Harmonic and Torque Ripple Reduction of Electric Propulsion System using 12-Pulse Diode Rectifier by Auxiliary Supply (보조 전원을 이용한 12 펄스 다이오드 정류기를 사용하는 추진시스템의 고조파 및 토크 리플 저감)

  • The input current of three phase rectifier which is mainly used in the propulsion system of the electric propulsion ship includes a variety of low order harmonics. To reduce these harmonics, the power conversion system, used in the large vessels which high power is required, is currently used the rectifiers of 12-pulse output, but it still has a problem that occurs $12{\pm}1$ harmonics. Also, in the case of the direct torque control technique which is widely used for the speed and torque control, the torque ripple is severe and the input current of motor has greatly included harmonics by the switching of the inverter. In order to reduce harmonics and improve the performance of torque control, this paper presents that the auxiliary supply assisted into the 12-pulse rectifier of the electric propulsion system using direct torque control technique. We confirm the validity of the proposed method through the simulation under the environment of a real vessel system.

  • 본 논문은 통신용전원장치와 같은 대용량의 DC 전원 장치에 적용하기 위하여 3상용 6 Switch로 구성된 Bridge로써 대용량 DC-DC converter에 적합한 Topology에 관한 것이다. 기본 동작은 기존의 Phase shifted ZVS PWM 방식을 사용하며, Bridge의 바깥쪽 양쪽암의 펄스폭을 제어하는데, 같은 펄스를 동시에 주는 방식과 각각 별도로 제어하는 방식, 두암의 위상을 지연시키는 방식에 관하여 연구하였다. 제안된 Topology들은 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 수행하여 그 동작특성을 확인하였고, 대용량에 적용할 수 있음을 확인하였다. 장치의 용량은 출력 500[A]/30[V] 회로를 구성하여 각각의 경우에 대하여 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션 결과를 제시하였다.

  • Recently, the domestic demand for weapon systems based on aircraft platforms is gradually increasing. In particular, the demand for effective precision guided missile(PGM) which cruises for several hundred kilometers after launch to strike the ground target is rising drastically, but it is in the early stages of development, and research based on it are limited. This paper is a study on the power converter unit(PCU) within PGM which is mounted on an aircraft platform based on MIL-STD-1760, which is an interface between an aircraft and PGM. We investigated the electrical properties and structure of the umbilical connector, and the aircraft/store electrical interconnection system. Also, the focus on the design specifications of the PCU that supplies power were described. This result 3 phase AC input, which is the state for the guided simulation power supply in the state of being mounted on an aircraft that rectification method with power factor correction(PFC) compared to bridge rectifier circuit. In the future, it may be used as a basis for power supply design on aircraft mounted weapon systems.

  • 3Phase PWM rectifier has become increasingly popular due to its capability of nearly sinusoidal waveform of the input current, and nearly unity power factor operation as a AC/DC rectifier of high capacity telecommunication power supply system. Generally, PI controller is used as a voltage controller of PWM rectifier and voltage controller must be designed to have low overshoot in transient state to get a reliability and stable operation. However, in the application of telecommunication in which load condition is varied very fast, the voltage controller must have a large bandwidth to reduce output voltage variation. The PI controller with large bandwidth arouse the excessive overshoot of the output voltage, and this large output voltage variation degrades the reliability of communication power of the three-phase PWM Rectifier. In this paper, new IP voltage controller for 3 phase PWM rectifier is proposed which has relatively low transient output voltage variation. The improved output characteristics of the transient state voltage responses of the starting and at load changes of the proposed voltage controller are proved by simulations and experiments.

Harmonic Reduction Scheme By the Advanced Auxiliary Voltage Supply (개선된 보조전원장치에 의한 고조파 저감대책)

  • Diode rectifiers are very popular in industry. However, they include large low-order harmonics in the input current and do not satisfy harmonic current content restrictions. To reduce the harmonics to the power system, several methods have been introduced. It is heavy and expensive solution to use passive filters as the solution for high power application. Another solution for the harmonic filter is utilization of active filter, but it is too expensive solution. Diode rectifiers with configurations using switching device have been introduced, but they are very complicated. The combined 12-pulse diode rectifier with the square auxiliary voltage supply has been introduced. It has the advantages that auxiliary circuit is simple and inexpensive compared to other strategies. The advanced auxiliary voltage supply in this thesis is presented as a new solution. When the square auxiliary voltage supply applied, the improvement of THD is 6~60[%] in whole load range. But when the advanced auxiliary voltage supply applied, it shows stable and excellent reduction effect of THD as 57~71[%]. Especially, for the case with 10[%] load factor, reduction effect of THD has little effect as 6[%] in the case of inserting a square auxiliary voltage supply. But when the proposed new solution applied, reduction effect has excellent effect as 71[%]. Theoretical analysis of the combined 12-pulse diode rectifier with the advanced auxiliary voltage supply is presented and control methods of the auxiliary supply is proposed. The reduction in the input current harmonics is verified by simulation using software PSIM.

  • 본 논문은 펄스 형태의 출력전류를 얻기 위한 직류 직원 장치의 성능분석에 관한 것이다. 직류 전원장치의 입력은 3상 3,300[V]이고 펄스 출력용량은 4.2MW( 600VDC, 7kADC)이며 용도는 플라즈마의 밀폐 및 구속을 위한 전자적 구동용이다. 펄스폭인 10초인 펄스 파형이 150초 주기로 출력되면서 동작함에 따라 전원장치를 구성하는 변압기와 위상제어 정류기의 용량선정시 전원장치의 성능과 설비비를 고려하여 최적화할 필요가 있다. 본 논문에서는 변압기의 용량선정시 역률과 전압강하를 고려하여 가능한 한 용량을 최소화하였으며 선정된 변압기에 대하여 변압기의 %Z에 따른 직류 출력전압 강하, 역류, 전고조파 왜율 등의 특성을 시뮬레이션을 통하여 분석하였으며 제작된 전원장치의 실험을 통하여 분석하였으며 제작된 전원장치의 실험을 통하여 분석의 타당성을 검증하였다. 특히, 전원장치의 과부하 동작시 변압기의 %Z가 출력성능에 미치는 영향에 대하여 중점적으로 시뮬레이션 하였으며 실험적으로 확인하였다.

  • 수배전반, 반도체 설비장치가 있는 FAB, 그리고 철도 전원실에 설치된 신호 전원 공급장치 및 정류기 내부에 화재발생 위험성이 내제되어 있으나, 기기 내부에 소화 장치가 설치되어 있지 않아서, 화재발생시 기기소실에 따른 1차 피해뿐만 아니라, 2차 피해가 막대하다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하고자 본 연구에서 제안하는 수배전반용 발화점감지 튜브 소화장치는 화재발생시 일정한 온도가 되면 튜브가 녹아 가스가 방출되면서 소화용기내의 소화약제가 방출되어 화재를 진압하는 장치로써 전력의 공급 없이도 화재의 감지 및 소화가 가능한 자동소화장치이다. 본 논문에서는 수배전반용 발화점 감지 튜브에 적합한 소화기를 개발하기 위해 소화기를 재설계 하였다.

전력구 내 지중선을 이용한 2W급 상용주파수 무선전력 수신장치 개발

  • 본 논문은 전력구 내 지중선에서 발생하는 상용주파수(60 Hz) 자기장을 이용한 2 W급 무선전력 수신장치를 제안한다. 제안하는 수신장치는 자성체와 구리도선을 포함하는 수신 코일, 장치의 개폐를 위한 손잡이, 직렬공진회로 및 정류기를 포함하는 부가회로로 구성된다. 수신장치는 3상 지중선 중 하나에 설치되어 전력구 내 조명 및 온습도 센서를 구동하는데 사용 가능하다. 수신장치의 자성체로는 높은 기계적 강도 및 포화 자속밀도를 가지는 규소강판 박편이 사용되었으며, 직렬공진회로를 사용하여 최대전력을 수신하였다. 수신장치의 공진회로는 3 이하의 낮은 공진계수를 가지기에 50 Hz 및 60 Hz 지중선에 범용으로 사용이 가능하다. 사용된 규소강판 및 구리선의 무게와 가격의 곱을 성능지수(Figure of Merit)로 선정하여 이를 최소화하는 설계를 수행하였다. 제작된 시작품의 무게는 약 750 g중으로 2.2 W LED부하 구동이 가능하며, 이때 지중선의 전류는 $100A_{rms}$로 가정하였다.

Active Front End Rectifier Control of DC Distribution System Using Neural Network (신경회로망을 적용한 직류배전시스템의 AFE 정류기 제어에 관한 연구)

  • As regulations of emissions from ships become more stringent, electric propulsion systems have been increasingly used to solve this problem in vessels ranging from large merchant ships to small and medium-sized ships. Methods for improving the efficiency of the electric propulsion system include the improvement of power sources; the use of a system linked to environmentally friendly power sources, such as batteries, fuel cells, and solar power; and the development of hardware and control methodology for rectifiers, power conversion devices, and propulsion motors. The method using a phase-shifting transformer with diodes has been widely used for rectification. Power semiconductor devices with grid connection to an environmentally friendly power source using DC distribution, a variable speed power source, and the application of small and medium-sized electric propulsion systems have been developed. Accordingly, the demand for active front-end (AFE) rectifiers is increasing. In this study, a method using a neural network rather than a conventional proportional-integral controller was proposed to control the AFE rectifier. Tested controller data were used to design a neural network controller trained through MATLAB/Simulink. The neural network controller was applied to a rectification system designed using PSIM software. The results indicated the effectiveness of improving the waveform and power factor DC output stage according to the load variation. The proposed system can be applied as a rectification system for small and medium-sized environmentally friendly ships.
