A Study on the Heat Transfer Characteristics of Rotating Heat Pipe with the Water-Ethanol Mixture as Working Fluid (물-에탄올 혼합물을 작동유체로 한 회전형 히트파이프의 전열 특성에 관한 연구)

  • Heat transfer characteristics of a rotating heat pipe have been studied numerically and experimentally with using water-ethanol mixture as working fluid. And triangular fins are attached inside the rotating heat pipe. Experimental results generally agreed with numerical results. According to increasing rpm and vapour pressure of the rotating heat pipe, the heat transfer rate increased. And also according to decreasing the concentration of ethanol, the heat transfer rate increased. In the case of using the pure ethanol as working fluid, the heat transfer rate was about 80% of using distilled water. The heat transfer rate and operating temperature difference of the rotating heat pipe was much influenced by ethanol concentration, and the optimum ethanol concentration was 0.2.

  • Public transit services are generally analyzed based on the correlation of demand and supply. The computation of supply uses accessibility while demand uses travel demands estimation based on residential population. However, the traditional demand estimation has a limitation in analysing in micro-scale compared to the smartcard data traffic. This study analyzed potential improvement of public transit services using smartcard traffic data. The supply of transportation was defined using time distance accessibility. Also, time loss was calculated in those origin destination(OD) pairs where time distance accessibilities are relatively low. The proposed method was applied at Seoul. The results showed that the areas where OD pairs need improvement include Seodaemun-gu, Guro-gu and Nowon-gu.

  • According to governmental policies for green growth, the increase in the traffic volume of railroad is a representative method to reduce total greenhouse gas (GHG) emitted from transport. Comprehensive assessment for the GHG emission of railroad has been studied to compare the difference of transport modes just in the operating step excluded the construction step. The purpose of this study was to evaluate GHG emissions in railroad construction sector. The targets were some construction works for civil, track, building, and electric system in A line. The GHG emission source of constructing railroad infrastructure was mainly the energy consumption of heavy equipments. As a result, the civil construction sector showed more than 96% of total GHG emissions and its specific GHG emission was 2.191 ton $CO_2e/m$. Also, the specific GHG emissions of civil construction works were of the order: earthworks > tunnels > bridges > station. In future, it will be required to calculate the overall GHG emission of railroad through life cycle approaches including operation, maintenance and disposal step.

  • This study was performed by chemical analysis and metallographic observation. Chemical properties were analized by ICP, XRD and SEM-EDS and slag structures were observed by microscope and SEM. Total Fe amounts in A, C area of slag can be observed $39\~45\%$ by chemical analysis results. It was average of acient times. CaO was $3\~8\%$. It's not plentiful but we think that was artificial. Ti was found in A area a little, and Ti, V were found in C area so much. The compounds, as if Fayalite, Wustite, Magnetite, Ilmenite, Pseudo-brookite, Ulvospinel, Forsterite, Fephroite, Olivine were observed in the result XRD. These structures were also observed in microscope and SEM image. Therefore, The furnance of A area usually used an iron mine, An Iron furnance of C area considered it which refined using a raw iron mine and a raw iron sand.

  • Recently, power quality problems in AC high-Speed Railway system have been raised, because heavy train and its higher speed are required in addition to new control system by using the Electronic devices. The installation/operation of the Series Capacitor(SC) has been only a device far voltage drop in power system up to now. However, the sufficient effectiveness of compensating In voltage drop has not been proved yet because of technical limitationf SC, and harmonic resonance is attracting a attention as one of new issues. Several problems are expected such as vocational problems of a traction substation, and overloading caused by a new construction of electric railway and the in transport. Therefore, extension of power feeding the fault in the traction substation should be also considered. So this paper represents the application of TSC-SVC on the electric railway power feeding system as a device of voltage compensation, and the simulations are executed through PSCAD/EMTDC.

  • Hydraulic filling methods are widely applied to suppress the land subsidence recently. But the research on high-efficiency hydraulic filling to protect the land subsidence is rare. In this study, field experiments to improve the efficiency of the hydraulic filling method are performed by changing the property, specification of the filling material and injection pipe. The filling amounts using vertical injection pipe, reducing tee (${\phi}100mm$) pipe, reducing tee (${\phi}80mm$) pipe and reducing tee (${\phi}50mm$) pipe showed 28.84 ton, 42.62 ton, 53.33 ton, and 63.33 ton respectively. The filling rates using reducing tee (${\phi}100mm$) pipe, reducing tee (${\phi}80mm$) pipe and reducing tee (${\phi}50mm$) pipe showed 47.8%, 84.9% and 119.6% respectively. Filling efficiency can be incresed by using reducing tee. This study shows that simply changing the type of injection pipe is expected to increase the hydraulic filling rate.

  • 일반적으로 국내의 대부분의 전기철도는 단상 교류식이므로 전력계통의 3상 154[kV]을 스코트 변압기를 통해 단상 55[kV]로 변환하여 단상 교류로 공급받는다. 전기철도는 기동 특성 및 제동 특성에 따라 부하의 급증과 급감, 임의의 한 급전 구간 내에 운행 일정 중복으로 다수의 전기철도 차량이 운행될 경우 상호간 전기적 특성이 수시로 변한다. 이와 같은 전기적 특성이 수시로 변하는 전력량은 스코트 변압기에서 전력량을 측정하게 된다. 스코트 변압기 1차측 3상 전력이 2차측 단상 전력으로 변환하는 전기기기이며, 전동차가 제동시 회생전력이 발생되는데 이로인해 스코트변압기의 1차측과 2차측 위상이 다르게 발생되어 계량오차가 발생되는 문제점이 있다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 계량오차의 문제점을 해결하기 위해, 스코트 변압기 2차측 기준으로 전압과 전류의 위상차를 계산하여 회생전력과 수전전력을 정확하게 계량하여 오차를 판단하고 보정하는 알고리즘을 제시하고자 한다.

  • 본 연구에서는 다양한 토지이용의 불교란 토양칼럼 시료를 대상으로 토양 물리화학 특성 및 자연강우에 대한 토양배수 양상을 분석하였다. 공극률은 토양컬럼에서의 유효공극률과 투수계수 및 자연강우에 대한 배수율과 대체로 정의 상관관계를 보인다. 미국 통일분류법에 따라 토양을 분류하였을 때 소성성이 낮은 실트질 토양과 점토질 토양은 유효공극률이 낮으면서 배수율도 낮고, 소성성이 없는 실트질이 섞인 자갈(유구-논)과 실트질 모래는 유효공극률이 비교적 높으면서 배수율이 다소 높았다. 불교란 토양컬럼을 완전 포화상태에서 자연배수할 때 대부분의 토양은 50시간 전후로 거의 다. 배수되며 $150{\sim}200$시간 경과되면 거의 모든 토양에서 완전배수가 되었다. 일부 500여시간이 경과되어도 지속적으로 배수되는 토양이 있는데 이는 토양수분보유특성에 기인하는 것으로 사료된다. 배수량으로 가정한 함양량 실측실험에서는 오송(전의)임야 > 무주-밭, 무주-논 > 유구-임야 > 김해-밭 > 유구-논, 유구-밭 순으로 높았으며 이들 시료들의 함양률은 50% 이상이었다. 토성에 따른 자연강우 배수상태를 보면, 소성성이 낮은 실트질 토양의 배수율이 낮고, 실트질 모래는 다양한 배수상태를 보이나 대체로 배수율이 높다. 그리고 1차, 2차 실험에서 선행 강우 5mm 미만은 토양배수에 영향을 미치지 않았다.

  • Recently the ground settlement has been increasing in urban area according to development. And, this may attribute a groundwater level drawdown. This study presents an analysis of groundwater level drawdown for circular vertical shaft excavation of 「◯◯◯◯ double track railway build transfer operate project」. And, in-situ monitoring data and numerical analysis were compared. So, if we examine the groundwater level drawdown in design, ground conditions should be applied so that the site situation can be reflected. And, groundwater level should be considered a seasonal measurement in order to apply the appropriate groundwater level. It was confirmed a similar predicted value to groundwater level drawdown of in-situ monitoring data.

  • This study analyzes the factors that influence the number of public transportation passengers. By comparing the major TOD planning elements such as mixed-use level, job-housing proximity level, comparison of the density and pure density in the 66-autonomous city townships through a comparison such as TOD plan element achievements and indicators are chosen. A model is derived by correlation analysis and regression analysis of the parameters. The result of the regression analysis of the station influence area (SIA) in Incheon, the parameters that effect the number of passengers of public transportation are the number of employees, population, number of bus stops in the SIA, and the distance between the bus stop and the subway entrance. Therefore, as the number of employees and the resident population increase, the volume of traffic increases. Also, the number of public transportation users increases when there are more bus stops and when the distance between the bus stop and the subway entrance is short. This study shows that subways and SIA has achieved many parts of the TOD in Incheon, because the SIA around 29 subways and 11 Seoul-Incheon trail stations already included important TOD planning elements.
