  • This study proposes an integrated operational model of branches with customer center at stock brokerage firms and suggests ways to improve existing systems. This suggested integrated model of branches and customer centers can increase customer satisfaction and customer values for the specific services at each channel. This integrated model also enables customers to make transactions at a desired specific time, make it possible to inquire whatever the customer wished to ask, and select desired contact channels. In addition, the firms can bring in improved effectiveness of internal resources by integrating all the resources the firm has. Personal resources and system resources are distributed by the characteristics of channels that can be selected by the customers. Then agents also can provide more speedy and accurate responses to the engaged customer interactions matching to his/her job in charge. Also, the model makes it possible to collect the latest customer and transaction information at the moment of each interactions, by which the firm can provide customized services specifically tailed to each customers' preferences. However, systematic interactions between branches and customer center, and completed system should be equipped with in order to provide the highest quality services.

  • Developing our understanding of retail employee job satisfaction is important, especially given its impact in reducing employee turnover intentions and increasing employee job performance. While developing our understanding of job satisfaction is important, the vast majority of studies examine job satisfaction as a global or single-faceted construct. However, extant research provides evidence that to properly measure job satisfaction, multi-faceted scales are required (e.g. Churchill et al., 1974; Boles et al., 2007; Rutherford et al., 2009). Using the literature on multi-faceted job satisfaction, this study examines retail employees' satisfaction with supervision, job, company policy, promotion, pay, fellow workers, and customers. Specifically, emotional exhaustion, need for emotion, and personal traits (strong, independent, and warm) are examined as antecedents. This study finds that emotional exhaustion is negatively related to all seven facets of job satisfaction.

It is important to settle down fairness culture of safety to motivate and improve service quality.

  • Under the needs to study the predictors of the frontline employees' service-oriented organizational citizenship behaviors(OCBs) in the hotel industry, this study aimed to the influence of goal orientations on the OCBs. The two factors of performance goal and learning goal orientations were hypothesized to influence each dimension of OCBs(loyalty, service delivery, and participation). The data from 266 five star deluxe hotel employees were analyzed with descriptive statistics, multi-variate analysis of variance, and structural equation modeling conducted using SPSS 19.0 and AMOS 20.0. The results showed learning goal orientation positively influenced all dimensions of the OCBs while performance goal orientation positively influenced all dimensions except loyalty. These results suggest that hotel practitioners need to seek the applicants who are willingly oriented to specific goals at recruiting process. Furthermore, hotel organizations need to utilize the employees' goal approach to motivate their performances.

  • Relationship marketing has been dealt with as an effective strategy for customer loyalty in prior research. It seems to be essential that organizations should make efforts to develop successful relationship between the organizations and the customers. However, a customers' voluntary efforts are also needed to strengthen the relationship meaningfully. Relationships are built on the foundations of mutuality. In other words, customers' efforts are necessary for relationship development, as well as an organization's efforts. Hereby, the role of customers for the development of a relationship with an organization has been overlooked in previous research so far. This study applied the Self-Determination Theory (SDT) to explain the role of customer motivation in developing customer relationship. Thus, the author chose customers who have experienced medical service recently as survey participants. Then, this paper verified the path relationships between self-determination factors (autonomy, perceived competence, relatedness) and relational factors(shared responsibility, commitment, relationship retention). It suggested that role of customers is inevitable in developing the relationship. In conclusion, this research has several implications on relationship marketing. For service providers, they should understand that the customer's perceived self-determination can improve tangible and intangible performance in relationship development.
