This article provides a practical organizational IT ROI evaluation methodology which had been developed by Samsung Group. In order to manage huge IT investment and ROI systematically, firms should establish a management system which can measure various types of IT expenditures, tangible and intangible outcomes of hundreds of KPIs, etc. An episode about the development process and some distinctive features of the methodology were summarized. Finally, we added a real evaluation case of one Samsung affiliate company.

In recent, Information Technology(IT) is the biggest issue on the world at large including construction industry as core strategic means for reinforcing competitive power of company and nation and raising its effectiveness. However, CEO of each finn is deferring IT investment decision because there's no case to measure real value of IT and confidence to economic effect of information system. IT Evaluation will be so helpful that most construction finns make a plan of IT investment. and it is necessary to achieve their management goal and have the maximum of firm's value with the usage of IT system. Therefore, The purpose of this research is to promote the increase of IT investment and the improvement of the standard in IT with the development of IT evaluation system to be monitoring IT level continually.

The Korean manufacturing companies have endeavored to reinforce the competitive power and improve the productivity in the managerial environment that rapidly changes. Enterprises should not only carry out business management activities strategically but also recognize the importance on the strategic use of information technology in order to overcome competition and survive under the situation of such keen competition as nowadays. Quality Management(QM) starts from the fact that all the members of an organization to understand and satisfy customers' needs. Therefore, the main purpose of QM lies in the satisfaction of customers' needs, systematic cooperation among departments and the improvement of total business processes. This study was derived from the literature review in relation to improvement of QM. In conclusion. the proper use of Information Technology will significantly increase the performance of QM activities in a company.

대기업에 비하여 한정적인 인적, 물적 자산을 보유한 중소기업은 정보화를 통하여 단순한 경영환경의 변화가 아니라 생산성 향상과 거래비용 절감을 통한 기업 경쟁력를 확보하고 있다. 그러나 중소기업의 핵심정보가 IT융합 환경속에서 정보화됨으로써 경쟁기업이나 해외로 유출되고 있으며, 그 규모는 매해 증가하고 있다. 중소기업들이 보유하고 있는 핵심기술을 보호하고 지속가능한 성장을 보장하기 위해서는 중소기업의 규모와 정보화 수준을 고려하여 전략적으로 정보보호 체계를 구축할 필요성이 있다. 따라서 본고에서는 중소기업 특성을 고려한 전략적 정보보호 체계구축 방향을 제시하고자 하였다. 세부적으로 중소기업의 정보화 및 정보보호 현황을 분석하고, 이에 부합되는 적정 수준의 중소기업 정보보호 수행체계를 설계하였다.

Understanding of the length of time required to realize the return on the investment of informatization is important for policy makers and decision makers of information system adoption. Previous researchers, however, assessed this issue with the performance measurement approach that was primarily based on static point of view. However, the static analysis on the outcome of the informatization investment is limited in measuring the priori and ex ante effects of the informatization implementation on temporal basis. This study present a methodology to capture the outcome of the informatization investment on dynamic basis. This assessment was performed based on an e-government project in Korea, called "Industry Human Resource Project." Particularly, the study addressed how long it takes to obtain the benefit of WorkNet System, which was part of this Korean e-government project. We proposed various approaches to illustrate the importance and temporal effect of the WorkNet System by analyzing DB data, time reduction of WorkNet business processes and return of investment of IT.
