Comparison of Autonomous Learning Effectiveness between Cyber Study and Off-line Learning (사이버학습과 인쇄 매체 학습의 자율적 학습 효과성 비교)

  • The purpose of this paper is to compare the learning effectiveness of autonomous learning between on-line cyber learning using Internet media and off-line learning using printed media. In this study, each group is provided with the same learning contents and the same learning conditions. For autonomous learning the results revealed a significant difference between on-line cyber learning being not as effective as off-line learning. In order to improve the effectiveness of on-line cyber learning the negative aspects have been identified. These findings will help to improve the development of on-line learning effectiveness.

  • In this paper, conventional STM(Synchronous Transfer Mode) supports another traffics by using idle channels. Proposed mobile terminals are distributed independently at the BSA(Basic Service Area). So, MAC(Medium Access Control) specified on the wireless ATM networks, which is managing statistics multiplewing functions, idle channel's ultilization is maximized and multimedia service characteristic for conventional wired networks based fixed assignment scheme(connection-oriented) and random assignment scheme(connection-oriented) improving on dynamic reservation based MAC protocol.

  • 공개된 네트워크 시스템 상에서의 개인 정보를 보호하기 위해 사용자 인증은 시스템 보안에 있어서 중요한 요소이다. 패스워드 기반의 인증 메커니즘은 비용과 효율성의 측면에서 널리 사용되고 있으며 최근 이중요소인증(Two-Factor Authentication)의 한 수단으로 일회용 패스워드(One-Time Password, OTP)를 도입하고 있다. 본고에서는 일회용 패스워드에 대한 인증 기술과 OTP 통합 인증 센터로 구성되는 OTP 통합 인증 시스템에 대해 검토하며 취약성에 대해 살펴보고 이에 대한 대응 방안으로 서비스 제공자의 식별자를 포함한 일회용 패스워드 생성 매체를 이용하는 사용자 인증 시스템을 구성한다. 또한 USB 토큰 형태의 일회용 패스워드 매체를 이용하여 다수의 서비스 제공자의 일회용 패스워드를 지원하는 인증 시스템을 제안한다.

  • 현대 사회가 정보화 사회로 변천해 감에 따라 정보처리 장치를 많이 사용하게 되었으며 기계와 인간을 연결하는 매체가 필요하게 되었다. 이러한 매체중의 하나로 부각되어진 것이 영상정보표시장치이며 현재는 다종의 DISPLAY가 사용되고 있다. 이러한 DISPLAY중에서도 현재까지 가장 많이 이용되고 있는 DISPLAY DEVICE는 CRT와 CPT가 있지만 소비전력이 많고 무거우며 부피가 크다는 단점을 가지고 있기 때문에 보다 새로운 DISPLAY DEVICE가 요구되게 되었다.

  • VG-AnyLAN is a local area network standard developed by the IEEE 802.12 project. While preserving the frame format of IEEE 802.3, VG-AnyLAN adopts a new medium access control called Demand Priority where transmission requests of stations are arbitrated by a control hub in a round-robin manner. Unlike CSMA/CD which is the medium access control of IEEE 802.3, the Demand Priority, while providing the maximum bound on the packet delay, does not put the limit on the network segment size. In this paper, we analyze the delay and the channel utilization performances of the medium access control of IEEE 802.12 VG-AnyLAN. We develope an analytic model of the system under assumptions that each station generates traffic of the equal priority and that the packets are of fixed length. Using the analytic model, we obtain the recursive expression of the average channel utilization and the average access delay The numerical results obtained via analysis are compared to the simulation results of the system for a partial validation of our analysis.

  • It is necessary for us to have proper synchronization technology in order for continuous media and non-continuous media to be integrated and presented. In case of continuous media, it would be possible to convey significant information only after relevant synchronization is completed in the continuous media itself. In this thesis, I mentioned integration of these multi-media, basic notion of synchronization and synchronization technology. In order to process synchronization, I have researched into information used to fractionize methods regarding synchronization. And I have also discussed synchronization problems found in integration of continuous multi-media and through researching into case study of MHEG, I have analyzed how the synchronization of multi-media is processed and applied.

  • Recently, Dennis et al.(2008) proposed media synchronicity theory. In this theory, for conveyance communication processes, use of media supporting lower synchronicity should result in better communication performance. But for convergence processes, use of media supporting higher synchronicity should result in better communication performance. This paper proved a part of the propositions of media synchronicity theory, because media synchronicity theory was proposed theoretically, not empirically. We used a data set generated from the survey. The respondents of survey were 163 students who had experienced the communication media in the classes that should summit result of team projects or team reports. According to the results of data analysis, higher use of communication media led to better learning performance. The familiarity of task moderated the effect of communication media on learning performance. And use of media supporting higher synchronicity led to better learning performance.

  • Recently leakages of confidential information and internal date have been steadily increasing by using booting technique on portable OS such as Windows PE stored in portable storage devices (USB or CD/DVD etc). This method allows to bypass security software such as USB security or media control solution installed in the target PC, to extract data or insert malicious code by mounting the PC's storage devices after booting up the portable OS. Also this booting method doesn't record a log file such as traces of removable storage devices. Thus it is difficult to identify whether the data are leaked and use trace-back technique. In this paper is to propose method to help facilitate the process of digital forensic investigation or audit of a company by collecting and analyzing BIOS firmware images that record data relating to BIOS settings in flash memory and finding traces of portable storage devices that can be regarded as abnormal events.

  • Optical discs' capacity has increased. In case of Blu-Disc, it can store data up to 25 GB. Due to the large capacity, it can substitute tape devices for the use of backup. However, optical discs' surfaces are exposed so that it can lose data easily by exterior damages like scratches. Therefore additional reliability must be provided to maintain data for a long time. In this paper, we suggest a writing technique that gives optical discs additional reliability. Redundant data, generated by LDPC codes, are stored in disc along with the original data. These original data and redundant data are scattered over the disc to avoid losing a large part of data with one scratch. By deploying data with the distance that provides the reliability a user wants, we can enhance optical discs' reliability.
