Tone Interference Cancellation Algorithm for Direct-Sequence Spread-Spectrum Systems (직접 대역 확산 시스템을 위한 톤 간섭 제거 알고리듬)

  • In this paper, we propose a frequency-domain tone interference cancellation algorithm for direct-sequence spread spectrum systems. In the previously proposed frequency-domain interference cancellation algorithms, the interference signal is estimated and compensated in the frequency-domain and then, with IFFT (inverse Fourier transform), the compensated frequency-domain signal is transformed to the time domain signal for the remaining receiver operations. Unlike the previous works, the proposed algorithm does not requires IFFT and thus, the proposed algorithm not only shows the virtually identical performance but also requires lower hardware complexity compared to the previous works.

A Study on the Cognitive Differences and Issue Factors of Terrestrial Broadcasters on Transmission System Determinants of Digital Radio Broadcasting (디지털 지상파 라디오 방송의 전송방식 결정요인에 관한 지상파 방송사의 인식차이와 쟁점 요인에 관한 연구)

  • Though the digital transition of terrestrial TV has been completed, the transmission system for terrestrial radio has not been determined and terrestrial radio still keeps its analog transmission. This study, under coorientation model, aims to explore the cognitive difference in recognizing important factors to be considered in deciding the digital radio transmission system between the employees of terrestrial broadcasters and then crucial issues related to the factors are driven. It has been found that the most big cognitive difference among the employees of three major terrestrial broadcasters lies in selecting frequency band for digital radio transmission. But there was little difference of opinion on simultaneous production-transmission, efficiency of frequency usage, broadcast quality and standards of service. The most disputable point in transition to digital radio broadcasting is selecting the frequency band for digital radio between the frequency bands used for FM radio broadcast (88-108MHz), terrestrial DMB (VHF Ch7~13) and FM radio adjacent broadcast band (76~88MHz: VHF Ch5~6). So, the question concludes into the selection issue between DAB+, HD-Radio, and DRM+. To improve the quality of radio broadcasting service and enhance the satisfaction of listeners, it is desirable to allow to operate both production system and transmission station, to enhance high transmission efficiency with minimum transmission facility, and to permit new entrance of broadcasters.

  • 본 논문에서는 DTV 방송 전환에 따른 주파수 이전 및 채널 재배치 시, 시스템 및 전파환경의 변화에 따라 수신 한계전계강도도출과 동등한 수준의 서비스 제공에 대한 기술적 분석 방법론을 제시한다. 전판환경 분석을 위한 전계강도 예측 모델은 ITU-R 권고 P.1546을 적용하였으며, 이를 기반으로 ATV 및 DTV의 수신한계전계강도 대한 수식을 정립하였다. 선정된 수신기의 특성에 대해 수치해석 및 결과를 고찰하였으며, 설정한 시스템에 대해 동등한 수준의 서비스 제공을 위한 시스템의 변수 보정도 방법도 제시하였다.

  • 디지털기술의 발달로 전통적인 의미의 방송들이 통신에 기반한 다양한 매체들로부터 도전받고 있다. 라디오 방송도 예외는 아니어서 라디오방송의 디지털 전환을 논하고 있는 지금 인터넷방송, 팟캐스팅, 스마트폰 앱을 통한 방송 등 다양한 매체들이 라디오방송을 하고 있다. 전파를 통한 지상파 라디오 방송은 아직 우리나라에서 표준이 정해지지 않았지만 디지털 전환을 통해 주파수 효율을 높여 다양한 멀티미디어 서비스를 제공하게 될 것이고, 통신을 통한 디지털라디오 서비스는 지상파와는 달리 개인화된 맞춤형 서비스를 지향하게 된다. 이 두 가지 방식은 앞으로 차별화된 서비스로 상호 보완 발전해 나갈 것으로 보인다. 본고에서는 전파를 이용한 라디오방송의 디지털화를 위한 방식선정에 고려되어야 할 요소와 특히 방송주파수의 효율적인 활용 방안을 제시하고자 한다.

  • HDTV는 DTV에 비해 공간해상도가 4∼6배 이상됨에 따라 처리할 샘플수가 증가하게 된다. 따라서 기존의 DTV급으로 개발된 칩세트나 코덱을 그대로 HDTV 코덱 개발에 적용하기가 어렵게 된다. 따라서 HDTV의 높은 샘플링 주파수 때문에 HDTV 코덱은 화면분할 방식과 같은 새로운 코덱 구조를 가지게 되며, 그 분할된 각각은 기존의 DTV급 코덱으로 처리할 수 있게 된다. 이 때 각 대역마다 발생되는 부호화된 비트수가 다르기 때문에 일정한 전송율로 채널을 통하여 전송되기 위해서 버퍼 및 율제어 방식에 필요하게 된다. 본 논문에서는 각 대역별 영상의 특성과 버퍼 상황에 따라 적응적으로 율제어를 수행함으로써 화질의 균일성을 도모하고 부호화 효율을 증가시킬 수 있는 새로운 율제어 방식을 제안하였다. 또한 장면 전환이 발생했을 때에도 적응적으로 율제어를 수행할 수 있는 장면전환 검출 및 이를 이용한 적응적 율제어방식을 제안하였다.

Performance Analysis of a Magneto-Rheological Fluid Engine Mount (MR유체 엔진마운트의 성능해석)

  • This paper evaluates the performance of a Magneto-Rheological (MR) fluid mount. The mount incorporates MR fluid in a conventional fluid mount to open and closed the inertia track between the fluid chambers of the mount. It is shown that such switching of the inertia track improves the mount's isolation effect, by eliminating the large transmissibility peak that commonly exists at frequencies higher than the notch frequency for conventional fluid mounts. The switching frequencies of the MR mount is evaluated, based on the parameters of the mount. A simple control scheme for switching the mount between the open and closed states is proposed, and the performance of the controlled mount is compared with conventional mounts. A sensitivity analysis is conducted to evaluate the effect of parameter errors in estimating the switching frequencies and mount performance. The results show that the switching frequencies can be accurately determined from mount parameters that are easily measured or estimated.

  • To dissolve the multi-layered model problems, and to complement 2-layered model's simplicity, assumed fluid-fluid-solid 3-layered model. Generally it is known that if the sediment thickness is more than 10 wavelength, the half space's influence to the in-water acoustic field could be disregarded. By tracking the maximum correlation coefficient of calculated results and experimental ones we confirmed that the requirement could be more realized. To calculate the maximum correlation coefficient we used single sensor transmission loss. On the assumption that the sediment sound velocity was 1813 m/s and frequency range 50 kHz to 120 kHz, the conversion condition was from 2.5 to 7.7 wavelength.

  • The reception quality of broadcasting in car radio system may become poor due to the noise such as week signal strength, multipath, Adjacent Channel and so on. To improve this, some european nations and US. serve RDS(Radio Data System) on FM radio, AF(Alternative Frequency) and PI(Programme Identification) code contained information in RDS data are used to switch to the broadcasting having the best reception quality. There are many techniques and studies of maintaining the best reception quality. But many previous techniques are no longer the best way because RF chips are improved every year and noise components can be distinguished in detail. So this research will suggest the best switching technique to maintain the best reception quality.

  • Conversion of methane to synthesis gas in a capacitive rf plasma at low pressure was experimentally studied. In this plasma, electrons which had sufficient energy-level collided with the molecules of methane or oxygen-containing gas, which were than activated and converted to synthesis gas. The effect of input power, various oxygen-containing gas and composition of the gas mixture were investigated. The conversion of methane reached up to 100%. In all cases, hydrogen and carbon oxide were produced as primary products, and other compounds was generated. The conversion of methane and the yield of hydrogen and carbon oxides were increased with increasing the input power. Depending on the oxygen-containing gases, the composition of synthesis gas was varied.
