Photodecomposition Properties of Formaldehyde Using PS Nanofiber and Photocatalyst (극세섬유와 광촉매를 이용한 포름알데히드의 광분해 특성)

  • In this study we proposed on effect of the photodecomcomposition of coated nanofiber by $Pd/TiO_2$ for the removal of formaldehyde gas as indoor air pollutant. The photocatalytic reactor was setup in the inside of rectangular box (volume 2 l), UV lamp and the coating nanofiber with $Pd/TiO_2$. This study investigated the reaction rate and the adsorption constant of Langmuir-Heinshelwood, conversion of formaldehyde gas on temperature ($40^{\circ}C{\sim}80^{\circ}C$), effect of conversion (%) under different concentration, and effect of conversion (%) with humidity level on added $SO_2$ gas. As results, the rate constant (k) and adsorption constant (ft) were 114.94ppmv/min, $0.0036ppmv^{-1}$, respectively. and the conversion (%) of formaldehyde gas on temperature ($40^{\circ}C{\sim}80^{\circ}C$) was decreased to about 24%, compare with the first conversion (%). In conversion effect of increasing humidity levels, the presence of sulfur dioxide further decreased than without sulfur dioxide. the decreasing reason of conversion with presence sulfur dioxide judged as a cause of interference factor on the decrease of contact chance with photocatalysts.

  • To exploit a suitable vector and recipient strain for molecular cloning in Bacillus subtilis, oxytetracycline-resistant plasmic DNA has been prepared from Streptomyces rimosus by phenol-buffer extraction of lysozyme-lysed cells and introduced into B. subtilis KPM 60 [St $r^{R}$-mutant of RM 125 (leu A8, arg 15, hsm $M^{-10}$ , hsr $M^{-10}$ )] by transformation. Oxitetracycline-resistant plasmid was well transferred into B. subtilis KPM 60 with average frequency of 10$^{-4}$ per $\mu\textrm{g}$ of DNA. The highest frequency of plasmid transformation was obtained after 3 hours incubation of recipient cells in the growth medium and 30 to 60 minutes incubation in the competence medium, and then 20 minutes contact of DNA and host cells. Optimum pH for competence was 7.5, and optimum temperature for transformation was 2$0^{\circ}C$.>.

Refractive Error Shift in Nuclear, Cortical, and Subcapsular Cataract (핵, 피질 그리고 낭 백내장의 굴절이상 전환)

  • The researchers have studied on the effect of three main morphological types(nuclear, cortical, and subcapsular cataract) of age related cataract on refractive error. We also identified that spherical and cylinderical shift in each type of morphological cataract accoding to their locations and effect of intraocular pressure before and after cataract surgery. Nuclear cataract showed myopic shift while cortical cataract showed hyperopic shift, and subcapsular cataract showed not significant changes on both direction. Age related cataract subjects(120 eyes) only were recruited from sun-cheon area. We use optic section of slit lamp biomicroscope to identify the anatomical location of cataract, and optimal refractive correction determined by objective(retinoscope) and subjective refraction then spherical changes were calculated from the spherical eqivalent value. Intra-ocular pressure were measured by auto-tonometer before and 7 days after cataract has been replaced by IOL. The change in cylindrical power, usually A-P diameter decreased according to increases of age, A-P diameter increased because intra-ocular pressure rises by progression of cataract and this convertion with the rule astigmatism to against the rule astigmatism and this increases more by intra-ocular pressure.

Molecular cloning of the Arabidopsis gene rat3 that is involving in the Agobacterium-mediated planttransformation (Agrobacterium에 의한 식물형질전환에 관여하는 Arabidopsis RAT3 유전자의 분리와 분석)

  • Genomic and cDNA clones containing the RAT3 gene involving in Agobacterium-mediated plant transformation were identified using plant DNA flanking the righ border of a T-DNA rescued from the rat3 mutant as hy-bridization probe. Two highly homologous cDNA clones were identified; one (RAT3-1) weakly hybridized with the probe whereas another (RAT3-2) strongly hybridized with the probe. Both Rat3-1 and Rat3-2 proteins contain a putative signal peptide for secretion. The deduced molecular weights of encoded proteins are 15 kDa. The results of genomic DNA blot analysis and DNA sequencing indicated that RAT3-1 and RAT3-2 exist as single copy genes and they were arranged side by side with just 600 bp distance between them. RAT3-1 was disrupted by the integration of T-DNA into the 3 untranslated region in rat3 mutant. A BLAST search showed that both RAT3-1 and RAT3-2 proteins have homology with only the C-terminal region of $\beta$-1,3-glucanase homologues from Triticum aestivum and Arabidopsis thaliana. Thses $\beta$-1,3-glucanase homologues contain an unusually long C-terminal region with no sig-nificant homology to other $\beta$-1,3-glucanase.

Detection of Conflict Transition Scene Using Character Regions (인물 면적을 이용한 갈등 전환 장면 검출)

  • The story is formed by the flow of the development and resolution of the conflict between the characters. Namely, the story consists of conflict setting, development, and resolution. Character region is an important expression technique to describe the emotions or states of characters and the relationship between characters and the environment. The purpose of this paper is to propose a method for detecting the transition of conflict from the graph of character region's change. To this end, we present a method of generating a change graph of a character region in a movie by calculating the character region and a method of detecting a conflict transition scene from a graph of character region's change. To verify the performance of the proposed method, an experiment was conducted to extract conflict transition scenes for 7 movies, and performance evaluation results of 73.57% accuracy and 77.26% recall were obtained. This proves that it is possible to extract conflict transition scenes based on the character region.

  • 본 논문에서는 연료전지를 이용한 가정용 발전 시스템의 계통 연계를 위한 새로운 단상 인버터 시스템을 제안한다. 제안한 방식에 의해 역률 1에 가까운 전원 품질로 독립 운전과 계통연계 운전이 가능하고 자동 모드 전환시 최소의 과도상태를 갖는다. 또한 제안한 인버터 제어기는 연산이 적고 구조가 간단하여 저가격의 고정소수점 DSP로 구현이 가능할 뿐 아니라 정상상태 오차가 거의 없고 양호한 과도상태 응답특성을 얻을 수 있다. 제안한 계통연계형 인버터의 제어기에 관하여 기술하고 모의실험 및 실험에 의하여 그 타당성을 입증한다.

  • 본 논문데서는 부하외란이나 시스템 내부 파라미터의 변동시에 적응력이 저하되는 종래의 PI제어기와, 정상상태 잔류편차가 존재하는 퍼지 제어기의 단점을 극복하기 위한 적 응 퍼지 제어 기법을 제안하였고, 이를 도립 진자 시스템에 적용하였다. 운송차의 위치 및 진자 각도의 오차, 오차의 변화량에 따라 퍼지 추론을 행하여 PI 제어기의 가중치를 결정하 는 구조로, P제어기는 운송차 및 진자의 오차가 과도 상태에서의 영역에서 사용되어 속응성 과 고정도의 특성을 얻는다. 1제어기는 정상상태에서의 정도 향상에 이용되었다. 특히, 제안 하는 적응 퍼지 제어기는 운송차의 위치 오차에 대한 PI 동작과, 진자의 각도 오차에 대한 PI 동작을 각각 퍼지 추론에 의해 부드럽게 전환함으로서 고유 불안정의 시스템인 도립 진 자 시스템의 안정화 제어에 적용하였다.

  • For study about introduce of gene connected with disease and transformation system of gingseng, chitinase gene cloned from soybene and disease resistant gene were carried out for expression and transformation of plant using Agrobacterium. The disease resistance gene(DR-49), 35S-35S-AMV, has been constructed. The disease resistance gene and chitinase gene were introduced into the binary vector pRD 400, which were mobilized into Agrobacterium tumefaciens faciens strain MP 90 and LBA 4404 harboring disarmed Ti-plasmid. As a result of induce transformants using ginseng embryo and petiole, multi shoots were formed on MS medium supplemented 1 mg/ι 2,4-D and 0.5 mg/ι kinetin. Also transformation by cotyledonwas effective on MS medium supplemented 1 mg/ι 2,4-D and 0.5 mg/ι kinetin, transformation percent of disease resistant gene and chitinase gene were showed 18%, 14% respectively. As transformed tissue is under pre-embryoid condition, normal shoot is required through the process of matured embryo.

Gene Expression in The Fifth Generation of TMV Resistant Transgenic Tobacco Plane at Elevated Temperature (TMV 저항성 형질전환 연초식물체 제 5 세대에서 유전자 안정성 및 고온조건에서의 유전자 발현)

  • Tobacco mosaic virus(TMV) coat protein cDNA was transformed to Nicotiana tabacum cv. NC82 and the transgenic tobacco plants resistant to TMV infection were isolated in the next generation. The expression of TMV coat protein cDNA and genetic stability of the fifth generation of TMV resistant transgenic tobacco plants at the higher temperature were investigated. The TMV coat protein cDNA was amplified by genomic PCR in all the TMV resistant transgenic tobacco plants. The TMV coat protein expressed in the transgenic tobacco plants was detected at very low level by immunoblot hybridization. Even in tansgenic plants that showed the viral symptom only on very late sucker growth (delay type plants), the coat protein expression in the suckers was much less than that of susceptible tobacco infected with TMV. The TMV coat protein expressed in the transgenic tobacco plants was below 0.01% of total protein. Transcription and expression of the coat protein cDNA in delay type plants were observbed at high temperature (38$^{\circ}C$), and TMV replication was suppressed at both 28$^{\circ}C$ and 38$^{\circ}C$. This indicates that unlike the resistance conferred by 'N' gene. TMV resistance of transgenic tobacco plant won't break down at high temperature.

A study on the influence of service recovery activities on churning commodities (Focus on the Cable-TV Industry) (서비스 회복활동이 상품전환에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (케이블TV산업 중심으로))

  • The purpose of this research is to study how service recovery activities influence customers' commodity churning in the media telecommunication industry(CATV industry). Put it differently, we tried to identify this change of commodity churning rates by the stages of service failures, by which we intend to emphasize the importance of service recoveries. Korean media telecommunication market has already been saturated; customers tend to move to bigger major companies with better customer care increasingly. As once customers gone never returns, CRM functions are being reinforced over the time. We were able to have the following results. First, turning rates, for those experienced service failure, who were dissatisfied with service recovery activities are 2~5 times (monthly average turning rates are 1.3%) higher than those satisfied. Secondly, active service recovery activities at the customer's service request after experiencing service failure lowered churning rates significantly. The most effective timing is service recovery activities pre-recovery stage. Thirdly, reward activities after service recovery activities at the immediate recovery stage is more effective than service recovery at the arranged recovery schedule and reward activities after customer's expressing churning intension. The implications of this study are that firms should engage in service recovery activities at the time of identifying service failures, prior to customer's expressing churning intention, which means relatively lower ROI for the service recovery activities than the times of customers' expressing churning intention.
