정보화 사회의 발전과 인터넷의 급속한 확산으로 인하여 디지털 콘텐츠에 대한 수요 및 생산되는 콘텐츠의 수가 기하급수적으로 증가하고 있다. 그러나 디지털 콘텐츠는 생산 및 수집 시기, 그리고 저장 방법 등에 따라 그 형태가 매우 다양하므로 디지털 콘텐츠를 표준화할 수 있는 방법에 대한 연구가 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 디지털 콘텐츠의 메타데이터 타입을 표준화하기 위한 새로운 메타데이터 타입을 정의한다. 제안하는 메타데이터 타입은 XML 형태로 기술하며 디지털 콘텐츠의 국제 표준 메타데이터인 더블린코어에 기초하여 정의한다. 제안 방법은 더블린코어에서 정의한 주요소에 역할 속성을 추가하여 콘텐츠 생산에 직간접적으로 영향을 준 생산자 정보를 표현할 수 있다. 또한 제안하는 방법은 콘텐츠 생산에 관련된 연관 콘텐츠 정보를 유지함으로써 디지털 콘텐츠 간의 연관 관계를 표현 할 수 있다.

최근 주목을 받고 있는 디지털교과서를 위해 제안되었던 대부분의 연구 결과는 플래시 기반으로 구성되거나, 전용 클라이언트를 설치해야 하는 등 교과서의 본질에 충실하지 못한 문제를 가지고 있었다. 본 논문에서는 교과서의 본질에 충실하고, 학교에서는 물론이고 집에서도 사용 가능한 e-교과서 구현을 위해 전자책 표준 가운데 전 세계적으로 가장 널리 사용 중인 e-Pub 표준을 적용하고자 하였다. XML 기반의 e-Pub 표준 적용을 위해 초등학교 국어, 영어, 수학 교과서를 분석하였으며, 과목 별로 상이한 구조 표현을 위해 최소한의 요소(element)를 정의함으로써, 저자 별, 과목 별 구조적 특성을 자유롭게 반영할 수 있도록 하였다.

The e-Navigation promoted by the International Maritime Organization is a technology that provides marine-related information necessary for ship and shore side by electronic means for marine safety, security and protecting marine environment. The IHO S-100 standard is a geospatial standard that can express various hydrographic information. Various specifications including S-101 for electronic charts are being developed. In this paper, to help developers who are interested in implementing the technology of S-100, we not only analyze the process to portray the S-100 based data but also implement a case study on S-129 under keel clearance management. The portrayal process consists of data encoding and portrayal engine. Data encoding includes generation of application schema and data set. Portrayal engine is performed by the reform of the generated data set, the XSLT processing, and then the generation of drawing instructions.

IMO developed e-navigation implementation plan which is a new paradigm of vessel safety navigation using harmonized information technology. S-100 standard for electronic navigational chart is also adopted as one of e-navigation strategies. In S-100 framework, not only geographic features of electronic chart but every safety related objects can be expressed by UML so that can be provided by web services. This paper research to test S-100 web service for casualty information. It is processed by modeling with UML, converting XML document by XML schema. Finally, the XML data is represented by web-based application.

본 연구는 MPEG-21 프레임 기반 하에서 컨텐츠의 유통/관리와 툴의 유통/관리를 위한 요소 사항들을 분류하고 기술 사항들을 고려하여 모델을 작성하고 해당 모델을 시제품화 함으로써 제시된 모델의 적용성을 증명한다. 현재 MPEG-21은 DRM의 표준으로 진행되고 있으며 디지털 컨텐츠의 제작, 인식, 서술, 표현, 배급, 지적재산권 보호 등과 같이, 디지털 컨텐츠의 다양한 서비스 모델을 확립하고, 이러한 서비스 모델을 실현하기 위한 필수 요소 기술들을 정의하고 있다. MPEG-21 표준으로 사용자들이 멀티미디어 컨텐츠를 편리하게 전송, 검색, 저장 및 관리를 위한 컨텐츠의 유통/관리와 툴의 유통/관리 시스템을 구현하고자 한다.

In this paper, we define the functions of e-textbook(electronic textbook) for complementing weak points of traditional textbooks. Also, we propose a markup language format for representing e-textbook with XML which is a standard of interoperability on the internet. And we design and implement an e-textbook which shows the various functions of the e-textbook. Finally, we show some examples which make use of the developed e-textbook using the browser.

XML이 가지는 다양한 장점을 이용하기 위해, 음악을 XML로 표현하려는 다양한 연구가 계속되고 있다. 그러나, SMDL, MNML, MusicXML과 같은 기존의 연구는 악보상의 정보를 그대로 표현하거나, 전자 음악의 표준인 MIDI 포맷과의 상호교환성을 중심으로 연구되어 왔기 때문에 음악에 대해 구조-내용 기반 복합 검색을 하기에는 부적합하다. 이를 해결하기 위해 본 논문에서는 음악의 대표 선율을 이용한 구조-내용 기반 복합 검색을 위한 XML 스키마를 제안한다. 먼저, 본 논문에서는 사용자가 질의할 가능성이 높은 첫 동기, 절정, 일정 유사도 내에서 반복되는 주제 선율을 해당 음악을 대표하는 선율로서 XML 스키마에 표현하였다. 제안한 XML 스키마에 대해 XML 질의 언어를 이용하여 구조-내용 기반 복합 검색시 전체 선율을 검색하지 않고 대표 선율만을 검색하여 사용자의 응답 시간을 빠르게 할 수 있다.

This paper proposes the constructing method of effective multiplier using basis transformation. Th proposed multiplier is composed of the standard-dual basis transformation circuit module to change one input into dual basis the operation module to generate from bm to bm+k by the m degree irreducible polynomial, and the polynomial multiplicative module to consist of $m^2$ AND and m(m-1) EX-OR gates. Also, the dual-standard basis transformation circuit module to change the output part to be shown as a dual basis into standard basis is composed. The operation modules to need in each operational part are defined.

A Semantic Web based service description is to enable intelligent matchmaking of services by improving representational flexibility and expressiveness in service description for Web Services. Flexibility concerns the way of how a computer handles the discrepancies in the granularity and the structure of service description between different participants of web services. Expressiveness means richness in the semantic description of services (or ontological representation of each service as a concept). The main shortcoming of currently available industry standard framework for e-commerce such as UDDI and ebXML is that they do not allow much flexibility and expressiveness in the service description. In our research we analyze the requirements of extending service description based on the Semantic Web, especially in the context of DAML-S. We also propose a method to be applied to implement intelligent web services by implementing a virtual auction site, testAuction.com. Finally, we consider some theoretical issues regarding the framework for web services using ontology.

The purpose of this paper is to examine the frequency and usage of sentence patterns appearing in electronic dictionaries used in Korean language education in order to design an automatic sentence patterns checking. First, the concept of sentence patterns is defined and it is classified into sentence structure patterns and sentencial expression patterns. Sentence structure patterns and sentencial expression patterns are analyzed how they are expressed in the Korean Learner's Corpus. learner's Corpus is built into the Standard Corpus, which all Korean Learners must learn, and the Errors Corpus made by learners. From these research, we will find out how frequently the Sentential Patterns are being used in the Standard Corpus which has been made of Korean Texts and how the Sentential Pattern are being used in the Errors Corpus which were constructed from Korean learner's writings. Finally, having described the Sentential Patterns on the Sentential Electric Dictionary, we determine the optimum speed in the search for the Sentential Pattern.
