  • As the 4th industrial revolution is in full swing and next-generation ICT(Information & Communications Technology) convergence technology is being developed, various smart construction technologies are being rapidly introduced in the construction field to respond to technological changes. In particular, since the earth-volume calculation process for site design accounts for a large part of the design cost at the construction site, related researches are being actively conducted to improve the efficiency of the process and accurately calculate the earth-volume. The purpose of this study is to present a method for quickly constructing the topography of a construction site in 3D and efficiently calculating earth-volume using the results. For this purpose, the construction site was constructed as a 3D realistic model using large-scale aerial photos obtained from UAV(Unmanned Aerial Vehicle). At this time, since the constructed 3D realistic model has a surface model structure in which volume calculation is impossible, the structure was converted into a 3D solid model to enable volume calculation. And we devised a methodology to calculate earth-volume based on CAD(Computer-Aided Design and Drafting) using the converted solid model. Automatically calculating earth-volume from the solid model by applying the method. As a result, It was possible to confirm a relative deviation of 1.52% from the calculated earth-volume from the existing survey results. In addition, as a result of comparative analysis of the process time required for each method, it was confirmed that the time required is reduced of 60%. The technique presented in this study is expected to be utilized as a technology for smart construction management, such as periodic site monitoring throughout the entire construction process, as well as cost reduction for earth-volume calculation.

  • Ground, sea and air mobility, such as vehicles, ships, and airplanes, are generally operated by people. Based on the innovative development of autonomous decision-making systems and artificial intelligence (AI) following the recent fourth industrial revolution, research and development on maritime autonomous surface ships (MASS) is been actively performed around the world. Before the realization of the commercialization of MASS in international maritime transport, it is urgent to clarify the characteristics of this ship and its international legal status. This paper aims to analyze the concern of whether a ship without crew members will eventually be operated as a fully unmanned ship or can be recognized as a ship under international law as the number of crew members is gradually reduced owing to the development stage of autonomous ships. Consequently, based on the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) and the regulations of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), it was found that MASS has the same international legal status as general ships. In addition this paper presents the working principles of enacting and revising the IMO Conventions and international legal measures necessary for the safe operation of MASS.

  • In the fishery industry, global aquaculture production has stagnated due to overfishing of aquatic products, restrictions between countries, and climate change. The aquaculture suggests the possibility of a blue revolution that can be expanded in a new way. The aquaculture industry now accounts for more than half of the fishery products from the sea as a raw material for seafood for human consumption. Various latest biological research methods are being applied for the development of a sustainable aquaculture industry. Genomics has made significant progress in recent years. Since the genome sequence of Atlantic cod was sequenced in 2011, the genomes of more species have been sequenced. The genome information is providing a more robust and productive knowledge base for the aquaculture industry, including breeding and breeding of superior traits, improving disease resistance quality, and optimizing aquaculture feed and feed methods. This review looked at the status of genome analysis technology and the current status of genome research of aquaculture species. The development of genome research technology and massive genomic information is important in solving the challenges of the aquaculture industry and will help sustainable fisheries and aquaculture.

  • A tattoo is a cultural form that has been handed down to mankind for a long time. Traditional tattoo customs that have been handed down and developed in the various cultures of mankind have the important value of academic research in various fields such as history, art, society, etc. The Derung people, one of the minorities living in Yunnan Province and nearby areas in the southwest of China, have 'facial tattoo' customs. The traditional culture of the Derung people, which had maintained the form of primitive society until 1949 when the People's Republic of China was established, was passed down through oral tradition, so there are no preserved materials about their tattoo culture, showing the need for research on the culture. Therefore, it was conducted in two ways: a research on modern and contemporary literature and a field trip to Yunnan Province. The exact reason and time of facial tattoo customs are unknown, but the customs disappeared after being banned in 1966 due to the Chinese Cultural Revolution. The symbols and functions of facial tattoos can be largely divided into four categories, including religious worship, coming-of-age ceremonies, aesthetic decorations, and ethnic and social history, through an on-site survey and research by modern and contemporary scholars. And, it is known that women of the Derung People get tattoos from the age of 7 to 8. The design of facial tattoos became more complicated for upper-class women and simpler for lower-class women depending on the area they live. Tattoos are mainly performed by relatives, and mainly bamboo skewers and lixivium extracted from the bottom of the pot are used as the materials. Currently, there are fewer than 25 women of the Derung people with facial tattoos, and most of them are elderly. Therefore, they seem to disappear altogether within a few decades. Therefore, it is urgent to have documentation on the unique facial tattoo culture of the Derung people.

  • With the recent advancement of 4th Industrial Revolution technology, transportation systems are generating large amounts of mobility data related to the individual movement trajectories of vehicles and people. There are many constraints on utilizing mobility data containing personal information. Thus, in South Korea, the processing and generation of pseudonymized information and the analysis and utilization of this information have been managed in a dual manner by applying separate agencies and technologies through the revision of the Data 3 Act and the enactment of the Data Basic Act. However, this dual approach fails to securely support the entire data lifecycle and suffers from inefficiencies in terms of processing time and cost. Therefore, to compensate for the problems of the existing Expert Data Combination System and Data Safety Zone, this study proposes an Integrated Data Safety Zone Framework that integrates and unifies the process of generating, processing, analyzing, and utilizing mobility data. The integrated process for data processing was redesigned, and common requirements and core technologies were derived. The result is an architecture for a next-generation Integrated Data Safety Zone system that can manage and utilize the entire life cycle of mobility data at one stop.
