• Through the comparative analysisand inductive research on main creation styles of Chinese, American and Japanese animation films, a conclusion can be given out, which means that the animation film style of each country can hardly be formed without their own traditional painting art, aesthetics habits and ways of thinking. It is these characteristics that form their unique animation film style. America emphasizes realism art, development and utilization of new technology, Japan pays sepcial attention totraditional painting art and comic stories. In business aspect, they bring about different business models relying on the experience of satisfying the diverse needs of domestic and global entertainment markets. When it comes to the content field, they carry forward universal values and meet the individualistic heroismso that a variety of business animation films and art animation films find their ways into the global market and acquire great popularity among audiences from all over the world. Through the comparasion of American and Japanese animation films, a new view to analyze the animation films of China is created. Animation creation is largely based on the need of socialist ideology from 50s to 80s. Even though the purposes of animation film creations returned to satisfying the diverse requirements of commercial markets and audiences, the consequences, such as the break gap of creations and talents, the lack of diverse creative styles and commercial market operation mechanism, sitll affect China's animation films today. Japan found thier position from the American model and became successful. Nowadays, China need find our own creative style and position from American model and Japanese model. • Ladysmith Black Mambazo is a group of men influenced by South African traditional Zulu a cappella and American black music. The Jubilee Choir of the United States came to South Africa in the 1870s and influenced South African music while performing. Ladysmith Black Mambazo's music can be the result of the combination of the indigenous Zulu a cappella and the American Jubilee music style. This group participated in Paul Simon's album "Graceland" and became world famous. The album won a Grammy Award for sales of millions of copies. After that, they released their own albums and won 5 times Grammy Awards (nominated 15 times) They inherited and developed Zulu music under the philosophy of "preserving musical heritage". As a samely non-Western country, with hope their spirit, inheriting old one and innovating new one, gives positive inspiration for Korean music, I investigated how their music, 'Black Is Beautiful', 'Homeless' are influenced by the western music and inherited their own traditional music in it.

  • IIn the United States, professional dress codes for working women have changed over time since the 1970s. Considering the changes, from conservative and traditional business uniforms in the 1970s, business casual in the late 1980s through 1990s, and the current revival of tailored business suits, this study investigated working women's business jacket practices and their association with personal, psycho-social, and physical characteristics. Working women's job satisfaction and corporate culture were also examined in relation to business jacket practices. Research data were collected by implementing mail surveys to 1,500 randomly selected working women in the United States. Of the 1,500 distributed questionnaires, a total of 312 were returned, of which 265 were deemed usable, yielding a 20.8% response rate. For data analysis, descriptive statistics, such as frequency, percentage distribution, mean scores, standard deviations, and Canonical Correlation were tabulated. The respondents ranged in age from 22 to 65. The mean age of the respondents was 44 years(SD=9.63). Most respondents were married(77.4%), working full-time(81.4%), career-oriented (77.2%), Caucasian(89.8%), had at least one child(78.9%), and had a professional job(75.9%). Working women's age, number of children, self-confidence in dressing, perceived importance of clothing, body frame size, and visibility to superiors and public were positively associated with business jacket practices, while age of first child, family size, dress size, and job satisfaction were negatively associated with business jacket practices.

  • The term "B film" is contrasted to the term "A film" and it has started life since the Great Depression. Film industry had planned the double bills for the audience attraction; double bills means the release of A film and B film. While A's is made to make profits, B's film is made to meet the balance. B film has two features of low budget and low technology. Nevertheless B film has its own style and aesthetics and ironically has made the film more creative and innovative. Historically, it has been related to European and American avant-garde. Robert Florey who is worthy of notice among the early B film makers has adapted and integrated the expressionist and avant-garde styles into the American feature. He also preferred the greater liberty generally afforded "B" directors. Florey has directed Murders in the Rue Morgue and The Florentine Dagger due to the success of his experimental films. Murders in the Rue Morgue shows the style and aesthetics of avant-garde through horror genre and The Florentine Dagger shows the style and aesthetics of avant-garde through thriller genre.

  • As the market sheare of the Chinese game market across the world has been largely expanded over a decade, big game exporters of USA, Japan, Korea have developed Chinese factors and promoted export strategies, that target China. The Purpose of this study is to analyze the popular game characters of USA, Japan and Korea in order to provide empirical analysis of traditional Chinese elements applied in existing games. The RPG games in USA, Japan and Korea were selected for the contents analysis of the Chinese elements to show how the existing game companies used Chinese elements. The main findings of the research from survey data are rather inconsistent with the content analysis. In particular, all the RPG game companies of USA, Japan and Korea showed a remarkable ratio of using Manzu clothes more than Hanzu clothes. But, the preference of real game users on the Manzu style were lower than Hanzu style. Moreover, Chinese users showed more preference of the game character background that users more deepen Chinese culture. We suggest that applying Chinese elements need to be more selective based on real user's demand.

  • The Musical Theatre was a popular art genre that originated from the western musical tradition represented by the European opera. In the twentieth century, it bloomed around Broadway in the United States. It is also one of the commercial arts which is popularly loved by the public in the field of performing arts all over the world at present. Due to the nature of this genre, the development of dramas and the expression of characters use music, not words or gestures, as the main medium. And the style of music reacts sensitively to the taste of the public, not to a particular class. When Japan colonized Korea, the empire strongly believed modernization equaled westernization and Japan was the one who could awaken Korean. The Japanese colonial music education was intended to bring cooperation and obedience to Japan by forcibly injecting Japanese ideology and culture into Joseon people. The music education of colonialism with the textbook of the "Songs for public education(보통교육 창가집)" compiled by the Japanese government was a sparkstone for the conversion of the Korean musical identity to Japanese and Western music. In addition to the capitalistic economical mechanism for establishing a South Korean government friendly with the United States during the Cold War after liberation, and the rush of American Pop culture represented by 'the show stage in 8th US Arm' and 'movies' which are to be the influence of invisible 'new cultural imperialism', our traditional music was confined to the meaning of 'Korean music', meaning 'past music'. In Korea, after the liberation, the musical was introduced by the influx of American popular culture. In accordance with the cultural policy of Park Jeong-hee regime, which aimed to spread the 'healthy culture' through the modernization of traditional arts, 'The Yegreen(예그린악단)' was founded. However, the plan to create a contemporary performing art based on Korean national arts showed the possibility of success in 1966 with the success of , but soon after, they have been destined to fall into an institution that has lost their ability to operate on their own due to the suspension of the sponsorship of the regime. Due to the cultural imperialist strategy of the influence of Japanese imperialism's colonial music education and influx of American popular culture after liberation, in the early days of Korean musicals, our traditional aesthetic style brought about the situation of the 1960 's, which did not become an independent ethnic art through the exchange and expansion with Western music. This is the background of the western licensed musicals led by the Korean musical market in the 21st century as well as the main cause of musical creation based on western music.
