Performance Analysis of Cooperative Localization Algorithm Considering Wireless Propagation Characteristics (무선 전파특성을 고려한 협력 위치추정 알고리즘 성능분석)

  • In this paper, we proposed and analyzed a RSSI based cooperative localization algorithm considering wireless propagation characteristics in indoor and outdoor environments for wireless sensor networks, which can estimate the BN position. The conventional RSSI based estimation scheme has low precision ranging due to instability propagation characteristics by time variable. Hence, we implemented ray-launching simulator for analysis of propagation characteristics in 4 case, and experimented proposed localization scheme with 4 RN and 1 to 5 BN. Simulation results show that NLCA has estimation error as 2m-3.5m, however, proposed CLA/ECLA has 1.3m-2.5m/0.5m-1.2m by same environments. Therefore, if we can consider channel characteristics, the proposed algorithm provides higher localization accuracy than RSSI based conventional one.

  • 세계전파통신회의 (WRC; World Radiocommunication Conference)회의는 국제전기통신연합 (ITU)에서 발행하는 국제 전파법과 관련된 전파규약을 갱신하거나 새로운 법 제정을 위해, 3-4년 간격으로 개최되는 전파통신 관련 회의라고 할 수 있다. WRC-12회의는 2012년 1월 23일 -2월 17일에 걸쳐 스위스 제네바에서 개최되며, 동회의의 원활한 진행을 위하여, 25개의 WRC 의제들에 대한 ITU 산하의 연구반 (ITU-R Study Group) 연구결과들을 기술보고서로 확정하기 위한 회의(CPM-11, Conference Preparatory Meeting)가 2011년 2월 14일-25일에 걸쳐 스위스 제네바에서 역시 개최된다. 이에 한국천문연구원에서는 KVN과 일본국립천문대(ASTRO-G)간의 원활한 국제 공동 VLBI연구를 위해, WRC회의에서 최종적인 규정개정을 함에 있어서 필요한 CPM기술문서작성과 관련된 ITU-R 연구반 회의에서 주도적인 역할을 수행하고 있다. 따라서 본 발표에서는 2010년 6월 10-18일에 걸쳐 스위스 제네바에서 진행되었던 ITU-R WP7B, 7D 회의에서, 우리나라가 전파천문업무와 관련된 기술문서 개정사항에 대하여 제출하였던 제안결과 및 회의 주요 결과를 소개하고, 전파천문업무 보호 및 22 GHz 대역 달탐사, 38 GHz 대역 Space-VLBI운용대역과 관련된 WRC-12 의제 1.6, 1.11, 1.12 등에 대한 향후 대응방안을 알아보고자 한다.

  • MIMO wireless communication embedded systems, and for propagation prediction for indoor and outdoor propagation prediction program incorporates an indoor/outdoor propagation through the simulator can be predicted. Development of the prediction of the conventional methods, but I can consider the environmental characteristics of the ray tracing simulation software to develop and implement an efficient ray tracing, ray tracing techniques and are designed to enable tracked beam analysis of propagation characteristics using information technology by combining the theoretical characteristics of an efficient and well-reflected propagation prediction technique was employed. The frequency of domestic embedded systems, ensure the frequency characteristics and frequency of 3-5GHz band for propagation to investigate the development of local wireless communication technology-based skills needed for securing and jeonpaganseopdeung frequency management techniques to ensure the verification and verified through experiments.

Estimation of Velocities of Acoustic Signals and Source Locations in PSC Beam by Acoustic Emission (AE기법을 이용한 PSC보의 음파속도와 음원위치 산정방법)

  • Experimental tests were performed to estimate velocities of the acoustic signals through prestressed concrete beam and source locations using acoustic emission (AE) techniques. Seven AE sensors are mounted on the surface of 5m length test beam with equal spacing and using Schmidt Hammer AE events are made at 18 locations. The velocities of AE signals are estimated using the time differences of arrival times and the distances between the source locations and the AE sensor locations. In addition, using the Least Square Method, the AE source locations are re-evaluated reversely using both of the arrival times and the velocities of AE signals. Test results show the average velocity of the AE signals is about 4,000 m/sec and the velocity decreased with the increase of the distance from source locations to AE sensors due to the effect of attenuation. Based on the estimation of the source locations, it is observed that the errors of source locations are decreased when the velocities of each AE sensor are used rather than the average velocity.

  • The accurate analysis of ultrasonic wave propagation and scattering plays an important role in many aspects of nondestructive evaluation. A numerical analysis makes it possible to perform parametric studies, and in this way the probability of detection and reliability of test results can be improved. In this study, a finite element method was developed for the analysis of ultrasonic fields, the accuracy of results was checked by solving several representative problems. The size of element and the integral time step, which are the critical components for the convergence of numerical results, were determined in a commercial finite element code. Several propagation and scattering problems in 2-D isotropic and anisotropic materials were solved and their results were compared with known analytical or experimental results.

  • Composites with various layer constructions involving the ratio of S/P were produced from wood strands(S) and particles(P) (Cryptomeria japonica D.Don) to measure various Young's moduli and anisotropy by ultrasonics. As a result, static Young's moduli of composites were almost same as dynamic Young's moduli obtained from natural frequency. However, these were smaller than those evaluated from ultrasonic wave propagation velocity. The differences between propagation velocity of the parallel(${\parallel}$) and perpendicular(${\bot}$) in-plane direction resulted in a tendency of anisotropy. The tendency of anisotropy was larger in three-layer constructions than in seven-layer constructions. The differences of strand surface layers showed larger values than those of particle surface layers. Also, composites with higher weight ratio of strand had a tendency to propagate rapidly in each direction. In contrast to these results, the propagation velocity in the thickness direction had a tendency to propagate rapidly in composites with particle surface layers and the lower weight ratio of strand.

Improved full-waveform inversion of normalised seismic wavefield data (정규화된 탄성파 파동장 자료의 향상된 전파형 역산)

  • The full-waveform inversion algorithm using normalised seismic wavefields can avoid potential inversion errors due to source estimation required in conventional full-waveform inversion methods. In this paper, we have modified the inversion scheme to install a weighted smoothness constraint for better resolution, and to implement a staged approach using normalised wavefields in order of increasing frequency instead of inverting all frequency components simultaneously. The newly developed scheme is verified by using a simple two-dimensional fault model. One of the most significant improvements is based on introducing weights in model parameters, which can be derived from integrated sensitivities. The model-parameter weighting matrix is effective in selectively relaxing the smoothness constraint and in reducing artefacts in the reconstructed image. Simultaneous multiple-frequency inversion can almost be replicated by multiple single-frequency inversions. In particular, consecutively ordered single-frequency inversion, in which lower frequencies are used first, is useful for computation efficiency.

Efficient 3D Acoustic Wave Propagation Modeling using a Cell-based Finite Difference Method (셀 기반 유한 차분법을 이용한 효율적인 3차원 음향파 파동 전파 모델링)

  • In this paper, we studied efficient modeling strategies when we simulate the 3D time-domain acoustic wave propagation using a cell-based finite difference method which can handle the variations of both P-wave velocity and density. The standard finite difference method assigns physical properties such as velocities of elastic waves and density to grid points; on the other hand, the cell-based finite difference method assigns physical properties to cells between grid points. The cell-based finite difference method uses average physical properties of adjacent cells to calculate the finite difference equation centered at a grid point. This feature increases the computational cost of the cell-based finite difference method compared to the standard finite different method. In this study, we used additional memory to mitigate the computational overburden and thus reduced the calculation time by more than 30 %. Furthermore, we were able to enhance the performance of the modeling on several media with limited density variations by using the cell-based and standard finite difference methods together.

  • 국내 전파법을 바탕으로 경량전철신호제어시스템용 무선통신장치와 무선데이터통신시스템간 간섭거리를 계산하였다. 무선데이터통신시스템이 실내에 설치되어 있는 경우 경량전철신호제어시스템용 무선통신장치를 사용하는 것이 문제없음을 화인하였다. 또한 실외의 경우에도 큰 문제없이 신호제어시스템용 분석장치를 사용할 수 있음을 확인하였다.
