Modern businesses are adopting new technologies to serve their markets better as well as to improve efficiency and productivity. The advertising industry has continuously experienced disruptions from the traditional channels (radio, television and print media) to new complex ones including internet, social media and mobile-based advertising. This case study focuses on proposing intelligent advertising business model in Seoul's metro network. Seoul has one of the world's busiest metro network and transports a huge number of travelers on a daily basis. The high number of travelers coupled with a well-planned metro network creates a platform where marketers can initiate engagement and interact with both customers and potential customers. In the current advertising model, advertising is on illuminated and framed posters in the stations and in-car, non-illuminated posters, and digital screens that show scheduled arrivals and departures of metros. Some stations have digital screens that show adverts but they do not have location capability. Most of the current advertising media have one key limitation: space. For posters whether illuminated or not, one space can host only one advert at a time. Empirical literatures show that there is room for improving this advertising model and eliminate the space limitation by replacing the poster adverts with digital advertising platform. This new model will not only be digital, but will also provide intelligent advertising platform that is driven by data. The digital platform will incorporate location sensing, e-commerce, and mobile platform to create new value to all stakeholders. Travel cards used in the metro will be registered and the card scanners will have a capability to capture traveler's data when travelers tap their cards. This data once analyzed will make it possible to identify different customer groups. Advertisers and marketers will then be able to target specific customer groups, customize adverts based on the targeted consumer group, and offer a wide variety of advertising formats. Format includes video, cinemagraphs, moving pictures, and animation. Different advert formats create different emotions in the customer's mind and the goal should be to use format or combination of formats that arouse the expected emotion and lead to an engagement. Combination of different formats will be more effective and this can only work in a digital platform. Adverts will be location based, ensuring that adverts will show more frequently when the metro is near the premises of an advertiser. The advertising platform will automatically detect the next station and screens inside the metro will prioritize adverts in the station where the metro will be stopping. In the mobile platform, customers who opt to receive notifications will receive them when they approach the business premises of advertiser. The mobile platform will have indoor navigation for the underground shopping malls that will allow customers to search for facilities within the mall, products they may want to buy as well as deals going on in the underground mall. To create an end-to-end solution, the mobile solution will have a capability to allow customers purchase products through their phones, get coupons for deals, and review products and shops where they have bought a product. The indoor navigation will host intelligent mobile-based advertisement and a recommendation system. The indoor navigation will have adverts such that when a customer is searching for information, the recommendation system shows adverts that are near the place traveler is searching or in the direction that the traveler is moving. These adverts will be linked to the e-commerce platform such that if a customer clicks on an advert, it leads them to the product description page. The whole system will have multi-language as well as text-to-speech capability such that both locals and tourists have no language barrier. The implications of implementing this model are varied including support for small and medium businesses operating in the underground malls, improved customer experience, new job opportunities, additional revenue to business model operator, and flexibility in advertising. The new value created will benefit all the stakeholders.

In order to decide the naval ship weapon system acquisition for national policy/market economy activities, the decision makers can determine policy based on current technology level/concentration/utilization. For this, the decision makers apply the major common technology field analysis using patents data. As a method for collecting patent data, we can collect patent data of domestic mobile carriers through the Korea Intellectual Property Rights Information System of Korean Intellectual Property Office. As a result, we collected 14,964 patents/352 International Patent Classification(IPC) types. Based on these data, we performed three analysis processes (SNA, PCA, ARIMA, Text Mining) and got each result from extracting 58 IPC types of SNA and 7 IPC types of PCA. Based on the analysis results, we have confirmed that 7 IPC(B63B, H01M, F03D, B01D, H02K, B23K, H01H) types are the Major Common Technology Distribution of domestic Defense Companies.

Extracting keywords representing documents is very important because it can be used for automated services such as document search, classification, recommendation system as well as quickly transmitting document information. However, when extracting keywords based on the frequency of words appearing in a web site documents and graph algorithms based on the co-occurrence of words, the problem of containing various words that are not related to the topic potentially in the web page structure, There is a difficulty in extracting the semantic keyword due to the limit of the performance of the Korean tokenizer. In this paper, we propose a method to select candidate keywords based on semantic similarity, and solve the problem that semantic keyword can not be extracted and the accuracy of Korean tokenizer analysis is poor. Finally, we use the technique of extracting final semantic keywords through filtering process to remove inconsistent keywords. Experimental results through real web pages of small business show that the performance of the proposed method is improved by 34.52% over the statistical similarity based keyword selection technique. Therefore, it is confirmed that the performance of extracting keywords from documents is improved by considering semantic similarity between words and removing inconsistent keywords.
Purpose: The purpose of this research is to induce domestic eyewear industry to invest in research and development of eyewear manufacturing technology and eyewear design. Methods: Analysis of Industrial Rights using data issued by Korea Intellectual Property Office and search results by 'Kipris' (Korea Intellectual Property Rights Information Service). Results: A number of Industrial Rights Application related to eyewear of eyewear industry has rapidly increased since 1980's. The ratio of Patent and Design Right applications related to eyewear by foreigner has continually decreased, 55%, 32.9% in 1980's, 40%, 22% in 1990's and 27%, 13.9% in 2000's. This shows domestic eyewear industry has developed technology and design on eyewear more and more. But numbers of Design Right applications in 1990's were about 60 in a year and those in 2000's were about 70 in a year. This may explain a few eyewear company have applied for Design Right. Conclusions: It is evident that domestic eyewear industry make an more effort and investment to develop eyewear manufacturing technology and design, but not enough. Actually, we don't know exactly how they develop and how much they invest. Now we need to research problems what they have and environments what they face.
Since the 1990s, fingerprint recognition has attracted much attention among scholars. There have been numerous studies on fingerprint recognition. However, most of the academic papers have focused mainly on how to make a technical advance of fingerprint recognition. there has been no significant output in the analysis of the research trends in fingerprint recognition. It's essential part to describe the overall structure of fingerprint recognition to make further studies much more efficient and effective. To this end, the primary purpose of this article is to deliver an overview of the research trends on fingerprint recognition based on network analysis. This study analyzed abstracts of the 122 academic journals ranging from 1990 to 2015. For gathering those data, the author took advantage of an academic searchable data base-RISS. After collecting abstracts, cleaning process was carried out and key words were selected by using Krwords and R; co-occurrence symmetric matrix made up of key words was created by Ktitle; and Netminer was employed to analyze closeness centrality. The result achieved from this work included followings: research trends in fingerprint recognition from 1990 to 2000, 2001 to 2005, 2006 to 2010, and 2011 to 2015.
In general, an airport access system has influenced on airport terminal operation. The congestion and delay in service facilities at an airport are definitely depended on the patterns of passenger arrival behavior and time spent in a terminal. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the passenger arrival behavior at an airport to improve the operations at passenger terminal. Passenger arrival patterns to an airport are mainly depended on factors such as the length of access time. reliability of access time. and provision of transport modes, etc. The focus of this paper is to estimate the relationship between the length of access time and passenger's total time spent to board aeroplane. For this, passenger surveys were conducted at the Gimpo International Airport for a large airport and Sacheon Airport for a small size airport. The mathematical relationship between arrival time at an airport prior to the scheduled time of departure(STD) and access time spent was then estimated. It is considered that the results of this study can be used to reduce congestion and delays, thereby to improve the efficiency of the passenger services at the airports.
The recommendation system automatically provides the predicted items which are expected to be purchased by analyzing the previous customer behaviors. This recommendation system has been applied to many e-commerce businesses, and it is generating positive effects on user convenience as well as the company's revenue. However, there are several limitations of the existing recommendation systems. They do not reflect specific criteria for evaluating products or the factors that affect customer buying decisions. Thus, our research proposes a collaborative recommendation model algorithm that utilizes each customer's online product reviews. This study deploys topic modeling method for customer opinion mining. Also, it adopts a kernel-based machine learning concept by selecting kernels explaining individual similarities in accordance with customers' purchase history and online reviews. Our study further applies a multiple kernel learning algorithm to integrate the kernelsinto a combined model for predicting the product ratings, and it verifies its validity with a data set (including purchased item, product rating, and online review) of BestBuy, an online consumer electronics store. This study theoretically implicates by suggesting a new method for the online recommendation system, i.e., a collaborative recommendation method using topic modeling and kernel-based learning.
Objectives: This study aimed to evaluate the change in weight and heart rate associated with the use of phentermine through meta-analysis based on the published literatures. Methods: Eight electronic databases, PubMed, EMBASE, Cochrane library, and five domestic databases were used to search the literature. Randomized controlled trials that evaluated the change in weight and heart rate with the use of phentermine compared with placebo were included in this study. The fixed-effect model weighted by the Mantel-Haenszel method was used in the meta-analysis, and the random-effects model was used when heterogeneity was present. Results: We included 12 studies comprising 677 patients. The change in weight observed with the use of phentermine (SMD = -1.37, 95% CI: -1.55, -1.19) was statistically significant compared with that observed with placebo. As per the subgroup analysis results, the change in weight by publication year, country, phentermine dosage, follow-up check was not heterogeneous. The change in heart rate observed with the use of phentermine (SMD = 0.64, 95% CI: 0.35, 0.92) was significant compared with that observed with placebo. Conclusions: Weight loss and increased heart rate were confirmed in phentermine compared with placebo.
The purpose of this study is to develop a hospice intervention program and present basic study data using a method of Meta analysis. Fifteen theses from 2002 to 2017 were collected from the on-line database at Korean Education and Research Information Service and other journals related hospice. Main keywords were 'hospice' and intervention'. The selected 15 theses were analyzed with publication bias, outcome of effect size, non-overlap percentage(U3), 95% confidence intervals and homogeneity. The result of the study is summarized as follows; Publication bias was stable and the effect size of hospice program was significant at. 99. The effective and significant regulation effects were publication years with 2003 to 2007(ES=1.24), publication types with journals(ES=1.33), majors with nursing sciences(ES=1.02), ages with 29 to 30(ES=1.09), later session(ES=1.06) and aroma(ES=1.12). Accordingly, this thesis has its meaning in that it used a Meta-analysis to analyze domestic theses of hospice intervention programs for the first time in Korea. This thesis will prodide specific guidance to researchers trying to develop and utilize hospice intervention programs resulting in helpful usages in professional hospice institutions with implementations of programs.
