Development of Cylindrical Paperpot Manufacturing Equipment (원통형 종이포트 제조장치 개발)

  • This study was conducted to develop a cylindrical paperpot manufacturing equipment which is capable of continuously producing paperpots with a constant size. The equipment consists of the soil supply part, the paper supply part, the pot manufacturing part, the paperpot cutting part and its process for manufacturing paperpot from the soil supply to the paperpot cutting is continuously performed. As a result of the performance test using this equipment, we suggest that the optimal moisture content and injection pressure to supply soil are 50%~60%, and 0.5 Mpa respectively. Moreover the appropriate temperature for adhesive strength is $150{\sim}160^{\circ}C$ taking into account the performance of device and adhesion time. Also, considering the cutting speed and safety, it is appropriate to adopt a straight blade having a clean plan at a minimum angle of $30^{\circ}$. In addition, the manufacturing capacity of the developed equipment was 3300 pots per hour.

  • 다른 재료에 비해 에너지 변환 효율의 관점에서 높은 경쟁력을 가진 결정질 실리콘은 지난 수십 년 동안 그 특성이 태양전지 분야에 널리 이용되어 왔다. 하지만 결정질 실리콘 웨이퍼는 일반적으로 제조 단계에서 많은 양의 에너지를 소비하고 절단 단계에서 절단 손실(Kerf-loss)이 발생된다. Epoxy Resin을 이용한 Kerf-less Wafering은 초박형 실리콘 웨이퍼 제조 기술 중 하나로, 비교적 간단한 장비와 공정을 통하여 절단 손실 없이 $50{\mu}m$이하의 초박형 실리콘 웨이퍼를 얻을 수 있는 기술이다. 실리콘과 Epoxy Resin 간의 열팽창 계수 차이를 이용하여 초박형 실리콘을 박리 시키는 기술로, 실리콘 기판 위에 Epoxy Resin으로 stress inducing layer를 올려 공정을 진행한다. stress inducing layer를 경화시키는 열처리가 끝나고 급냉되는 과정에서 stress inducing layer에 의해 실리콘 기판에 큰 응력이 가해지게 되고 실리콘 기판에 crack이 발생된다. 공정이 계속 됨에 따라 발생된 crack은 실리콘 표면과 평행한 방향으로 전파 되고 초박형 실리콘 layer가 실리콘 기판에서 박리 된다. 본 실험에서 중요한 공정 변수로는 stress inducing layer의 구성성분 및 두께, 열처리 온도 및 시간, cooling rate 등이 있다. 이러한 공정 변수들을 조절 하여 Epoxy Resin을 이용하여 $100{\mu}m$ 이하의 박리된 wafer를 얻을 수 있었다. 박리된 wafer의 단면과 두께를 Scanning Electron Microscopy(SEM)을 통해 관찰 하였고, 이를 통해 초박형 실리콘 박리 공정에 대한 연구를 진행하였다.

  • Interval censored data frequently occur in observation studies where the subject is followed periodically. In this paper, our interest is to suggest a test statistic to compare the CIF of two groups with interval censored failure time data in the presence of competing risks. Gray (1988) suggested a test statistic for right censored data that motivated a well-known Fine and Gray's subdistribution hazard model. A multiple imputation technique is adopted to adopt Gray's test statistic to interval censored data. The powers and sizes of the suggested method are investigated through diverse simulation schemes. The main merit of the suggested method is its simplicity to implement with existing software for right censored data. The method is illustrated by analyzing Bangkok's HIV cohort dataset.

  • In animal tumorigenicity data, the occurrence time of tumor is not observed because the existence of a tumor is examined only at either time of natural death or time of sacrifice for the animal. A three-state model (Health-Tumor onset-Death) is widely used to model the incomplete data. In this paper, we employed a frailty effect into the three-state model to incorporate the dependency of death on tumor occurrence when the time of natural death works as an informative censoring against the tumor onset time. For the inference of parameters, then the EM algorithm is considered in order to deal with missing quantities of tumor onset time and random frailty. The proposed method is applied to the bladder tumor data taken from Lindsey and Ryan (1993, 1994) and a simulation study is performed to show the behavior of the proposed estimators.

Performance analysis of session admission control based on area for software download in cellular CDMA systems (셀룰러 CDMA 시스템에서 소프트웨어 다운로드를 위한 영역 기반 세션수락제어방식 성능분석)

  • For an efficient software download in cellular CDMA systems, session admission control based on area (SACA) is presented. In the SACA scheme, the base station only allows mobile terminal to start session when the mobile locates near the base station of a cell. A mobile that is located near cell center can request software download session, but the mobile that is far away from the center can request session only after arriving near the cell center. Session duration time follows exponential and Pareto distribution. Performance is analyzed in terms of handoff rate, mean channel holding time, session blocking probability and handoff forced termination probability. As analysis results, handoff rate between cells in the proposed scheme is reduced to 30 ~ 250 % compared to conventional scheme, according to traffic characteristics such as terminal speed, session duration time and the size of the allowable zone area in a cell for the start of the session. And new session blocking probability slightly decreases to 5 ~ 20 %, but handoff session forced termination probability drastically decreases to 35 ~ 220 %.

  • In this paper, we propose a call admission control scheme that can be performed within guaranteeing of required QoS(Quality of Services) in DS-CDMA(Direct Sequence-Code Division Multiple Access) reverse link. It has been performed rely on a physical channel numberonly and based on quality of received signal from MODEM(modulator/demodulator) part in established study. In other methods, the standard for services would have been set from statistical analysis of users\` location and using received power level in BTS(Base Transceiver Station). These ways bring about not only system loads but time delay or great differences from real environment. To solve these problems, we propose a call drop rate estimation algorithm for the purpose of call admission control based on measured value at LNA(Low Noise Amplifier) ports of BTS(Base Transceiver Station) in real time. This method proposed in this paper estimates a quality of offered service in real time, reduce system loads and shorten time delay which is needed to determine the standard for call admission control. But it requires a additional 17W complexity which can measure received signal power in BTS and estimate call drop rate.

  • In this paper, we deal with a hierarchical ring-mesh optical network design problem. The objective is to minimize the total cost of optical add-drop multiplexers (OADMs) handling intra-ring traffic, optical cross-connects (OXCs) handling inter-ring traffic, and cabling cost among OADMs and among OXCs, while satisfying intra-ring and inter-ring capacities. We develop an integer programming (IP) formulation for the problem and devise some cutting planes that partially break the symmetry of rings. Dealing with the inherent computational complexity of the problem, we devise an effective heuristic procedure that finds a good quality feasible solution within reasonable computing times. Computational results demonstrate the efficacy of the proposed solution procedure; the developed symmetry breaking inequalities significantly reduce the computing time to find an optimal solution for small size problems, and the heuristic procedure finds a better feasible solution than that CPLEX, a commercial optimization software, finds for large size problems.
