바이오매스 구성성분 중 리그닌의 전환에 관한 연구

  • Lignin is usable as fuels and heavy oil additives if depolymerized to monomer unit, because the chemical structures are similar to high octane materials found in gasoline. In this study, the solvent-phase thermal cracking(solvolysis) of lignin was performed at the various temperature and time in a laboratory tubular reactor. Conversion yield was measured for the properties of thermal cracking and liquefaction reaction of lignin. Highest conversion yield when acetone was used as thermal cracking solvent was 55.5% at $350^{\circ}C$, 50minutes and highest tar generation were $260{\sim}350mg/g\;{\cdot}\;lignin$ at $250^{\circ}C$, and highest conversion yield after tar removal was 76.88% at $300^{\circ}C$, 30minutes. Conversion yield, product compositions and amounts were determined by tar degradation yield.

Emulsion Graft Polymerization of MMA to Sodium Alginate : Mechanism and Solvent Effect (알긴산 소다에의 MMA유화 그래프트 중합 : 메커니즘 및 용매효과)

  • In order to increase the lower values of % grafting and monomer conversion in the emulsion graft polymerization of methylmethacrylate(MMA) onto sodium alginate (SA; a polymer electrolyte) with alginic acid-g-PMMA, the graft polymerization with water soluble (methanol and acetone) and insoluble solvents was carried out using a varity of solvent amounts and agitating rates. And some physical properties of the graft polymer were also investigated. In the polymerizations with water insoluble solvent, there were pronounced improvements in both % grafting and MMA conversion by the promotion of MMA diffusion from the core to the SA adsorpted on the outer layer of particle and that of MMA complex formation with SA. And the effect was larger for the solvents (cyclohexane, decalin) which do not dissolve PMMA. On the other hand, in the polymerization with water soluble solvent, there was an significant increase in MMA conversion and a considerable increase in the % grafting by the destruction of electrical double layer around the SA chains, abstracting the hydrated water in the layer and the effect was more potential in the case of methanol which is a precipitant of PMMA.

DeNOx by Hydrocarbon-Selective Catalytic Reduction on Ag-V/γ-Al2O3 Catalyst (Ag-V/γ-Al2O3 촉매상에서 탄화수소-Selective Catalytic Reduction에 의한 질소산화물 저감)

  • In order to remove the NO contained in exhaust gas by the non-selective catalyst reduction method, the catalysts were prepared by varing the loading amount of Ag and V into ${\gamma}-Al_2O_3$. The conversion of $NO_x$ using the prepared catalysts was studied by varying the temperatures, $O_2$ concentrations and $SO_2$ concentrations using. The influence of the catalyst structure on $NO_x$ conversion was studied through the analysis of the physical properties of the prepared catalysts. In the case of $AgV/{\gamma}-Al_2O_3$ catalyst, the $NO_x$ conversion was lower than that of $Ag/{\gamma}-Al_2O_3$ at higher temperatures but higher than that of $Ag/{\gamma}-Al_2O_3$ at lower temperatures. Even though $SO_2$ was contained in the reaction gas, the $NO_x$ conversion did not decrease. Based on the analysis including XRD, XPS, TPR, and UV-Vis DRS before and after the experiments, the experimental results were examined. The results indicated that, $NO_x$ conversion decreased at higher temperatures since Ag oxide could not be maintained well due to the addition of V, whereas it increased at temperatures lower than $300^{\circ}C$ due to the catalytic action of V.

Characteristics of Adsorption, Desorption of Exhaust Gases and Deactivation of LNT and SCR Catalysts for Diesel Vehicles (디젤 자동차용 LNT, SCR 촉매의 배출가스 흡착, 탈리 및 열화 특성)

  • 이 논문에서는 디젤자동차용 LNT와 SCR 촉매의 NO, $NH_3$ 흡착 및 탈리의 기본 특성과 수열화 온도와 시간 및 정량화된 황피독 농도에 대한 de-$NO_x$ 촉매의 내구성을 평가하였다. LNT 촉매는 열적으로 열화됨에 따라 Pt 및 Ba의 소결 및 응집으로 활성이 떨어져 $NO_x$ 전환율은 감소하였다. 반면에 Pt의 비활성화로 중간생성물인 $NH_3$ 생성량은 증가하였으며, 이때 생성된 $NH_3$는 LNT+SCR 복합시스템의 SCR 촉매의 환원제 역할을 담당한다. 1.0 g/L 이상의 황이 피독된 LNT 촉매는 탈황을 하여도 질소 산화물 흡장물질(Ba) 의 성능이 회복이 되지 않아 $NO_x$ 전환율은 회복되지 않았으며, 탈황 후 Pt 재활성화로 인해 NO2 및 SCR 환원제인 $NH_3$ 생성량은 증가하였다. SCR 촉매의 $NO_x$ 전환율은 $700^{\circ}C$ 36h, $800^{\circ}C$ 24h로 수열화 시킨 촉매는 전이금속 입자 성장 및 zeolite 구조 파괴로 인하여 급격하게 떨어졌으며, 0.36 g/L 황 피독된 촉매는 zeolite가 가지는 강산성 특정으로 내피독성이 강하여 탈황시 $NO_x$ 전환율은 회복되었다.

Study of Scene change Detection and Adaptive Rate Control Schemes for MPEG Video Encoder (MPEG 비디오 인코더를 위한 장면전환 검출 및 적응적 율 제어 방식 연구)

  • A sell-designed rate control strategy can improve overall picture quality for video transmission over a constant bit rate channel and the rate control method is not a normative part of MPEG-video standard, the performance of MPEG video codec can be quite different depends on how to implement the rate control scheme. The rate control scheme proposed in MPEG show good results when scene changes is not occurred. But it has weakness that it does not properly handle scene-changed pictures. Therefore picture quality after scene change is deteriorated, and possibility of overflow occurrence becomes high. In this paper, a new method for detection of scene change occurrence using local variance and a new determination scheme for adaptive quantization parameter, mqunt, which can consider local characteristic of an image by using previously computed the local variance from the scene change detection part are proposed. IN addition, and adaptive rate control scheme which can handles scene changed picture very efficiently by scene-changed picture is proposed. Computer simulations are performed to verify the performance of the proposed algorithm. The suggested detection algorithm precisely detected scene change. And the proposed rate control scheme shows better rate control performance as compared with that of the conventional MPEG scheme.

Hydrogen production by catalytic decomposition of propane over carbon black catalyst in a fluidized bed (유동층 반응기에서 카본블랙 촉매를 이용하는 프로판 분해에 의한 수소 생산)

  • 유동층 반응기를 이용한 프로판의 촉매 분해는 $CO_2$를 방출하지 않고 수소를 생성하는 새로운 방식이다. 카본블랙을 이용한 프로판 분해는 메탄보다 상대적으로 분해가 잘되며, 같은 온도에서 전환률이 높기 때문에 수소 생성량이 더 많다. 촉매로 사용된 카본블랙은 반응 중 생성되는 탄소의 침적에도 불구하고 8시간 이상 촉매의 활성이 유지되어 전환율이 일정하게 유지되었다. 프로판 촉매 분해 실험은 상압에서 600 ${\sim}$ $800^{\circ}C$ 온도 변화 실험을 수행하였고, 가스 유속 변화는 2.0 ${\sim}$ $4.0U_mf$에서 실험 조건 변화에 따른 실험을 하였다. 온도, 유속 변화에 따른 생성 가스의 몰분율과 프로판 전환율을 분석하였다. 프로판 분해에 의해 생성된 기체는 수소뿐만 아니라 메탄, 에틸렌, 에탄, 프로필렌과 분해되지 않은 프로판이 배출되었다. 수소를 제외한 여타 가스들은 고온에서 실험을 할수록 몰비가 줄어들었다. 고온에서 프로판의 전환율과 수소 수득률이 증가하였다. 프로판 분해 실험 전후의 카본블랙 표면의 변화는 FE-TEM으로 관측하였다.

A Study on the Water Gas Shift Reaction of RPF Syngas (RPF(Refuse plastic fuel) 합성가스의 수성가스 전환 반응 연구)

  • The water-gas shift reaction is the subsequent step using steam for hydrogen enrichment and H2/CO ratio-controlled syngas from gasification. In this study, a water-gas shift reaction was performed using syngas from an RPF gasification system. The water-gas shift using a catalyst was performed in a laboratory-scale tube reactor with a high temperature shift (HTS) and a low temperature shift (LTS). The effects of the reaction temperature, steam/carbon ratio, and flow rate on H2 production and CO conversion were investigated. The operating temperature was 250-400℃ for the HTS system and 190-220℃ for the LTS system. Steam/carbon ratios were between 1.5 and 3.5, and the composition of reactant was CO : 40 vol%, H2 : 25 vol%, and CO2 : 25 vol%. The CO conversion and H2 production increased as the reaction temperature and steam/carbon ratio increased. The CO conversion and H2 production decreased as the flow rate increased due to reduced retention time in the catalyst bed.

섬유소분해효소유전자 (CelD)가 도입된 형질전환돼지의 섬유소 소화율 분석

  • 비 반추동물 특히 돼지의 경우 섬유소 소화율이 극히 낮은 것으로 알려져 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 섬유소분해효소유전자 (CelD) 를 췌장특이 프로모터인 rat Elastase Ⅰ 하류에 연결하여 구축된 벡터를 수정란내 미세주입한 후 생산된 형질전환 돼지를 이용하여 섬유소 소화능력을 측정하기 위하여 실시하였다. 먼저 35두의 수란돈으로 부터 65 두의 산자를 생산하였으며, PCR 분석 결과 4두가 형질전환돼지로 판명되었으며 이중 3두가 죽고, 생존한 l두를 다시 southern blot 분석결과 형질 전환된 것으로 판단하여 같은 복의 6두와 함께 섬유소 소화율을 측정하기 위하여 분리사육을 실시하였다.   • The herbicide propanil and its metabolite, DCA were incubated with oxidative catalysts in the presence or absence of humic monomers to evaluate the incorporation of them into humic substances. Propanil and DCA underwent little or no transformation by oxidatve catalysts in the absence of humic monomers. In the presence of humic monomers, the most effective co-substrate for transformation of propanil was syringic acid by laccase and HRP, that of DCA was catechol by laccase and HRP, and protocatechuic acid by birnessite. The transformation of DCA was the highest when it was incubated with catechol at pH 8.0 during 24 hrs by laccase, and with catechol at pH 3.0 during 2 hrs by HRP, and with protocatechuic acid at pH 5.0 during 2 hrs by birnessite. The DCA transformation increased with increasing concentration of humic monomers. The transformation of DCA was increased with about 5 times when it was incubated with lactase and birnessite together than lactase alone, but that of it was not effected when it was incubated with HRP and birnessite together. When DCA was incubated with dissolved organic carbon in the presence of oxidative catalysts, the transformation of it was not increased by laccase and birnessite but increased by HRP.

Oxidation Reaction Characteristics of Waste Slurry in the Wet Desulfurization Process Using Mg(OH)$_2$ Absorbent (Mg(OH)$_2$를 이용한 습식탈황에서 폐슬러리 산화반응특성 연구)

  • Mg(OH)$_2$를 흡수제로 이용한 습식탈황에서 페슬러리에 대한 산화반응 특성을 고려하였다. SO3-2 전환율 (MgSO3 폐슬러리의 산화반응 전환율) 과 산소의 물질전달특성을 고찰하기 위해 회분식 및 연속식 실험을 수행하였따. 3리터 용량을 갖는 직사각형모양의 아크릴 반응기에서 공기/슬러리 공급비(20-60) , 수리학적 체류시간(HRT)(1-3hr), SO3-2 유입농도(1000-3000ppm)등의 변화조건에서 실험이 행하여졌다. 실험결과 SO3-2 전환율은 공기공급량과 체류시간에 비례하여 증가하였다. 또한 슬러리 공급에 대한 최적공기공급비 0.02ι/(ι.ppm)에서 MgSO3 폐슬러리는 90%이상 산화되었다.
