A study on user behavior of IPTV-based interactive public services (IPTV기반 양방향 공공서비스 이용형태에 관한 연구)

  • As one of leading media converging broadcasting and telecommunications, IPTV is required to pursuit the idea of public interest from broadcasting industry and universal service from telecommunications industry as well as satisfying industrial effect. It needs to consider both industrial effect and public benefit when vitalizing IPTV services. The project of providing IPTV-based interactive public services is expected to enhance accessibility of public services, present shape of new public service in broadcasting-telecommunication convergence environment, resolve the shortage in contents supply which is one of most important problems in IPTV services. In this research understanding the overall response such as service usage status, satisfying/dissatisfying factor, trend of preference of the customer using IPTV-based interactive public services, we analyze what the public service mean in IPTV environment and public identity of IPTV. And we have investigate effective developing method and ripple effect of IPTV-based public services on broadcasting and telecommunications converged ecosystems.

  • News service provide professional knowledge which can't be gained from any other internet service and the only way to keep pace with professional group. To get this advantage, many country provide news service and three major korean news server connected with foreign news server provide many articles to korea. A lot of institutes - company, research centers and universities - forward articles to home and abroad. In spite of this important effect, The user of news service and technical supports grow smaller. And now It is necessary for a nation to support and operate by non-profitable business. Especially, partially adapted security weaken entire system safety and can't satisfy service provider of various necessary condition. In this paper, we will mention troubles in authentication and suggest safety authentication method which must be supported by established news service.

  • An accurate feedback about customer satisfaction is a very important factor to efficiently manage achievements in the service industry. However, Korea is lack of quantitative and standardized system of customer satisfaction measurement. This paper suggests standardized survey system with more in-depth and various methods of questionnaire survey as well as analysis which is able to efficiently evaluate customer satisfaction. This system is that investigates customer satisfaction of process based services, which uses various methods including simply designed questionnaires, customer satisfaction survey via mobile, and an investigation on follow-up satisfaction rate. In addition, we adopted scoring system to digitize a degree of satisfaction rate, so the suggested system provides an opportunity to improve specific objects those need to be improved by clearly evaluating a degree of satisfaction rate and applying various analysis techniques, such as IPA (Importance Performance Analysis), process analysis, and expectation analysis etc. This study substantiates suggested system through applying it to travel agency which is a representative enterprise of tour service.

  • Internet Service Quality has been constantly the center of attention to Internet Service Providers. The KII project plan (Korea Information Infrastructure) aims to build broadband backbone networks mainly through optical fiber cables and ATM switches and to Provide the government ministries, local authorities and non-profit organizations with high-speed, highly capable broadband access to these networks at reasonable rates. The KB service model, however, is different from other Internet Service models much in the same way SP (Service Provider) and NP (Network Provider) differ from each other. In this paper, we evaluate KII service according to various customer satisfaction indicators under the methodologies and categories as put forth in both the ACSI (American Customer Satisfaction Index) and SEM (Structural Equation Model). We use a structural equation model (SEM) to demarcate the Korea Information Infrastructure Customer Satisfaction Index (KIICSI) in relation to network service quality. The results of our study suggest some strategies for the KII Project need to be modified and effectively implemented in order to increase the satisfaction level of the KII customers.

  • PDA(Personal Digital Assistant)와 같은 Mobile 이동통신기기를 사용한 인터넷 쇼핑은 향후 E-Commerce 시장에서 가장 크게 확산되어질 한 분야로 부상되고 있다. 그러나 현재 인터넷상에 혼재 되어있는 수많은 정보에 대하여 Mobile Environment상의 제한된 Screen Size와 더불어 느린 통신 속도, 무선 인터넷 접속시의 높은 비용 등의 문제로 다량의 정보에 대한 확인과 검색이 어렵고, 고객이 원하지 않는 정보 또한 산재되어 있어 개인화(Personalization)된 검색 서비스의 요구가 대두되는 실정이다. 이로 인해 본 연구에서는 PDA 및 Handhold PC를 이용하는 User의 취향 정보와 만족도 등을 기준으로 보다 편리하고 효율적인 개인화 Interface의 제공 및 이를 이용한 손쉬운 검색 방식을 제시한다. 또한 User 인터랙션 정보를 통해 Feedback함으로써 보다 완벽하게 User 개인별 취향에 접근할 수 있는 Browsing기법을 제시한다.

  • 무선 통신에 있어서, 사용자의 빈번한 이동 환경에서 핸드오버 지연은 서비스 질을 만족 시키는 중요한 요소이다. RH-MIPv6는 MAP의 실패나 오류에 대해 결함 인내한 특성을 가지고 있다. 그러나 이 RH-MIPv6의 사용자의 이동 환경을 지원하는데 두 번의 지역적인 바인딩은 효율적이지 못하다. 이러한결함 인내한 특성을 가지고 있고 과도한 시그널링 오버헤드를 줄인 사용자의 이동환경에 적합한 시스템을 연구하고자 한다.

  • On-Line Communication을 지원하기 위한 수많은 연구의 결과로 수많은 응용 프로그램들 만들어졌다. 이러한 서버들은 폭발적으로 증가하는 사용자들의 요청을 효과적으로 대처하기에는 한계가 있다. 사용자들의 요청을 만족시키기 위해서는 효과적인 분산 서버를 구축할 필요가 있으며, 분산 서버를 구축하는데 있어 기존에 개발한 프로그램의 변화를 최소화할 필요가 있다. 본 논문에서는 On-Line Communication을 가능하게 하는 서버를 확장하는 방법과 기존 서버를 분산 서버로 변경할 때 발생하는 문제를 해결하는 방법을 제시한다.

A Efficient Cloaking Region Creation Scheme using Hilbert Curves in Distributed Grid Environment (분산 그리드 환경에서 힐버트 커브를 이용한 효율적인 Cloaking 영역 설정 기법)

  • Recent development in wireless communication and mobile positioning technologies makes Location-Based Services (LBSs) popular. However, because, in the LBSs, users request a query to database servers by using their exact locations, the location information of the users can be misused by adversaries. Therefore, a mechanism for users' privacy protection is required for the safe use of LBSs by mobile users. For this, we, in this paper, propose a efficient cloaking region creation scheme using Hilbert curves in distributed grid environment, so as to protect users' privacy in LBSs. The proposed scheme generates a minimum cloaking region by analyzing the characteristic of a Hilbert curve and computing the Hilbert curve values of neighboring cells based on it, so that we may create a cloaking region to satisfy K-anonymity. In addition, to reduce network communication cost, we make use of a distributed hash table structure, called Chord. Finally, we show from our performance analysis that the proposed scheme outperforms the existing grid-based cloaking method.

SGOSST Mechanism for Quality of Service In Network (네트워크 QoS를 위한 SGOSST 메커니즘)

  • Because of boost of communications devices furnishing diverse services and rapid expansion of mobile business, good use and management of the existing network system become very important. Also, offering service corresponding with user communication requirement grades which vary widely in each person, is vital for communication service provider. In this paper, SGOSST, a mechanism of efficient network construction with minimum cost for network QoS is proposed. In experiments, though spending 252.97% more execution times, our SGOSST QoS network consumed 5.11% less connecting costs than the network constructed by weighted minimum spanning tree method. Therefore our mechanism can work well for efficient operation and service providing in the network formed with users and communication devices of various service requirement grade as smart/mobile equipment.

  • RFID(Radio Frequency Identification) 기술은 사물에 전자 태그를 부착하여 무선 인터페이스를 통해 사물의 정보를 자동으로 취득 할 수 있는 기술이다. 물류의 재고관리나 자동화 처리를 위해 주로 사용되었으나 최근에는 Cellular phone, PDA등 휴대용기기 에 RFID리더가 탑재되어 기존의 응용 이외에 다양한 서비스를 만들어 내려는 시도들이 나타나고 있다[1],[2]. 이는 궁극적으로는 모든 사물에 컴퓨팅 및 통신 기능을 부여하여 언제, 어디서, 무엇이든 통신이 가능한 환경을 구현함으로써 이제까지 사람 중심(Person to Person)에서 사물 중심(Machine to Machine) 정보화 사회로의 새로운 변화 시도이며 RFID기술은 진정한 Ubiquitous세상이 만들어지기 위한 주요 기술로서 지속적으로 발전되고 적용되어야 할 기술임이 분명하다. 이러한 사회적인 요구에 만족하기 위해서 RFID 기술도 변화하고 있고 새로운 기술적 이슈들이 나타나게 되었다. 본고에서는 RFID 기술의 변화를 알아보고, 특히 UHF 대역 RFID 리더가 Cellular phone에 내장되기 위해 소형화 및 저전력화가 되면서 발생하는 문제와 이의 해결방안을 살펴보고자 한다.
