This means that the higher the information technology ability and information utilization ability in the information utilization ability of the elderly, the higher the life satisfaction. Especially, information literacy has a greater effect on life satisfaction than information technology ability. However, information provision ability and information criticism ability did not have a significant effect on life satisfaction. Information literacy is the set of skills needed to find, retrieve, analyze, and use information. Therefore, information literacy which should be the core goal of the university education has been a new trend of the library instruction. Based on these. the outline of the needed procedure for the enforcement of the information literacy in the university of our country is suggested.
