 수동적인 역할만 하며 이는 효과적인 정보를 얻는데 한계가 있다. 이런 문제점을 해결하기 위해 본 논문에서는 사용자의 주변 상황정보와 추론엔진을 이용해 사용자가 필요로 하는 정보를 보다 효과적으로 제공해 줄 수 있는 사용자 친화적 생활 포털 시스템을 제안한다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 생활 포털 시스템을 통해 사용자는 본인이 원하는 정보를 효율적이고 효과적으로 활용할 수 있다.

This study aims to perform an evaluation of classification systems provided by major Korean search portals, Naver, Nate, Daum, and Yahoo-Korea. These classification systems are evaluated in terms of the consistency of classification system, logicality of classification system, ease of interface, clarity of category names, order of category and site listing, and hierarchical structure. The results of this study show that each search portal provides separate classification systems for their services. These results imply that it is crucial for search portals to implement a common classification system and a common interface for their services. This study could contribute to the development and improvement of portals' classification systems.

In recent rears. web portal system has received much attention as a user interface for the grid environment. Grid system uses symmetric key for authenticating user identity while the traditional portal system does a password-based authentication. Regarding this, many researches are progressing to integrate portal accounts with symmetric key. Specially. researches such as GAMA and PURSE are active and those focus on easy usability for users who familiar with password-based authentication. However the protection of data and resources is a critical issue in Grid environment, because those are shared through a wide-area network. In this paper, we suggest a new authentication mechanism which unify authentication mechanisms between portal system and grid service by using symmetric key. It will improve a security level in UI layer as much as in grid service.

This study attempted to empirically analyze how the use of portal news is related with user's social credibility levels. 1100 subjects were sampled and online-surveyed. The amount of news usage and level of social credibility were measured respectively by the PNRBS(Portal News Readership Behavior Score) and SCI(Social Credibility Index) which were developed by the researcher. The results show that the relationship between scocial credibility and portal new use is not a linear but some V type. In terms of the mean score of social credibility index, non-portal news user is the highest while the light user is the lowest and the heavy user is the second highest.
